After the Long Beach Birthing Center closed unexpectedly, my husband immediately began searching everywhere for a midwife who could take over our birth care. From the very beginning, we knew we did not want a hospital birth--both because of the high costs and the increased rate of C-sections. Finding the right midwife felt urgent and incredibly important, especially since this was my first pregnancy. That's when we found Laura. From the first conversation, my husband and Laura connected very well, and after meeting her in person, we knew she was the right choice. Laura made me feel truly welcomed, cared for, heard, and supported--something that meant everything to me as a first-time mom. At every appointment, Laura took the time to explain how our baby was doing, confirmed that she was positioned correctly, and walked us through what to expect at each stage. I moved to Redondo Beach at 30 weeks pregnant, searching for a midwife for a VBAC after two C-sections. Despite warnings, I hired Laura because she had experienced a VBA2C herself, which made me feel confident in her abilities. I paid $7,000 before 37 weeks, but from the start, red flags appeared. Laura frequently overshared personal issues- venting about her husband mistreating her and why recent clients were transferred to the hospital. She described one transfer as a mother "refusing to get on her hands and knees despite being in pain." It felt like more of her clients were being transferred than successfully giving birth at her center. Additionally, she and her children were constantly sick, making me worry about exposure as a pregnant mom with toddlers. As my due date approached, she had me sign paperwork with business names from other midwives, clearly copied and pasted, which felt sloppy and unprofessional. When my water broke, she gave me swabs that were supposed to turn bright blue if it was amniotic fluid. Even though I knew my water had broken, the test initially didn't change color, so Laura dismissed it, insisting I had urinated on myself. It took days for a proper swab to confirm it, delaying care and increasing my risk of infection. When I expressed concern, she casually asked if I "wanted to go to the hospital," then told me that legally she'd have to transfer me after three days- completely disregarding the fact that I had been telling her about my water breaking all along. At one of my appointments, she introduced another midwife, Amy, which made me uncomfortable because Laura had previously vented to me about how Amy "wouldn't stop touching her" during her own labor despite being asked not to. She even called Amy the B-word and said Amy walked out on her during labor. Knowing this, it felt extremely unprofessional that she brought her in to assist with my care. Later, Laura accused me of avoiding check-ups, which was untrue and upsetting. I lived three minutes from the birthing center and was always willing to come in. Despite her personal struggles, I had even offered to support her. During labor, Laura's birth assistant, Haika, was the only good part of my experience. She was kind, gentle, and truly passionate about birth work. If you're looking for a midwife, I highly recommend skipping Laura and going straight to Haika. When Haika was present, I was progressing well, reaching 7 cm. But when Laura took over so Haika could rest, everything changed. Her cervical exams were painful, rough, and intrusive. Her energy was intimidating, and I stopped progressing. Eventually, I had to transfer to the hospital, and honestly, I was relieved to leave. At the hospital, I received an epidural, which allowed me to relax enough to fully dilate, but during my stay, I was also sexually harassed by a doctor who is now under investigation at Cedars. After birth, I discovered that Laura had taken several photos of my private areas without my consent. I asked her to delete them, and while she agreed, she never did so in front of me. She also failed to complete my postpartum visits, using her constant illnesses as an excuse, but never reached out to reschedule or check on me or my newborn. Seven months later, she sent me a Mother's Day text, but by then, I had nothing more to say--she never followed through on the care I paid for. It took me a year to write this, but it needs to be shared. My experience was the opposite of the glowing reviews I read before hiring her. Every time she gets a negative review, a friend posts a five-star one, but those of us who've actually worked with her know the truth. I've since connected with other former clients who had similar experiences. If you're searching for a midwife, please reconsider working with Laura. My first birth was in hospital, traumatic experience. I knew for my second I wanted a home birth. I search near my area for a midwife and came across this company. Laura & Tasha (at the time. Tasha no longer works here) my second child was with southbay. They helped me with conception, analyze labs, monitored pregnancy and delivered our healthy boy. Such a wonderful