I went with a Bambino size (kid size) for 1.50 euros after sampling one flavor. I went with their pistachio flavor which was okay. The girl behind the counter was rude and kept rolling her eyes at us although we did not do anything wrong. She was very unfriendly. They didn't have many flavors to choose from and their gelato melted fast. There was also no place to sit and enjoy your treat. Since there are so many other places to get gelato, I would not recommend this place.

My friends liked their vanilla and peach. I admit there's better gelato elsewhere - even in and out of Italy. But sure, this is definitely the most popular spot in Como and near the water. We descended the stairs to find an attractive little pizza/gelato/bar joint. The barman told us that pizza was finished. My fiancees pouting, combined with other customers arriving, convinced him otherwise and he conceded to our wishes. Huzzah to the barman! The menu had a large variety of pizzas available, priced at between 6€ and 12€. Pricey compared to the 2-for-1 American dreck we are used to, but I don't see Papa Johns offering up speck, wild mushrooms, or buffalo mozzarella. We each ordered a different style and they were both very good, with thin crusts and just the right amount of toppings fired in a brick oven. Four pizzas for us and the other couple took maybe 15 minutes, which is great considering he built the pizzas from the dough up. We finished our meal with combo platters of cacao and nocciola gelato, a combination that tasted like Nutella. My guess is that they're only open weekends during the slow season. That is a shame, since they would have been mobbed during the week my convention was held in the Grand Hotel Imperiale right across the street.

The garden patio in back is cool and inviting, and nicely shielded from the drone of buses. The large combination dish of cacao and zabaglione gelatos that my fiancee and I shared was very good. Looking back with 20/20 hindsight I should have ordered my own dish in order to target the delicious looking cherry flavor. Probably a great place to bring unruly kids, since you can wrangle them all in the garden patio away from the disapproving eyes of stuffy waitstaff... whilst stoking them with more sugar...

I just wanted a glass of wine for about 10€ and they seemed a bit put out by that. Yes they had 40€ bottles, but I just felt like one glass. They said they would see if they had anything open. Approx. 120€ My meal-I cannot even recall, however the 3-way cooked crispy herbed chicken my husband ordered was the dish to get. Included roasted vegetables. I so preferred the taste of his!
