Came here because I got a 90 minute massage with add on Groupon for my birthday. You cannot book Groupon massages online which is annoying, you can only do that on the phone. Getting there deal was nice and helpful deciding which add on to do - I did the Himalayan salt stones. The waiting area is just in the front which is different from most massage studios I go to where it's a calmer darker room to wait. Still nice and they offered hot towels if you wanted. The massage room was pretty normal. They asked what type of pressure and massage I wanted. The massage itself was, not great. I asked for deep pressure and it just felt like getting oil rubbed on me. There was no target around the muscles and even when I asked for deeper pressure it remained the same. It felt like maybe my therapist was new and didn't know what he was doing. I asked to avoid my hair and he massaged my scalp and messed with my hair anyways. The Himalayan salt stones were nice but they were used for a few minutes on my back and that was it. In addition my massage ended 10 minute earlier than it should have. It was a 90 minute massage not 80 minute so that was quite annoying as well. Will not be back. read more

I bought a Groupon for a one hour facial + one hour infrared sauna session a couple months ago, and I called, hoping to book within the week. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. I didn't get a response for four days, so I called again the following week. They didn't have any openings that week but booked me for the following. I normally never really reschedule, but I had a work schedule conflict and also got sick another week. Both times I called, no one answered the phone despite it being during business hours. Some days, I would call every hour to see if someone would pick up, thinking they're just bad at checking voicemails regularly. This was not the case either -- I have never encountered a spa that doesn't have someone pick up throughout their whole work day. Jennifer was usually the person to pick up. She is friendly and rescheduled me when I needed to, but you never know if or when you are going to get a hold of someone. There were times where we'd speak then she'd call me back following up on a voicemail, not having any idea we had already spoken within the day. I was finally supposed to come in today (I confirmed via text yesterday morning), but then I received a voicemail from the spa yesterday at 5pm, less than 24 hours before my 3pm appt today. She didn't leave her name (it wasn't Jennifer), but she said that the facial esthetician, Susan, was going to be out. Fine I guess, but then she says that they went ahead and cancelled the appt. I'm thinking, why didn't you just offer to reschedule me?? Then she says that I should just contact Groupon to get a refund and then closes with saying that the spa may be closing (permanently). They didn't ask for a call back, so I didn't. I contacted Groupon yesterday but so far have only been able to get a credit, not a refund. I'm super bummed because I can't really find any other good places on Groupon to get a facial that are within a reasonable distance. Surprisingly I received a text from the spa this morning (pictured) asking if I wanted to come in earlier for my scheduled facial.... uh, what?? I wasn't sure if it was another automated text like they've sent before, so I asked, to which they said no. I told them about the voicemail I had received the day before, and they said the person who left the voicemail must have been mistaken. They didn't offer any sort of discount despite the hassle and contradicting communication, so I declined coming in at all. I decided to treat myself to a birthday massage. The staff was SO nice and my massage therapist was great as well. Super friendly and kind. The actual place itself is very nice and relaxing. The waiting room is calming and they have water and tea for you while you wait. Clean, cozy, smells yummy! The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because my 60 minute massage was not 60 minutes. I showed up at about 1:58 for my 2:00 massage. I waited for only about 5 mins and my therapist came to get me. We discussed my goals for the massage, my problem areas, etc, and she left the room for me to undress and get under the blanket. We started the massage about 2:10. The massage was great but when she left the room I checked the clock and it was 2:56. I just felt kind of ripped off getting a 45 minute massage when I had paid for a 60 minute. I love this place. The sauna is like... amazing. You get to sit around by yourself in a warm room with the power to control the temperature, duration and entertainment. Like seriously, have you lived until you've binged on Netflix in an infrared sauna? They also have facials and massages, both of which are pretty good. Not necessarily the most effective, but such a great way to relax. Plus online booking!!!! Anything that allows me to reduce human contact is great in my book. One word of caution... The website prices rarely take into any specials or membership options they have in store. I'd make an appointment and pay in store instead of paying online, though they've comped me for differences before. read more

My massage was great. I was having bad back pain for a few weeks and 3 days after the massage my back feels significantly better. The pressure was strong enough to relieve a lot of knots in my neck and along my back. She respected the areas I did not want to get massaged and did a great job overall. The two things that were eh for me were the overall time of the massage and how she kept asking me question about my life/what I'm doing in Utah during the first 10-15 minutes of my massage. I paid for an hour with an optional spa but the massage time total was about 45 minutes and no spa was included. read more

Absolutely loved it! I went for the first time a couple days ago to get a massage. Ellen was so good! She asked about problem areas and really spent time massaging them. She asked about how I wanted the pressure. It was perfect. I got a 60 minute full body massage. I got a warm towel under neck and then one on each foot. It was heavenly. After the massage, Ellen gave me advice and stretches to do to help my problems areas! It was so thoughtful! I definitely will be back! And if I had to point out one negative... it would be my rooms AC/heating vent made noise when it would kick on but I didn't notice it during the massage. read more

