    Dave Stewart - Campus Pastor
    Arpie S.

We found this place on the internet (possibly Yelp) but almost did not make it there. My husband and I had decided it was time to do something different than what we had been doing (long story). On our way there we passed by another church on Magnolia Blvd. referred to (by locals) as "The W" and thought about stopping there, but for whatever reason, we kept driving and made it to South Hills Burbank. South Hills Burbank is a warm, welcoming group of believers. The staff is super nice. The facility is clean and the whole experience was positive. They are family friendly. Dave, the campus pastor is friendly but somewhat reserved. The rest of the staff is equally friendly and dedicated. Overall, this is a nice facility, with loving people, who reach out to their community in obedience to God. I recommend this place to anyone within driving distance. Love God, Love Others, Love Life. -- Arpie

Amazing Talented artist who praise the Lord!

Moved from DTLA to North Hollywood. Attended Hillsong but couldn't find a church in the valley until I came across this place in August. Let me just say, I haven't skipped a service since. I look forward to Sunday's at 8:30am to praise the Lord. Pastor Dave is Incredibly an amazing pastor and human being along with the staff. This place is so WELCOMING: a perfect place for imperfect people. I was lost before I came here. No judgement! Stop by

This church is a real beautiful place. I know that at a certain time in my life I was really struggling within myself. A friend of mine who attends this church decided to invite me, and I felt that presence within that told me I needed to go. I find myself looking forward to listening to Pastor Dave speak and I look forward to going home and reading more into what he had talked about during church. I take my daughter with me and she loves the KidNation area for the 2-5 year olds. She always leaves with tons of art, a smile on her face, and a lot to tell me about that she learned that day. This church has been blessed with amazing youth pastors and people of many musical talents that lead in singing worship at the beginning of every service. I look forward to strengthening my relationship with God with this church, it is certainly a place that does not discriminate. Everyone is allowed.

I have been to many churches my whole life and never felt as welcomed & comfortable as I do at this church. I was a bit worried about attending a small church but let me tell you, this place may be small but it's huge with love. You don't feel judged or ignored at South Hills. I came to check it out with a friend because she didn't want to attend alone and I ended staying and even volunteering on my first day. Everyone is just so kind and they make you feel like family without even knowing you or where you come from. I highly recommend this God loving place.

My husband and I visited South Hills Burbank on a Sunday in late 2015 and have been attending ever since! We married in 2014 and went through many highs and lows, we knew we needed something, someone, bigger than ourselves. The messages at SHB are so practical, it is easy to relate and apply. We are so thankful to have found a non judging and caring community who love God, others, and life so passionately! It didn't take long before we plugged into growth groups and serving! FYI: the tech team and band are exceptional! Greeters, ushers and staff serving coffee and donuts, yes coffee and donuts (you can take into the sanctuary) are so warm, friendly and genuinely hospitable!

Unwelcoming church, tried to say hi to the congregation but very exclusive, no diversity.

Calvary Chapel Burbank - Pastor Tim preaching to Word on Good Friday.

We live in society filled with abundance of choices when it comes to churches. Honestly, it could…read morebe a bit overwhelming and scary. You see, we are living in times of uncertainty and deception. Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:4, "Watch out that no one deceives you." The Bible warns us of the possibility of this happening. Before I set out on my journey, I prayed for God's guidance. I asked Him to direct me to a church with a strong Biblical foundation. Well, God answered my prayers. It has been a year since I started going to Calvary Chapel Burbank (CCB). Pastor Tim is truly a man of God. His wife, Laura, is the example of Proverbs 31:10-31. And, let me tell you, Pastor Tim teaches right out of the Bible one chapter at a time. This has strengthened my growth, increased my knowledge, and in turn, has allowed me to question the validity of those who teach God's Word. The Bible does tell us, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1 CSB. The only way to test the spirits is by knowing God's Word. If you got this far, I'd like to peak your interest with a couple of my favorites from Pastor Tim's teachings. One was on Matthew 1:1-17 and another on Philemon. Yes, Philemon, a one chapter book in the New Testament which was unfamiliar to me. Matthew, chapter 1 which is a bibliography. Although every chapter in God's Word is important, how do you make its importance so intriguing? Well, somehow, Pastor Tim managed it, both times. I challenge you to go onto the CCB website, click on archives, click on Sundays, and watch for yourself. I also welcome you to come out to service on Sundays. There's an 830 am service for early birds like me and a 10:30 am service if you're not.

Amazing church, great youth group and love the women's Bible study. Everyone is welcoming and…read moreloving. Pastor Tim's preaching is great.
