Despite my request and despite clearly needing health precautions, he refused to wear a mask. Keep in mind that during an eye exam, he would be breathing on me from mere inches away. For someone with a semi-medical degree to ignore the science so blatantly and put his own patients at risk is inexcusabl, immoral, and unprofessional. He's a disgrace to the term 'doctor.' Fortunately the other optometrist, Dr. Frannsem, cheerfully wore a mask. Tamara, the woman who helped select frames with me was perfectly willing to put on a mask. If I could rate her separately, it would be five stars! She obviously cares about the patients, and was enormously helpful in finding exactly the right frames for me. Bottom line: if you can't go to another optometrist and have to go to Gregory Optical, make sure you make your appointment with Dr. Frannsem. Even if you don't care about your health-care provider masking up, obviously Carter is in it for the money and not for his the health of the patients.

4 months ago: Could not give my wife a price of her eyeglasses beforehand other than i guess what…read moreyou could call an estimate, but not really, of "its not going to be 200$ or anything like that dont worry" so we get the call a week later that her eyeglasses have arrived, one pair mind you, and the bill was over 500$ before insurance and 195ish after.... holy gdamn rip off! And now my wife cannot use her insurance again for another year for glasses or contacts because they cannot be returned and the insurance apparently cannot deny the claim, basicaly stole our money, We will not be coming back again! Update as of may 10th 2018 they are refuseing to write a prescription for the brand of contacts that my wife would like because we were not happy with our service and are not buying them through them! Absolutely unacceptable and borederline ILLEGAL!