experience. My only complaint, was how much LAURA would complain about personal matters during my visits. Tasha would have to wheel her back in. I reach out a 2nd time. I spoke to LAURA over text. Shared my devastating news of a miscarriage. She was kind enough to text back. She was however very vague on what to expect, or do with a miscarriage. Understandably, I wasn't in her care. I mentioned that we would like to try for baby #4 and asked what I should do and how long to wait. I also mentioned I no longer live in the area but are willing to make the drive to receive her services. She recommended I get labs immediately and said she would analyze them. When I emailed her my labs, she never responded. So resorted to texting her to confirmed she received my labs. THIS IS WHERE SHE GETS RUDE (I will include screenshots of our conversation) she replied to my message by saying "she is sick. She needs space." I thanked her, wished her well and waited. Meanwhile I went on her IG and checked emails to see if she shared news of her illness and perhaps I missed it. Nothing was there. 10 DAYS LATER I reached out over text to ask her if she would still be interested in working with us or if we should find someone new? She proceeded to tell me not to text her on her cell and wondered if our distance would be ok. I reminded her that we would be interested in working with her no matter the distance. She then proceded to tell me she has pneumonia, still healing and that she's not analyzing labs for free. Mind you, I know these things aren't free. free was not an expectation! I've worked with them in the past. Her sudden personality shift could be due to her illness but communication is still necessary. How I am to know she is sick and then get upset for not knowing. End result... she declined her services to us for asking her to communicate. We personally own a business, there has been times when we were out of commission and could not attend to daily responsibilities. Many times we would post on social media or send out emails to inform folks weren't able to answer them in a timely manner. My appointments with Laura at South Bay Birth were the highlight of my pregnancy honestly! The office is such a cute and welcoming environment and there is a huge library of books to check out. I always felt well-informed, cared for, and I loved the feeling of being comfortable enough to chat about anything and everything. I was provided with plentiful resources, from local lactation consultants to birthing classes that were tailored to my individual needs. Tasha was my doula in 2018 when I had just moved across the country from NY-LA to start an intensive academic program while 6 months pregnant - a very exciting but also stressful and hectic time. I met with a few different doulas before meeting Tasha but knew almost immediately that she was special, and I'm so glad we contracted her services. Aside from being warm and grounding, she is incredibly knowledgeable about all things pregnancy, birth, and baby-related, organized, dependable and professional. We had a few pre-birth meetings and many text message exchanges. Then on the evening I started to go into labor, Tasha drove up to West LA to be with me and keep me calm while my contractions increased in intensity. We walked around my complex together, talking about our lives and anything that would take my mind off the contractions. She drove home after a while and then a few hours later, around 2am I think, my husband and I drove to the hospital, and it turned out I was pretty dilated so they checked me in. Tasha arrived soon after, bringing electric candles to make some relaxing lighting instead of the fluorescent hospital lights, as well as essential oils, healthy snacks and coconut water. She was wonderful throughout the labor which started out okay but turned difficult with the pushing - she talked the midwives and doctor out of a cesarian and eventually I had a healthy vaginal birth. My husband was so glad to have her there, she was firm and in charge but not overly intrusive in the process. Although I had a great Obgyn & good experience delivering my first born at a hospital, I wish I switched to South Bay Birth a lot sooner. The prenatal, birth & post natal care were extraordinary. I was on the 3rd trimester of my second pregnancy when I decided I wanted a midwife & a water birth. More than a water birth, I simply did not want to go to a hospital (even though this was pre Covid-19). From the moment we met Tasha we were impressed by her knowledge, professionalism & genuine care, which made convincing my husband to go along with my plan a little easier. ;) The transition to home visits was extremely convenient & made even better & special that Tasha & Beth were so patient & loving that our curious toddler could join in & hear her little brother's heart beat. 1st thing they accept medical Man where do I begin..... Covid hit and I was pregnant ok no problem but by the end it was becoming a reality that all my fears of the hospital