Scam Alert! I…read morescheduled an initial consultation with this doctor to go over my MRI results and discuss non-surgical options to repair the slap tear on my shoulder. The consultation consisted of the doctor looking at the MRI results I provided him on his computer, some discussion of physical therapy treatments, an ultrasound to confirm the MRI findings and what he said was a complimentary cortisone shot. One month later I receive a bill for $1,145.00. Whaaaaaaaaat?!?! Outrageous. I call his assistant who tells me, "Well can you pay half that?" I said no. She then says "How about $300?". Um, what kind of racket are they running over there? I never hear back and then a week later I get an email demanding I pay the full balance by the 1st of the month. I replied that I would be taking this up with my insurance company. My insurance company told me that I was not responsible for those exaggerated prices and that the maximum they can bill $476.00. Well, they just went ahead and charged the full balance to my credit card. This is a complete and total scam. Beware.

He also works cooperatively with other disciplines (chiros, physical therapists, osteopathic doctors, surgeons, orthos,) to achieve the best result. He is well known and well respected in the community, for good reason. He is always attending seminars and staying abreast of the latest information to remain on the vanguard of the practice. I suffered a vicious injury to the pelvic region that has been very difficult to get over and requires a multifaceted approach. It is an ongoing process, but with Dr. Irizarry's depth of knowledge, availability, concern, passion, creative treatments, and willingness to work with my surgeon, physical therapists, chiropractors, osteopathic physicians and pain management doctor, I am improving and on my way back.

My appointment was at 9am(first appointment) with Dr. Juan Carlos Zarza, got at the office at 8:45am (first one in the office), got called inside a room and told the doctor was coming a few minutes and I ended up waiting 40 min. This was my second and last time visiting this office in 3 years, and it has always been this way.
