First of all, the office staff, from receptionists to admissions to social worker were wonderful…read more My wife's first 2 weeks were great. Things got shady after that with the RNs and CNAs. My wife was there for wound care, and their attitude toward that matter were lacking to say it nicely. The wound just below her right buttock was to be packed and covered 100% of the time. The packing, and covering came off when a CNA changed her brief, and I was told "They'll take care of it during the next changing". Nope! Was to be packed and covered 100% of the time. Another time I was there for 5 hours and her brief wasn't checked or changed. When they did change the brief there was no covering over the wound. I brought this to the attention of the nurse in charge. Obviously it wasn't addressed very well because it happened again. Another instance, the wound covering was coming off. The CNA told me she'd let the nurse know, but at 3 p.m. shift change that idiot, and the nurse were headed for the door. I let night shift know, and it was still several hours before it was handled. They were also using a cream on the wound that would kill live and dead tissue while there was absolutely NO dead tissue. After consulting a REAL RN, it seems as if Chatham Health and Rehab were trying to create issues to make for a longer stay. Craig, an RN, was even putting that cream inside a clean, and healing wound. My wife was also on "requires total assist" for self care. Her teeth weren't taken care of , and her hair ended up a huge tangled, matted mess. If you have loved ones at this facility, please fully check on them. If you are considering this place for a loved one, find a different place. Also, one of the Nurse Supervisors, Jay, was an inconsiderate prick over the wound care issues I brought up. That meathead has no business dealing with patients or their families. Chatham Health and Comedy Club because everything is a friggin a joke.

Not deserving of even one star. My dad was a resident at this facility for several months and at…read morefirst received great care but then began to have staffing changes and that is when everything changed for the worse. My dad has congestive heart failure and began gaining 1,2,3 pounds a day which was fluid. I called the nurse and was told they would contact the doctor. I waited two days and he continued to gain weight and I called again and was told the same thing. Two more days passed and he continued to gain weight and I called again and asked the director of nursing to call me. Another two days passed and nothing so I went to the center and was told to just call the nurses station with my concerns. Every time I called the nurses station I got an answering machine, left messages but still no return calls. By this time my dads legs had swollen with so much fluid he could no longer walk and had to be in a wheelchair. He also began to get serious leg ulcers that were draining because of all the pressure from the fluid. I then went to the centers website to file an official complaint. 24 hours later still no response. I then called my dads cardiologist myself and they wanted to see him immediately. I called the center and was told they needed 5 days to set up transportation. My dads doctor office even called the center but they would not budge. My dad continued to gain several pounds of fluid a day and began to have severe breathing issues. I met him a his doctors office and the transport provided for him was an hour late even picking him up. The doctor sent my dad straight to the hospital where he spent the next 7 days and lost almost 20 pounds of fluid. Upon arrival at the hospital my dad had also developed a severe rash on his bottom and had several open leg ulcers which were not even treated at Chatham. When released from the hospital my dad went to another Saber facility. He has received excellent care and their communication is amazing on a regular basis. I then went to pick his items from Chatham. Several of his items were and still are missing. I reported this to the director only to be given one poor excuse after another. One of the items missing is a hand painted picture our preacher did for my dad that holds a lot of value to us. This facility does have some wonderful people who truly care but in all my dealings with the director I was treated rudely, poorly but most important my dad suffered needlessly because of the directors lack of communication and follow through. I have texts, emails, phone logs, copies of complaints and doctors records. I was given every excuse under the sun but these people we put our trust in to care for our loved ones and they let my dad down and he was not the only patient this happened to. I have filed official complaints. Someone should be held accountable.
