Terrible experience. Brought my 2014 Dodge Durango in there to get a sub purchased and installed. It was expensive ($1400) which was reasonable being top of the line. Showed up on my only day off for an appointment I had made in advanced. They installed it in about 3 hours which was good. When it was ready they handed me my keys and I get in my truck and... *the sub only turned on when the volume was mid to high range...*my keyless entry was broken...*there was dirt and a mess in the trunk that wasn't there before...*all of my personal items were moved around...*my back trunk door handle was broken...*they wired it using a shortcut directly to my speakers instead of my head unit that way I couldn't control the sub which made the sound beyond terrible.***** So I brought it back in and the dude said he could drill a hole in my new dashboard for a knob to control the sub. I was already upset about everything, so I said heck no and demanded everything uninstalled and my money back. The owner then came out and was mad and preceded to yell at me demanding a reason why I wanted it uninstalled raising his voice in front of other customers, embarrassing me (one of his customers that just spent $1400 and got a bunch of stuff broken by his staff in a 2014 truck that had 8000 miles on it). I had never in my life been treated like that. So upon me telling him I'm going to have to get a lawyer and call the cops he went ahead and uninstalled everything but the wires and gave me $1100 out of $1400 back (which took 10 days to put back on my card) and I had to then go to the dealer on my own time and get the keyless entry and door handle fixed plus had to clean the dirt and mess they made. Never do I recommend anyone even my worst enemy to go to this place they call a business. Stay far away!!! read more

Very basic install, expensive an my truck smells so bad of cigarettes an BO, I almost threw up when I got in it, not an exaggeration either. I'm praying the smell goes away cause now I noticed it's started to cling to me. Fucking gross. read more

I went to soundworks because they are listed by JL as a "Signature" dealer. I have a brand new 2016 vehicle and wanted to get the speakers and amplifier upgraded. Also wanted to have it wired so that it was ready to drop in a subwoofer in the future as I didn't have the money to get the sub I wanted just yet. I get to their shop at 10 am sharp, as agreed. Asked Bill if it would be done by noon (he had listed 2 hours on the estimate). Bill said it would be. So I waited around, watched a little netflix on the in-store TV. Bill comes out to let me know that a worker had to go home for a family emergency so it would take just a little bit longer. Ok, I appreciate the heads up and I'm thinking 12:30 ish. About 12:00 I ask the guy upfront how things are coming, and he says, "your vehicle won't be done before 2:30 or 3:00." I ask to have Bill come out immediately because a "little bit longer" shouldn't be more than 2x the hours promised. Bill then says he should be done by 1:00 pm, but he can't install the wiring for the future amp/subwoofer by then. I say ok as I have to leave at 1:00 to make a meeting. So, I go for a little walk, come back just before 1:00 and I'm told they are just finishing putting the door panels back on. Well, long story short, 1 pm turns to 2 pm and that turns to 3 pm. I'll admit the speakers/amplifier sound good, but 5 hours to do a 2 hour job, and I don't even get the future wiring installed leaves me an unsatisfied customer. I wouldn't have bothered to post this rating, as the system does sound good, except for what happened next. In the past few days since the install, i've found at least 3 body clips that are missing and that I'll have to find replacements for. I've noticed both the upper door trim pieces in two of the doors have come loose in the last few days. Had another trim screw literally fall out of my rear door when I opened it. Then I found an "extra" lock washer under my seat...one of those leftover parts. Overall, this really ticks me off. Brand new vehicle entrusted to these guys, take 5 hours instead of the 2 promised, and its put back together like amateurs. So much for being a "Signature" JL dealer! read more