would come true. I sat and prayed and had a friend refer me to Laura and Tasha mind you I was exactly 36weeks when I found them. They must've felt the spirit because I got a call back and they were willing to help me deliver!! in my mind I had envisioned an AA midwife but that didn't matter when I met these beautiful ladies!! They took care of me, helped me raise my super low levels the drs didn't care or even noticed about and were the best advocates I could have ever asked for! I don't think I can write in words how appreciative I am of the two amazing midwives. I met them back in July when I was a few months pregnant. I'm an RN, so when I first got pregnant, I was set on having a natural birth in a hospital. I met the OB and just felt like a cog in a wheel and they already had made a couple of comments saying I needed to lower my expectations about having a natural birth. I started looking up birth centers and found South Bay Birth through word of mouth because they had just opened up. I instantly felt like it was the right place and they were the right midwives to deliver my baby. Being in the medical field, I asked about different scenarios that could arrise during pregnancy and birth, meds they carried, procedures they do. I felt great about it all. All of the appointments are an hour long (if not longer if you have something going on and they have the time). They not only check vitals and baby at every appointment, but they see how you are emotionally, ask about your nutrition, sleep, exercise, stress level, etc. It's so holistic. I think that if I didn't have their support and reinforcement, my pregnancy wouldn't have gone so smoothly. They have such an amazing knowledge of herbs and supplements for what seems like every pregnancy related ailment. I never resorted to pharmaceuticals. My labor was so so long. I went in to the birth center twice because of a stalled labor. I felt so supported by them the entire time. I ended up transfering to Little Company due to clinical exhaustion (80 hrs in). Laura was able to come with me and I was so glad. She advocated and educated us when we were too tired to think. She also helped us get started off strong with breastfeeding. They came to the house the day we were discharged as well and caught my daughter's tongue tie, which we got fixed the next day. Whew that was long. They are amazing. Tasha is simply amazing and I can't recommend her services enough! She's been both my doula and LC and I couldn't imagine working with anyone else. When I was diagnosed with preeclampsia in my third trimester I knew I would feel more comfortable with a doula who had a medical background. Enter Tasha, who made me feel supported both medically and emotionally. What could have been a really traumatic birth was instead one where I felt safe and secure in the knowledge that she'd be helping myself, husband, and daughter make it through. She stayed with us for the induction process and even after, and helped advocate for me to see my baby in the NICU (I was on magnesium so the hospital initially didn't want me to go there as I was in a weakened state from the medicine). She checked in on us after the birth too, visiting us first at the NICU and then at home and texting to check in on us too. My husband and I never felt like her visits were rushed. With Tasha, you feel like it's not a job but a calling, and that she truly cares about the families she works with. She also provided invaluable lactation support, helping us transition from bottle to breast after the NICU, and helped me avoid mastitis by giving me tips on how to get rid of stubborn clogs (2 words. Epsom salt.) As a midwife, she has extensive medical knowledge and was able to recommend natural supplements to support my postpartum recovery, and I've found that everything she suggests really works! I don't even know how to begin...my husband and I fell in love with Laura and Tasha when we came in for our first appointment. They are extremely knowledgeable about birth and their philosophy resonated with us. We are both Doctors of Chiropractic and knew we wanted a home birth but we wanted to find the best team to help us get to that goal. I had my first birth in a traditional hospital setting with an epidural and WITHOUT a doula. It was a bad experience, from beginning to end to say the least, so I knew for my second birth I wanted a Doula to be by my side to offset the impersonal treatment and environment at the hospital. I found Tasha on yelp and interviewed her along with a couple other Doulas. Once I experienced the immensely personal and detailed care that Tasha provides, I decided to go in the complete opposite direction from my first birth. I proceeded to hire Tasha to be my midwife for a home water birth instead of just my Doula. Nothing compares to having the intimate and personal service of her expertise in your home, without time constraints, without formalities or commutes. With every appointment, she was able to guide me toward growing a healthy baby. I received a