We were on a private boat tour with our great guide Luca when he recommended we stop in Lenno for gelato. We stopped at La Fabbrica del Gelato and it was truly out of this world. The servers were so kind to give us their best reccs, and I am glad we sought their advice. From the texture, to the natural flavors, I was blown away at how good it was. This is a 5/5 hidden gem in a place where you do not expect great cuisine, and it was surely the surprise of our trip.

I ordered the Nocciola (hazelnut) and pistachio gelati in a cone. It was absolutely wonderful and delicious. I'm glad to have tried my first authentic Italian gelato here! Although you can buy gelato straight from the window at the storefront, it took a few minutes before one of the workers noticed we were trying to buy gelato. From the outside, it looked like they had a bar and their website says they also serve pastries and brunch.
