Not obvious, but seek it out and you won't be disappointed. Every inch is covered in chocolate goodies and the items in the case will make your mouth water. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Didn't realize we were driving about 20 minutes off of 91 but in hindsight it didn't feel like it. As noted above this was an early season foliage trip, and once we got off 91 the trees started to really show its colors. Lots of beautiful scenery along the way with lakes, farm land and old homes. As for Moose Scoops in general it is quite the ice cream place. Looks as if it is established in an old church. A ramp for accessibility which was very helpful for my girlfriend. Lots of ice cream flavors to pick from. I went with three scoops of "I Scream for Cake" in a waffle cone while the girl got one scoop of "Moose Tracks" in a waffle. Haven't had Birthday Cake in ages and I remember why, good in its own way but in moderation. Three scoops was too much for me lol. The girl enjoyed her Moose Tracks, I helped her finish it. Was a nice surprise for both of us with the chocolate kiss at the bottom of the cone. We both enjoyed ourselves and if you are looking for something off the beaten path this is a good spot to go to.

But you come here in part for three things: the maple syrup (nuff said), the view, and the Maple Creemees. We could call it soft serve but well, Vermont. The creemees are delish. Affordable and big they are perfect on a summer day, a fall, day or even a winter day. Then take it out and eat by the lake? Heavenly. Nice people. Well worth the stop.

As usual, I arrived with my clients, politely said hello and stated I was there to take photos by the Christmas trees. Christine (whom I had never met) said nothing about rules or purchase requirements and explicitly told me I could take photos. Afterward, my clients warmed up with their baby in the car and planned to cut a tree, but Christine assumed we weren't buying anything and escalated the situation for no reason. I left with my clients down the hill to take a few last shots and as I was getting into my car, Christine brought her husband Mike down in his truck to "scare me off". They flew past me, tried to block me from leaving the road, yelled at me to "never be seen on the property again," and accused me of "taking photos without buying anything" as if that were a crime. It was aggressive, threatening and completely unprofessional. This is a farm open to the public - visitors are NOT required to make a purchase just for stepping onto the property. If they have rules for photos, they can communicate them like adults instead of resorting to intimidation and theatrics. I won't be returning (for my own safety), and others should think twice before giving them business. If you do visit, apparently you'd better buy something immediately, since that seems to be their unspoken rule.

You can start off by taking brown bags or berry cartons at the entrance storefront. There are TONS of fields to explore: we explored fields of raspberries, elderberries, blueberries, and then you get to the apple orchards. There are SO many varieties of apples. I would make sure you have some good shoes because in some areas of the apple orchard, there are some steep inclines. If there is rain, it can also get slippery. There is also a HUGE pumpkin patch, flower fields that are available for picking, and a CORN MAZE - the latter is $6 entrance fee! Again, so much to do. Unfortunately I did not have time to experience the corn maze because it started raining by then. If I could make a suggestion, It would be nice for some of the trees to have a suspended net around the bottom of the tree (maybe this isn't optimal for weight purposes). But so many apples fall off the tree- or people drop them while picking. It seems a shame to go to waste, so would be cool if there were a way to catch them before hitting the ground and bruising/ resting in dirt. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. It was a ton of fun to visit the farm with so much to do, and delicious apples. PLUS Mac's Maple is also down the road so that was our next stop!

I emailed their landlord, which is the Hanover co-op and reported the issue. They said that it was the farmers market management who was responsible for maintaining the landscaping. The Norwich Farmers did not reimburse me or even respond to my emails with their insurance information. I was going to take them to court, but that would involve my insurance and I don't want my rates to go up. I used to be a customer for years as I live locally but due to their complete disregard for their customers, and horrible management I will never return. I can get what I need from the farms I buy from directly. If you value your car or drive an expensive car be aware.

The man behind the counter wasn't rude, but he wasn't pleasant either. He said very few words and proceeded to finish doing what he was busy with and picked out 6 jelly sticks with his ungloved hands. He then took my cash and made change with ungloved hands and filled the order of the people behind me with the same hands. I was going to leave a nice tip but I couldn't get past the no glove issue. I put the donuts in my car and dropped them in the garbage can at the mini mart. Sucks, I love good donuts.