plethora of information beyond that of doctor given care. Not only did Tasha provide me with amazing prenatal care, she and her associate midwife were my heroines on the actual day our baby girl arrived. On the day I went into labor (9 hours total), she came immediately upon notifying her of my first contraction. While the pain of going it old school was excruciating to put it lightly, Tasha created the nurturing environment that was not present in my hospital birth. Somehow I got through to the end. Tasha was able to give me confidence through every phase, by telling me that it was moving along and by helping me move physically into different positions to help offset the pain as much as possible. Tasha's expertise really shined through in the pushing phase and in the minutes that my baby finally descended out. She had trouble taking her first breaths, and Tasha immediately breathed for her (infant cpr) leaving the umbilical chord in tact and us connected until she came to and didn't need it anymore. My daughter was what they call a mermaid baby (when your water never breaks). I had a strong sac and a very big and healthy baby, and I know this was a direct result of Tasha's guidance throughout my pregnancy. After all of that, you would think her job was over, but her goodness keeps coming. Her postnatal care was something not at all given in the hospital, and it made such a difference in my overall postpartum well being. I felt so incredibly cared for, acknowledged, encouraged, and valued as a human being after such a powerful and humbling experience. These feelings played a huge part in helping me bond with my second daughter in ways that I was unable to do so with my first. The comprehensive experience of pregnancy, labor and recovery that I was able to have because of Tasha is priceless. I'm still feeling the highs of being able to feel so close and connected to my baby, and I know my baby feels the same, because she is incredibly calm and happy and easygoing. To have these feelings instead of feeling sad and numb towards her as I did with my first child is mind blowing. If I have a third baby, I hope that Tasha doesn't get too popular that there would be a possibility that she wouldn't be able to be my Doula or Midwife again. read more

From my first phone consultation, they were both fully present at all of our appointments. I felt heard, safe and comforted at all times. Tasha is amazing. During my pregnancy, she was always available and full of helpful information and kind words. This was our first birth, and my husband's initial question of, "what's a doula and why do we need one?" quickly turned into "thank God for Tasha!" We'd initially planned to give birth at a birth center, but my little dude took his time and decided to stay in residence another 2 weeks past his due date. Our plan drastically changed, and Tasha helped us roll with the punches. I was induced, no epidural, and my labor lasted 36 hours, culminating with a vacuum delivery. Tasha was there through it all, and I honestly don't think I could have done it without her. Her compassion and sensitivity were amazing, and she kept me and my husband in a good mental and emotional place during a difficult time. She also worked well with the nurses, expertly being our advocate, while making them feel like we were all on the same team. My recovery was long with some unforeseen complications, and breastfeeding was tough. Tasha went out of her way to be there for me, both on the phone and in person, to make sure I got the support I needed. She really went the extra mile, not out of obligation, but because that's the type of person she is. She's an absolute angel. Bottom line... if you're looking for a midwife or doula, hire Tasha. The midwives at SBB are the smartest ladies I've met. They have answers and reasons for all your worries and curiosities. If I could sum it up: Tasha is amazing. She was an integral part of our birth experience, from pregnancy through postpartum - always there when we needed her with a wealth of knowledge, and warm, motherly guidance. We could go to her with any questions (pre and post-natal) and she'd respond not only promptly, but with great detail that was immensely helpful - and trust me, we had a lot of questions! She was as much a resource for my husband as she was for me, especially in those first few weeks post-birth. We truly felt cared for and trusted her throughout the whole process. When our daughter's birth ended up taking a complete 180 from our plan, Tasha helped us talk through our options so we could make the best decision for our family. Her support was vital and we can't imagine what it would have been like without her. After the birth, she made sure we were taken care of in the hospital, even running to the local co-op to bring back snacks, tea and homeopathic remedies. She has an easy going nature that instantly makes you feel like you've known her all your life. She felt like an extension of our family - plus she's a lot of fun to spend time with! When my