Menus and bread serving arrived. $4.80 per person. Oh well. We decided to share and we selected the white asparagus with a tomato and egg relish with a vinaigrette and an Order of Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and lingonberries. Our food arrived very quick. Both dishes quite good. Not the best we have experienced in Vienna and not the worst. - Wiener Schnitzel: best one of the week. It was thin as it should be and not greasy at all. Wish it had been cooked with a little seasoning. Salt and fresh lemon solved that problem. 4/5 - Potato Salad: excellent. Almost addictive. Loved the fresh mache and pumpkin seed oil on it. 5/5 - Cranberry Sauce: or as I call it lingonberry sauce. Average. Tasted like out of a jar. But good. 4/5 - White Asparagus: served with a tomato herb vinaigrette with chopped egg. Wish the asparagus had been served warm then topped with the vinaigrette. Would made the dish pop. Very good. 4/5 - Atmosphere: Outside was glorious. Area was spacious. 5/5 - Service: waiter was abrupt and would disappear for lengthy times. Must have been really busy inside. 3/5 - Value: somewhat overpriced. Think the mandatory $4.80 bread service per person put it over the top. I expected outstanding bread and got a very small serving of bread and a pad of butter with a couple of tablespoons of a herb mixture.

They sat us outside and provided great service. We were surprised how fast our food came out, and the steaks and sides were well prepared. The large space and indoor/outdoor seating allows them to accommodate a lot of people.

And, he made excellent recommendations. In America one would be skeptical of the upsell, but the difference in price was minimal, and he was 100% right. I had the ribeye steak, it was nicely cooked. Maybe a little more salt would have been ok. The sweetcorn is really for decoration. I ate it, but barely ok. The mashed potatoes really are amazing, get them. I had the delicious molten chocolate cake for dessert and it was the perfect finish to my meal. My pink gin spritz like cocktail was refreshing and the malbec was an excellent choice. Where could I find fault? The kitchen delivered my food almost as soon as I ordered. I was barely into my cocktail when my steak was presented. Eating out is a bit of a leisure activity, don't rush me along. Otherwise, very nicely done.

Such a fabulous dining experience start to finish. We were staying at the Ritz and popped down…read morewithout a reservation on a Sunday evening, but were seated rather promptly. Our server helped us select a more moderately priced Cabernet (which was much appreciated when we ordered a second bottle to enjoy with dessert and then back in our room afterward). We started with the burrata, also at his recommendation. I was a little skeptical, because I'm kind of a burrata snob. But oh. my. goodness. Just get it. You won't be disappointed. For steaks, we went with the petite filet and ribeye, tried a few sauces (I personally recommend the mushroom!) and split a few sides. The sides were solid, but the steaks stole the show. They were cooked perfectly to order and had great flavor. I'm arguably not the biggest cheesecake fan, but my husband loves it and, since Dstrikt is known for its cheesecake, we split a serving to cap the meal. The crust to cake ratio is high (which I prefer) and the cake itself is a little runnier than I'm used to, but man does it work. It was delicious and my husband was shocked (read: annoyed) when I polished off my half! Service was attentive throughout and really catered to our pace. I wish I could recall our servers name, because he knocked it out of the park with his quick wit and killer recommendations. No doubt that this was a five star experience. We will definitely be back, next time we are in town!

Your order is taken by the waitress for the starters, sides, drinks and dessert and the butcher takes the order for the steak. We opted for 300g of Austrian ribeye and 300g Austrian fillet both medium rare, with a starter of steak tartar and side of Viennese mushrooms. Once our orders were sent in, out came a warm bread with salted herby butter. Then another appetizer of mini onion tart and mini brisket sandwich. The tartar came out next, and it was so flavorful and not diced too finely which I appreciated. I could taste the subtle mustard notes and really enjoyed letting the flavors unfold as I ate slowly. Our steaks and mushroom dish came out next, and I did notice the filet was closer to a rare cook and the ribeye had a medium cook. I ate both with the flakey sea salt that was on the table. While both were good I would prefer the cook to be closer to medium rare. The mushroom dish was wetter than I expected, I tend to prefer mushrooms a bit drier as I prefer the drier texture. We were too full to order dessert but we were given a complementary hazelnut flavored macaroon before we left. Overall this is a beautiful restaurant with great service that would be great for a special occasion.
