I went in for my usual 60 units of Botox for frown lines, forehead, and crow's feet. After the main treatment, the nurse mentioned she had "leftover product" and asked where I wanted it. I wasn't sure, so she suggested a lip flip and DAO injections. Two weeks later, I called for a touch-up because I didn't see any results on my forehead. When I returned, I was told I didn't actually receive the full dose initially, which explains why it didn't work, and I ended up being charged extra to add more. It's very disappointing to experience such a lack of professionalism and a clear unwillingness to fix the issue. The "leftover" product vs. missing dose situation feels misleading, and I expected the full treatment I paid for. I left feeling frustrated and let down. read more

I've been a happy client here for about 2 - 2.5 years. Once I reached that "certain age" where a little help and maintenance is needed, I took advantage of a special they were having on botox. The space is very clean, staff are friendly and welcoming, and most importantly, they listen to what you're trying to improve. I moved away from Whittier to TX and then came back to work in San Diego. The 224 mile round trip drive from San Diego is well worth knowing I will leave happy with my results. So this is another experience had with these people. The response from Sean B. to my review seems disingenuous and suspicious. He says to reach out directly to work out a resolution but leaves no contact information. When calling the main numbers no one ever answers the phone. Probably for good reason. What is going on there? Your guess is as good as mine. I have already left voicemail messages which no one bothers to return as previously mentioned. Sean B seemed to be answering most of the new inquiries on their Yelp page, so I thought that might be a way to reach him. However, when I tried asking a question in this app under the 'question' format to let him know I was trying to reach out, they made all effort necessary to flag my question to get it removed, but not one finger to reach out to me -the person they owe money to; the person they wronged. How? I purchased 2 services. The first one was botched. And they never paid me back for the second one that was never performed! I guess they thought it was free money. Seems Mr Sean B. response is in line with the performance I saw at their office. All lip service, nothing to show. Don't be fooled, this place uses unsupervised assistants to perform their work which is how I got hurt. They will put a smile on, and tell you anything. But they won't help you, only hurt you. Purchased a Botox Groupon in the first place, I was 'advised' by the physician to take more units when I arrived and was informed that even though I can't purchase another Groupon (which is not consistent with the Groupon website, the website said I could purchase the deal one more time) I could still get the same price for the same product as on Groupon. Ok so I agreed not to purchase another Groupon but paid them directly. The receptionist changed their story afterwards and I was charged doubled the original price. I paid whatsoever just be aware this kind of Deception Also, the staff being very careless about the sanitizing before the injection. They didn't wipe the full injection face area . Purchased an under arm laser treatment where it must be paid in full for all sessions. The session takes less than 10 or 5 minutes. Sessions were fine results were ok. However, not great customer experience. This Spa has a strict 24hr policy where they will not work with you even if you call 22 hours before the appointment you will still lose out on your already paid for session that's takes them less than 5 minutes to complete. Even if you explained that you have a family emergency and out of state. NOT WORTH the grief on getting a reschedule on something that was already paid for on a spa that is already overpriced compared to other laser hair removal spas. @SeanB Thank you for your response. However, you should know I have not once had a "no show". I had one instance where I got a flat tire an hour before my appointment and I notified the office this was kindly waived. Todays incident, I called 22 hours before my appointment and your employee was rude stating that multiple exceptions had been done before which is incorrect. Nor did I ever curse nor did I threat. This review is for Morpheus 8 I pre-paid for 3 Morpheus 8 sessions. For my first appointment I was greeted and walked to a treatment room to apply numbing cream. Waited for the 30min prior to be taken to another room where I waited another 20 min After waiting, I asked the young lady if she was going to perform the procedure and she acknowledged she was. I asked if she was a clinician to which she said no. She was an AESTHETICIAN. She asked if I was ok to proceed and was clearly not. As I have never had a NON-CLINICAL person perform this procedure on me. She respectfully understood and told me to reschedule with a nurse for another day. This was ridiculous!! After waiting with numbing cream you want me to reschedule!!! As a clinician myself. I do not believe and support that an aesthetician is the appropriate person to perform this procedure on any patient. There are many factors when using this laser and a non licensed person has not gone to school to fully learn and understand anatomy. A few hours of a course on how to use this machine is not adequate. This should be performed by a trained RN, NP, PA or MD. The cost of this treatment is pricey($1k/ session) as one is paying for the skilled Licensed Professional's time and expertise on using such lasers. Ladies I encourage you to educate yourself and refer to an aesthetician' when needing a facial. In the end I had to fuss with the front office to demand and obtain a refund. I spoke with Sally who offered me complimentary treatments to which i declined. Given the lack of professionalism with the front office staff and lack of transparency of staff performing the procedure overall it's safe to assume this is not a business I intend to return to. read more

