If you are going southbound there are not too many places to eat. This coffee shop's location is convenient. The pies were good but not much of a selection. I ordered 'The Duke' burger ($25) which has an angus beef patty, bacon, onion rings, mushroom, cheese, BBQ sauce, salsa, salad and is served with fries. It was good but not amazing and I probably wouldn't order it again at that price. I saw the 'The Judge' go past and it was HUGE. The nachos were tasty and were an impressive size. We also ordered the brownie and ice cream sundae for dessert which were what you would expect. The quiz was a lot of fun and the staff were really friendly.

As others have mentioned, Mizzoni is in Ohakune and is a small truck trailer or shipping container of some sort. Totally wasn't expecting it to be so small, but the pizza there was really good! I ordered the veggie one they have with beets, carmelized onions, and watched my pizza being made down to the tossing of the dough! My best friend got a pepperoni pizza. Pepperoni is different in NZ than in the US (fyi Americans) The guy working there was super friendly and passionate about the town, the pizza company and was really easy to talk to and connect with. My buddy and I were the only ones there so by the end of our experience, I was ready for more! There are only a couple of outdoor tables close to the restaurant so I recommend taking this to go if it's cold outside. I was a bit on the cold side and it was early spring when I came here. Be sure to get a frequent shopper discount card if you don't have one. It's free and doesn't need to be activated online first. BTW the double chocolate chip muffins are fantastic.
