However, when they have paintings, it always feels that the space sometimes lack/ not fulfill the space's potential. The works are way too spread out; a lot of empty space is immediately felt. The works are sometimes very new and interesting in perspective, but sometimes have pretty obvious themes or styles. It's very random per opening, which my peers and I always check when we are in the area.

As I said before, it's a beautiful giant of a building with tall windows, tons of light, the old vault doors leftover from its bank days, lots of marble, wood, and a fancy ceiling. This time I went to see Hank Willis Thomas, another Black artist known for his forceful, graceful sculpture work, which focuses on Black power, unity, equality, and beauty. You should know by now, 0 dollar entry fee for these astounding artists. Can't beat that.

Looks like each floor has been newly renovated , very refreshed ambiance. I enjoyed its season's feature exhibition ... a hundreds of colorful and pretty good quality Tiffany lamps on top floor. The history behind the company and its products presentation are magnificent. Another exhibit on this building that kept us interested is the gallery of the US Presidents and the Oval Office on third floor. I would highly recommend this museum for a visit if ever in the area.

Her work blends sari fabrics with found materials, reflecting Indo-Caribbean heritage. One piece evokes Bharatanatyam (Kathak)capturing a dancer "in between poses," bridging tradition and personal expression. It felt personal: as a Guyanese American, I thought of my great-aunt, who mastered this dance in the 1960s in Guyana, a path that brought her to NYC. NYC is home to the largest South Asian and Indian diaspora in the U.S. reflects this influence across everyday life. Also, explored the Tiffany's studio lamps. Thoroughly enjoyed this museum and look forward to visit in the future and also explore the cafe.

The space is beautiful but I understand they're rebuilding the space to be even better. It's our go-to place to see when we visit NYC. We've seen incredible pieces by Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat and Richard Prince (Prince and Basquiat paintings and photo are in my listed images for this gallery). We love this place.

As all of these galleries are for private consumption inventory changes. I love the artists that this gallery has chosen. The works are genius. It was my favorite of the 15 we viewed in April 2015. Many of the artists they have chosen have a simple complexity to them. There is such complexity in simple that the artist shines. I can't quite explain it. You really should try to go and see it. The art is likely quite expensive as with all the galleries in Chelsea. Viewing is free though.

My favorite thing in the Jonas Wood exhibition that's currently on view at Anton Kern is a gray dog…read moreat the bottom of a big painting--a schnauzer? not good with breeds here--that looked so funnily uneven and odd, not only because its head was cocked to one side, its eyes looking directly out of the painting at the viewer in that inquisitive, expectant way that dogs do--but also the way its face was painted was split in half, making its expression not just searching but also insane. Some dogs really have expressions like that! The split in the face was mainly caused by the way Wood paints--making strips of paint with ragged edges, as if he's dragging the brush downward in a very tense zig-zag, leaving these skinny tight tiretracks of paint. The dog is made of these stripes. In Wood's paintings lots of different things--animals, furniture, whatever--are made of these strips. But not everything is, so there is a variety of texture to his surfaces that I find appealing, and it nudges against the repetitive pleasure of the stripe patterns. Jonas Wood's paintings are mostly interiors, and when they're not they are the kind of paintings you'd expect to find in a normal home--a portrait of a pretty peacock, some flowers, a portrait of a couple--and he underscores the fact that he's making "paintings of paintings" by cleverly inserting them in his interiors. So in the one with the dog at the bottom, you can see the peacock painting (which hangs separately in the same gallery) IN that painting. There's a painting of a poker tournament, the one thing in the show that might be thought of as happening in a public space, but you can tell from lettering on it that it's a painting of a TV screen, so again the perspective is domestic. And the television studio where the poker game is being played is made up of the same stripes that the dog is. I wouldn't say Jonas Wood is a mind-blowing painter but I certainly enjoyed myself looking at his work.

Whatever artists are sourced for this business are truly untalented who copy all the worst ideas from the last 20 years and cover them in dripping graffiti. If you choose to spend money on one of these pieces and display it in your home you will reflect not only disgusting taste, but terrible judgement as well. An insult to 'art' all around.