wife and I found out we were going to have a baby, she came to me and said she wanted to hire a doula. My immediate reaction was "a what?" I'm not sure I fully understood the breadth of support a doula could provide a pair of first time parents like us, until Tasha invited us to spend a Saturday afternoon with her and a small handful of her other clients. These parents were more than just Tasha's clients. They had become her friends. She was practically part of their families. I knew at that moment (if I hadn't already), that my wife and I were going to have a great experience with her. We are from the east coast and came to LA so that I could attend graduate school. To be honest, I wasn't sure that I needed a doula for my birth since I was planning to have an epidural from the outset, but I was talked into it from some friends. Tasha was recommended to me by a local midwife and we hit it off right away. Because my labor progressed quickly, we didn't even have much time to labor at the house like we had planned and instead went straight to the hospital. Here is where you think "well, having a doula REALLY wasn't needed then", right? That's what I was initialy thinking too. Wrong! Tasha helped me cope with contractions with various tools in her toolbox and helped me decide when to get the epidural. What I didn't know is that the process of getting an epidural is not only absolutely excruciating, you have to hold completely still during your contractions which are so intense you're fighting back the vomit. Needless to say, any of my family members would have likely passed out at the sight of it all. Tasha's support during that ordeal alone was worth having her there. But wait, there's more! Tasha stayed with me the entire time and gave my husband and mom directions so they could feel/be helpful. She also flipped me over every hour and used a peanut ball to help ensure that my labor was progressing despite the epidural. She asked the nurses questions to help me decide on the course of treatment and when the final hour came of pushing she was an amazing coach. My experience with Tasha and Laura from South Bay Birth was amazing! I will be forever grateful that they were there to make sure my first birth was so beautiful and trauma free! I've always been into doing things the natural way. From being a vegan for ten years, gardening and composting, getting rid of harsh chemicals in the house and so on. But when it came to child birth I was always terrified of doing it naturally. The idea of going through labor without medical intervention for pain management seemed crazy. So when my husband and I confirmed we were pregnant I knew, without a doubt, that I would have a hospital birth. I picked an OBGYN that I really liked and started my pregnancy journey the conventional way. Everything was going just fine with my care and I was perfectly content. As I entered my third trimester I was all set. I had my hospital all picked out, my birth plan was finalized and I was ready to finish the final stretch of my pregnancy. Then at 33 weeks COVID hit. There were so many fears I had. The biggest being the possibility of being alone in the hospital and exposing my baby and myself to this new virus. That's when I realized I needed to figure out plan B. A close friend of mine who just had a baby gave me Tasha's email. From her picture on her Gmail to the first phone conversation we had, everything about her felt comfortable and right. As I began care with South Bay Birth, I continued my regular appointments with my OBGYN. The first obvious advantage of care with midwives was that I could easily contact them with any questions or concerns and get an immediate response. If I noticed something on a Friday night that concerned me I could get advice right then, I didn't have to wait until Monday. After about two visits with Tasha and Laura I quickly began to realize my weekly checks with them were WAY more thorough and informative than my appointments with my OBGYN. At this point, my doctor just checked the heartbeat of the baby and her staff collected usual weight, blood pressure, and height data at each visit. When Tasha and Laura came to visit they'd check all of that. But they also did full belly checks to determine the baby's size and position. They'd ask me about how I was feeling that week, what my diet was like, and so much more. I never felt rushed and any question I had was always thoroughly answered. It wasn't long before I terminated my care with my OBGYN. I knew I was in perfectly capable and experienced hands. In the few weeks I worked with South Bay Birth Tasha and Laura began to feel like super knowledgeable family members caring for me in my time of need. As the big day apprached, they were constantly in contact with me. It was Mother's Day and I'm sure their families wanted them home, but instead they both came checking in on me throughout the day because we knew labor would be eminent. Finally, late that night I went into active labor. They both rushed over as soon as my