By the actual owner who has no customer service and didn't offer an apology or compensation due to his error. I was understanding the first time due to multiple masseuse leaving and his story as covid has been a hardship on the business. The final straw was the negligence on his behave of not following through to make sure our second appt which was booked by him to be confirmed and when I asked for the email confirmation of my cancellation he said he was going to send it but busy. I asked again nicely if he would please send the confirmation as I don't want to spend money on a membership I can't even get a damn appt to! we came here for a couples massage this past saturday for my husband's birthday. this is the second professional massage I've ever had in my life, the first was at spavia in sandy last year for my birthday. my husband had to purchase a groupon just to be able to afford spavia! I hoped on groupon earlier in the month to look for a deal, and found literally nothing for couples massages! I decided to start calling around local places looking for quotes, I called massage green spa and was told $50 for person, even if it's in a couples massage. I also upgraded our room to the deluxe room with the fireplace and waterfall for $10 more. umm, hell yes!!! we arrived right at 10 am on saturday, the woman at the front desk was super sweet and showed us to the back waiting room, we filled out the form, we met the therapists and they asked a few questions, stripped down and got the 60 minute massage together! we both had great therapists and were super relaxed, it's been two days and my back is feeling great! my husband said that a lot of knots and ache that was in his neck & shoulders was gone! i highly suggest massage green spa, this is the only location I've ever been to but I'm sure the others are just as good! very affordable services, membership options are cheap as well compared to other places! read more

I feel really bad leaving this review, because the staff was all very nice and the spa is beautiful. I used a Groupon for a couples spa day (massage, facial and sauna). I'm not sure if paying the lower price with the Groupon made the staff think I either was a poor tipper or didn't deserve the real experience - in either case, don't use Groupon if your staff changes the experience on the client. My massage was supposed to be firm pressure. I felt like the therapist was just rubbing oil on me to put moisturizer on me. The table was supposed to be on medium heat, but it either didn't work or the room was super cold because I was freezing the whole time. Poor technique, at one point my arms were hanging off the table with blood rushing to them for at least 20 minutes. They started to tingle and get even more cold because I was not covered up. No reason to have my arms out for that long. She was working on my back and just left my arms hanging in the air. Odd. The facial was just ok. She didn't tell me what products she was using - which I typically like so I can buy them later if I liked the way they felt. I was cold and the massage during the facial felt like she was just rubbing old on me and holding my arms. Very odd. The sauna was good because I was so cold after two hours in cold rooms. Overall, nice staff but the services left me feeling like I wasted time and money. My husband felt the same way. He said it wasn't the worst but that he wouldn't go back. I thought maybe it was the Groupon or going on a Saturday afternoon and the staff was burnt out? But yes, we will not return. I'm bummed because I really wanted to like it and join as a member. Feeling a lot of tension over the last few weeks I finally decided to go in and get my first massage ever. I choose Massage Green Spa primarily due to its location, but my research also indicated that they should provide a fairly clean and decent experience. I was a tad nervous about getting naked in an unfamiliar room surrounded by strangers. Setting the appointment: I called ahead of time to see if they accepted walk-ins as I generally hate committing to a specific time. They indicated that they do normally accept walk-ins but could depend on how busy they were (totally expected and acceptable). Walk-in: I walked in and spoke to the receptionist who was very nice. She indicated that they typically start massages on the hour every hour so it would be about a 45 minute wait for the next massage. This seems inefficient if they have available massage technicians and likely contributes to the problem I will mention in a moment since they are on a rigid schedule. But overall I have no problem waiting for 45 minutes for the next round of massage. Waiting: They walk me back to a small lounge area (seems like they didn't want people waiting in the front lounge area for some reason). The room is dimly lit, she offered me a drink of water or tea and then left the room. The couches were relatively comfortable, the dim lighting was nice to help me start to relax. Massage: Some time later approximately 5-10 minutes after the start of the hour a Massage Technician walked in and invited me back to a room. She guided me into the room and asked me to get undressed and under the covers and she would be back shortly. The massage technician was very nice, answered any questions I had and helped put me at ease as this is the part I was dreading. So I got ready for the massage and she came back in a few minutes later and off we went. The massage was great, it was very relaxing, she focused on the areas we discussed, asked about how the pressure was a few times (it was a very nice firm pressure just short of pain which was perfect). She proceeded to uncover and massage each zone, carefully replacing each zone under the sheets again when she was done. I am not an expert on massage technique, but she very clearly had a technique she was working with using her hands, forearms and elbows which was amazing. This was supposed to be a Swedish massage, and from what I can tell based on the description that is exactly what was provided. Before I knew it the massage was done, there was no pressure for a membership which I appreciated having read the other reviews. Though I would have happily accepted additional time had she offered it before she left the room. I got dressed, looked at my clock and noticed we ended about 15 minutes early (I guess to give me time to get dressed and out before their next appointment). I got dressed, went to the front desk, the receptionist asked how my massage was (it was great), I paid the bill and left feeling very relaxed with more flexibility in my muscles than I have felt in a while. Overall it was a good experience, but here's my major problem with the procedures. Minus 10 - 15 minutes at the start, minus another 15 minutes at the end, and suddenly I'm looking at a 30 minute massage, not an hour long massage despite the fact that's what I paid for (granted the first massage was at a discount). I don't know what the standard is with other massage parlors, but paying for an hour long massage and really only getting about a 30 minute massage is the reason I deducted stars. I don't think starting late and ending early should be something I am paying $80 an hour for. Again this comes back to the point where they start the massage on the hour every hour. Because they start a new massage every hour, and each new client MUST inherently take up some time to get ready, or dressed afterwards, they will ALWAYS be cutting into your paid massage time. This practice just feels shady to me and is not something I would recommend. Instead, I think they should be scheduling additional time surrounding each appointment (+15 minutes on each end it sounds like) to account for getting the client prepped or dressed. If they want to start a massage on the hour, then they should plan for the masseuse and client to be there 15 minutes before the hour to prepare, and make sure the masseuse has an extra 15 minutes after the massage ends before her next appointment starts. If I were to do this again, I would likely schedule a 2 hour session so I actually get more than 30 minutes of massage. Regardless for those looking to use Massage Green Spa, be aware that they will eat into your time on both ends of the process and make sure to include that when comparing spa prices and locations. So you are really paying $80 for a half hour with Massage Green Spa. My only complaint in regards to my experience was all of the wasted time and only getting a 30 minute massage. Otherwise the actual massage was pretty great. read more

