Avoid This Laundromat at All Costs! I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this laundromat. First off, it's ridiculously overpriced. They charged me $11 to wash a large load and almost $5 for a regular-sized load. Then, when it came time to dry, I discovered that the dryers charged $0.50 for just 4 minutes! And dryer sheets at the cost of .25 each. After spending nearly $10 on a small load of laundry, NONE of the dryers worked. Everything stayed completely wet, even after multiple attempts. It was incredibly frustrating. The real kicker was the staff. The attendant let us use broken machines that weren't clearly marked as out of order. Later, a woman told my friend that the dryers never really work well, but we didn't find out until it was too late. When I informed the attendant about the issue, she couldn't have been more indifferent. I even asked for a refund or at least some bags to take my laundry elsewhere, but she refused. It gets worse--when the manager showed up, she was rude and condescending. She started yelling at my elderly friend (who owns property in town) without any reason. I had to step in and tell her to stop yelling at him. Then, she threatened to call the police on us. The police arrived, and it was clear we hadn't done anything wrong, but it was just a sad display of unprofessionalism. It's never a good practice to yell at your customers, especially in front of other customers. In the end, I walked out with 15 bags of wet laundry and had to dry it at home. This place is clearly taking advantage of hardworking people and does NOT care about customer service. I strongly advise staying away from this laundromat. I hope the business can somehow turn things around and actually treat their customers with respect. Until then, I'll be taking my laundry business elsewhere. The cost is fine to wash the drying cost is a bit outrageous. $.50 for the smaller dryers to start and then you only get 4min then you gotta added more and more cause the dryers don't dry! I shouldn't pay for 30min light load and I'm adding even more monies to dry! Clean your lint traps! Not a place I'll come to again! Should be paying $80 for a few loads cause nothing drys! read more

We have been faithful customers for years, and consider the owner as a good friend. While the prices are significantly higher than others, but to us it is worth it to have such awesome customer service, no matter who is behind the counter. Everything is clean and usually all of the machines work. I think we have experienced an extremely wet load of clothes, and I would have to admit I most likely overloaded the machines. That was handled with grace and humor, no matter which employee was there . They paid to reset the machine to do an extra long spin. overall, 5 stars!! read more

We had been traveling (camping) for almost 2 weeks. We were going to be in Chahalis for a few days so laundry was a must do. This laundromat was close and convenient. The staff was very friendly. Tiki was very helpful and showed us how to use the machines since it had been a long time since we had washed outside of our home. The facilities were very clean and the machines looked like they were fairly new. Unlike some of the facilities at the campsites. Will definitely go back next time we are traveling and in Chehalis. Since my home washing machine stopped working I have been using South Market Laundry. Usually Ryan is on shift when I arrive, but not always, and I always have a great experience. It is clean and staff is helpful as well as attentive. Today, however I felt horrible and my blood was curdling over a conversation that I had with Ryan's daughter. Upon stepping to the counter to get change, she called me hun, which I feel is disrespectful and condescending since I am decades older than she, so I politely asked her not to call me hun again. Later, I asked if there was a cost for spray and wash. I felt she had heard me (as we were approximately 3 feet apart and it was relatively quiet), yet I was asked to repeat myself several times. I even pantomimed spraying my shirt stain as I was answering her a third time. I believe she was giving me a hard time because I had asked not to be called hun. She then asked me, "What is that?" I explained I needed to treat a stain that I forgot to treat at home." She then replied, "Oh, we use Awesome for that and there is no charge." I said, "Okay, thank you." After grabbing the Awesome I laughed and jokingly said, "Working in a laundromat you think you would know what spray and wash is." She got angry and told me I was being rude. I said, "No more rude than you calling me hun or pretending not to hear me. And I call things like I see them. You should know what 'spray and wash' is if you work in a laundromat." She became argumentative and said, "WHAT? You're a CNA and YOU don't call people hun?" As I was putting the first capful of soap in the machine, I said, "No I do not as it is not a dignified way to address someone, especially if they are older than you." Before I could finish making this statement she accused me of being rude again. Then she said, "If you are going to speak to me this way you can go elsewhere." I replied as I started the machine, "I am a regular, this is the closest place to my house, my money and soap are in the machine. I am not going elsewhere." Again before I could finish speaking she said, "No, you can go elsewhere. I will reimburse you and you can go elsewhere." I asked her several times to call Ryan. After all this was a communication issue and not an issue of rudeness on my part. After she walked behind the counter I left. Though, at this point my blood was curdling. I have never been treated so badly here or anywhere else!!! And for what?! Stating my preference in a polite way and for speaking the truth about a laundry term!!! Being called rude by someone who was rude to me is ironic and comical. But to be asked to leave for stating a personal preference and a fact, trying to make light of a situation where I felt I was being heard but made to repeat myself, is frustrating, especially when I had already paid and added my soap to the machine. I hope this comment of mine is used as a teaching moment in the art of customer service. 1. All people should be treated with respect. "Hun" is not respectful when talking with anyone. 2. Know your tools / terms for the job you are preforming. 3. Do not take your anger and / or frustration out on the customer or your co-workers. 4. Learn to accept help / criticism constructively by leaving your personal feelings out of it. read more

I decided to go to this laundromat because I thought the sign was hilarious and I'm so glad I did. Brian was super helpful since it was my first time I had no idea what to do. He was kind and funny and genuinely wanted to help. All of the machines worked great. I had no problems at all. I really enjoyed Brian's funny personality and kindness imade the experience very enjoyable since we all know doing laundry sucks lol. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Very rude staff. And they do not know their laws during coronavirus as people with health problems are not required to wear a mask. Was told very rude like that I had to leave if I couldn't wear one. Shabby but moderately clean. Multiple machines out of service and one washing machine I was using did not cycle properly; clothes only damp and no soap was used. I have always dropped my bedspreads, comforters and quilts off to have them cleaned and went back a few days later to pick them up. I made homemade quilts for my grandkids for Christmas. In Nov. we dropped the first one by and went back 2 days later and picked it up. In Dec. we took the next one in. We dropped it off on a Thursday. We went back Saturday to get it. They could not find it. We assumed it had just been put in wrong place and told them we would come back Monday when the owner Ryan was there. Monday Ryan called us and wanted to know if we had picked it up. We said no. He then told us he had bad news " It had been stolen" We asked him to look around and make sure it had not been misplaced. He told us they had looked everywhere. He then said he would do whatever it took to make it right. He said he knew that it was a homemade quilt for my granddaughter. We called back the next day to see if he had decided what to do. He informed me that it was worth 15.00!! I started to cry and hung up the phone. The batting itself was over 30.00 + the material, my time. After I thought about it I called back and asked who he was insured by. He told me Duncan and Duncan. I called Olympia, WA and stated to the insurance company that I wanted to put a claim in against the laundry company. 2 days later Ryan called just before 8am and wanted to settle this as quickly as possible. He had a 1000.00 deductible. My oh my what a change of attitude once he knew that. All of a sudden he wanted to settle. We told him we would settle for 150.00. And if needed he could wait until after Christmas to pay it as he has kids and it is Christmas. But he insisted that he would pay it now. End of story. not quite. I was told that Ryan is telling everyone in town that I had put the quilt myself in to wash and left. NOT TRUE we left it with him to be washed and dried.