husband said we were ready for them to come. They made the whole process a beautiful experience. They kept me comfortable, and encouraged me to do what felt right for me and the baby. They gave my husband the opportunity to be involved in a way that we never could've dreamed of in a hospital setting. Once my son was born their post natal care was outstanding. They came back so many times to check on me and baby. After this experience, having a home birth or birthing at their center will definitely be my very first choice. The care I received from South Bay Birth, in my opinion, was by far superior to the care I got from my doctor. I gave birth to my first baby in Jan 2023. We started to see Laura since the very beginning of my prenatal journey. Her office is so beautiful, inviting and overall professional. Every appointment was exciting for me! It never felt like some standard routine visit...instead it was like I was seeing my friends and they were there comforting, encouraging and empowering me throughout my pregnancy. I never felt uncomfortable or rushed when asking my questions. When it came down to my birth Laura and her team were so on top of things. I can't even put it into words how much it meant to have someone to help me birth my baby who I just whole heartily trusted. My labor was LONG and they gave it their all every single minute and then after! The care that I got postpartum is truly something that is so rare. They stayed at my house for hours after to make sure it was cleaned up but most importantly that me and baby were doing good. Then the weeks after I continued to feel supported, heard and encouraged throughout those challenging weeks of becoming a new mom. I reflect all the time on that experience and think about how blessed we are to have Laura serving in the South Bay. She made my journey into motherhood something so special. Tasha and Laura are amazing! Even though I ended up having to be transferred to the hospital for my birth the help and knowledge they provided me before and after my birth still transformed my experience and made me such a better first time mom. I had to be transferred due to breech presentation and hypertension but they did everything in their power to keep my blood pressure low to get me to full term and helped to try to flip the baby from breech. My doctor wanted to do a c-section early and provided no help in lowering my blood pressure or changing his position and instead used fear tactics which just made me not want to see them and raised my blood pressure. Such a different experience with Tasha and Laura. They were always available to help me navigate what to do next and even referred me to expert doctors who tried to flip my baby. The care team I had was truly amazing, all from their help and I went from being terrified of a c-section with doctors I didn't trust to finding one from them who I trusted and still was able to have an amazing birth even if it wasn't the one I had envisioned with them. Even now 4 months later I am still able to contact them and they provide help right away with various postpartum issues I have. I for sure would have given up on breastfeeding and would have had a pre-term delivery if it wasn't for them. I also loved how my husband was able to attend every prenatal appt. during covid unlike at my doctors visits. They have become friends and changed my family's life so much for the better! read more

I can't say enough nice things about Tasha. During our first visit, I knew immediately we were a good fit, and boy was I right. We met prior to the birth of my son in 2016 and she's helped be a guiding light throughout my journey into motherhood and beyond. Our experience with Tasha was amazing. She was recommended to us by another doula that was out of town around the time I was due. As a first time mom, I had no idea what was ahead of me. Tasha was there through every step of the way. My labor was really long but Tasha came to my house at 1AM to help guide me through the pain and was great support. She is very patient and has a passion for what she does. She is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She is very informative and does not judge you for any decision you make. I was almost induced because the hospital said I was not dilating fast enough and Tasha told my husband and I that we don't HAVE to do what they say. She helped us with our rights and gave us the pros and cons to all the options we had. My husband and I do not know what we would do without Tasha. She was always quick to respond to questions before and after birth. When we were at the hospital she was there to guide us through birth and helped our newborn get his first latch. She made sure the nurses and doctors were clear of what was in my birth plan And even helped us take pictures. Tasha also helped us with the birth of our second child. First time parents here. First, thank you so so much to Tasha and Laura for giving us the chance to experience a home birth and introducing us to what it means to be a