I called to make an appointment after purchasing a Groupon deal, they told me the first appointment will have to be a consultation because they need to see if I'm a good candidate. The whole process took less than 5 mins but I was waiting there for 10 mins and drove for 20 mins, all of that just to sign some paperwork, which could've been done through email. Other than that, the customer service here is super disappointing. Stephany didn't even bother to sit down to have a conversation with me, she went through everything so quickly like she's got somewhere to be. My first actual appointment is next week, hopefully the session goes smoothly to make up the disappointing "consultation". Will update after few sessions! :) read more

I found South Bay Med Spa on Groupon and they had an amazing deal going on for small area (which I chose lower face). It was also convenient as I work literally down the street! They were also telling me that they had a deal going on for underarms (which was extra but wanted to try so I paid the extra). In total I have 6 sessions for both areas. I already did my first appointment a few weeks ago and the technician was super sweet, very informative, and also made sure I was comfortable! (I will edit later with her name as it is escaping me at the moment). There was however, a small wait in the beginning and they were backed up, but apologized and offered water to us 3 women in the waiting room as it was an extremely hot day, but the room was cooled with the AC. I go back for my 2nd session on May 13 and I am excited as I have seen almost immediate results on my lower face and armpits! Overall my experience with Med Spa was pleasant as the staffs were polite and funny, but the procedure in itself was not useful. I paid for full legs and arms hair removal laser and after two months of finishing my treatments (tx) my hair grew as long and thick as before the treatment. I would recommend/suggest to do the treatment with other RNs rather than Vanessa - she goes fast and only does one round of laser. You may see better results. I only saw results with my under arms and half face. Do not refer before trearments are done. I recommended a friend in good faith and also didn't get any discounts or free treatments. Just had my first (Brazilian) laser hair appointment today and I am so happy! First, the gals in the front of the office are so friendly and knowledgeable. I was so nervous, being this is my first time ever getting laser. Vanessa was so nice and explained everything to me. She made me feel so comfortable and we talked through the entire process which made me forget all my nervousness! It was super quick about 15 minutes. I encourage anyone to give this place a try. I have extreme hair growth I did medium area which is lower face area cheek down , so chin , and upper lip. I have noticed a difference just with the first session and I am looking forward to coming here to maintain and get more services . I've done it all to remove hair such as waxing all types, the No No, epilators of all types (electronic tweezers), threading, you name it iIve done it. the only thing I haven't done was shaving because I have so much hair that I would have a shadow. So my point is that I noticed the difference 1st session this is incredible I'm on day three after and it's amazing. Oh and I know some of you are like if you stayed consistent with the threading no that's the problem I did and I still would have to go back in very two to three days max. I got so tired of stressing to get back to my threader my hair just grew too much and too fast. The building is off painter in Whittier with its own small parking in the back. The office itself is impressively spotless with a small seating area and a nice clean restroom. The staff is always sparking discussion and offering beverages to me and others when I come in. I was provided treatment by Nicole who walked me through the laser process and took care of me in a timely fashion. I had many questions concerning hyperpigmentation from the laser, and she remained very patient with me every step of the way.