I took my boyfriend to get a couples massage for Christmas, thinking it would be a great way for him to relax while he's on leave from the Marine Corps. The reason I didn't give 1 Star is because my boyfriend did enjoy his massage, but mine was awful. I could barely feel any pressure, despite my requests for more firm pressure. I've never had a massage where I walked out agitated instead of relaxed because I felt zero benefit or relief. Worse yet, she did some technique I've never previously experienced (note: I'm someone who has frequently received massages for the last 3 years) where she, for lack of better term, pulled the skin on the front of my neck. My husband and I went here for couples massages today for Valentine's Day. This was my first professional massage so I didn't really know what to expect. The first impression was good - the location was nice, the ambience was good, the employees were friendly. As for the massage - I barely felt anything. I didn't feel very relaxed during the massage because all I could think was that I couldn't feel any pressure. She would literally put pressure on one point of my back, leg or whatever and then that was it for that area. It's like their hands were so weak! Not massage material. It felt like I was being massaged by hamsters so I don't know why we spent over $120 on it. After the massage I asked my husband how his was and his was the exact same - it felt like no one even touched him. We won't come back here again for massages - not worth it. read more

I was having back injections to control back pain and decided to try massage. Since getting my massages I've been pretty much pain free. I was able to stop the injections. I hate to write a one star review for a company that I highly recommended for years. I was a long-term member who was very happy until two locations closed very unexpectedly. It is my understanding that the franchise owner is to blame for whatever happened in Sandy and South Jordan. My disappointment lies in how the corporate office has handled the situation. Lehi has refused to honor the credits on my account and I have had absolutely no luck working with the corporate office. I have made several calls and left voicemails without reply. I sent emails and received replies that basically allude to the company waiting to resolve issues with the franchise owner before resolving problems with clients. This is unfortunate as one of the reasons I had a membership was due to the reciprocity clause that states that membership credits can be utilized at ANY location. Therefore, there I can find no reasonable explanation as to why my credits are unavailable for use in Lehi. When attempting to obtain an explanation or resolution to the problem (a refund for unused credits would be an acceptable alternative to allowing redeption in Lehi), Carlos Guzman, the president and COO of the company, has failed to reply. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this company as they have failed to fulfill the terms of the contract, refund my money (approximately $200), or even properly communicate. read more

I was on the hunt for a massage because I have been pretty tight lightly and my monthly massage wasn't cutting it. I decided to try something new so I called and got an appointment here. I went in tonight, no one said I needed to be there early at all and they would see me at my appointment time. I had told them I had never been but she still said see you at 6! So I show up at 6, end up filling out paperwork for ten minutes and then get called back. I tell the therapist my needs and that I want an upper body only so we could focus on my shoulders. Oh and I got a 90 minute massage. So we start in and she is talking a lot and I'm hoping this ends soon but she kept talking periodically through out along with asking me to take deep breathes a TON. I get it, breathing helps. But this was excessive. Then she only works on my back while I'm face down for a little bit. She asks if she may do at least a little leg work. I say fine but really it turned into a lot of leg work. I wanted upper body but she is pressuring me to do more? I feel like my legs, arms and hair got more attention then my shoulders. So the talking and saying things randomly continues but what really got me upset was she tried to sell me on a membership. During the massage. TWICE. Seriously? I'm trying to relax, how about you don't try and do this right now. There is a time and place for that and it's not while I'm trying to relax. Focus on my massage. I also feel like her talking lessened my massage because she was more focused on what she was saying so her strokes would speed up, be very inconsistent and the pressure would change. Then she gets done and walks out. I look at the time, she shorted me 15 minutes. Probably because of the paperwork time the front desk failed to tell me about or I would have been sooner.
