I have found that the longer I've worked with her, the more she learns about my voice and teaches me how to get the most out of it in a healthy way. I really want to support local music stores over big box retailers or online sellers, and as a…read morelocal, experienced musician I generally try to start local first. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Langlois Music Co was disappointing due to their outdated return policy. In today's market, where most reputable music retailers offer reasonable return or exchange options, their no refunds (or exchange) policy makes it difficult to justify purchasing gear here. I bought some speaker cables that turned out to not be an option for me. I hadn't even used them and they still wouldn't let me return or offer to exchange them or even store credit. Very odd. The staff was courteous, but policies matter, and this one ultimately pushes me away from advocating local in this case. I'm sharing this so other musicians are aware before making a purchase. I hope the store modernizes this policy in the future, because I'd prefer to support a local shop rather than a big box store or online retailer.