midwife. We came to South Bay Birth in the midst of a pandemic, anxious and nervous about having our first kid and not knowing what would happen next. Immediately I felt such a relief, they welcomed us with open arms and and were able to reassure us that this was the right choice. Tasha and Laura, are a dynamic duo. Both very knowledgeable women, with nurturing spirits. They were able to answer any questions I had, about the baby, or myself. They were able to reassure me about any concerns I had. They were also able to help with the mental and emotional stress, they empowered me as a woman and new mom. Going from an OB to Tasha and Laura's prenatal care, was like day and night. No Dr, had actually touched my belly and felt around for my baby and actually talked to my baby before, that to me made the experience so much more intimate. The home postpartum visits were probably my favorite, and the most crucial, it's just nice to have that extra support, advice, and I was able to text then at anytime I was freaking out about something. Tasha and Laura, were there for me, every step of the way, even in labor (4 days) The birth center is so clean, the birth tub is huge, and the "cave" is essential. I could not be happier Tasha & Laura delivered my baby girl. This was my third baby. My first 2 were successful hospital births. As I got to know my doula and learn about hypnobirthing throughout my pregnancy, I realized I wanted to do a home birth. Given the pandemic and the fact that my husband felt he could trust Tasha, I was able to convince my husband as well. When I first met Tasha, I immediately knew she was the midwife for us. She was very confident in her medical knowledge. She was not foofy--she said she was not willing to risk my or my child's health and well being--if medications were necessary, she would use it--not herbs or something. This was comforting as I am a healthcare provider and my husband a physician. In addition, we grilled her with tons of medical emergency questions. She answered them all openly and confidently. Ultimately we felt confident in her and our decision. I started care with her around week 35 and it was great. All my appointments were at my home which was great as I have 2 older children. What was amazing was if I had any concerns, I could text Tasha and she would immediately help me. Also if I was concerned, she would come over immediately to check on me and baby. She never made me feel bad. During the labor, Tasha and Laura were super prepared with all the necessary supplies and they were supporting me and my body well. They used tricks to help me with the pain as well as their encouragement. After the labor, they even cleaned all the soiled linens, loaded the laundry and cleaned up the bathroom. So sweet! Ultimately, I had a falling out with my doula and ended up delivering with Tasha, Laura and my husband. It was perfect. Thank you so much! read more

Tasha assisted us with the birth of our first son last July. When I first met her, I instantly felt a connection. I was looking for a knowledgeable and energetic person to assist me during that one special day. She did so much more. She helped us before, during and after the birth, always available to give a good advice. Being a busy working mother-to-be she helped me with planning the birth and even took the time to write the birth plan for me. Working with her was great, Tasha really guided both my husband and I through all the steps and possible scenarios, and we never felt rushed - she literally met with us for hours at a time before birth. The day I went into labor she joined us home and was instrumental in choosing the right moment to go to the hospital. Although nothing that day went as planned (does it ever??), we felt safe and confident by having her there with us. She really went above and beyond to make the experience positive, from bringing ice chips to massaging my legs and help me meditate and relax. She even took pictures for us since we somehow managed to leave our camera home! It was such an amazing day, an exceptionally gratifying experience thanks to Tasha's help. I can not say enough wonderful things about our experience with Tasha! She sat with me & massaged me for hours and hours! She applied counter pressure during the contractions, reminded me to breathe, brought essential oils & tea light candles to make the room more relaxing. She even brought her rebozo which I loved! She sat on my wet bathroom floor with me as I was laboring in the tub for hours! She counted for me while I was pushing and motivated me by telling me how much hair my little man had. She took pictures of the birth & even came by after my son was born to show me how to use the pump! Then she was always available for me when I texted or called with my millions of new mama questions! Day or night, even weekends she was there with tons of helpful information and suggestions! We laughed & cried together and I am forever grateful to her for being there during my son's journey into this world! read more
