Everything here is pretty much walking distance. The book store was just re-located to the other end from her dorm. It's a little farther now but you get used to the walk eventually. Students have their own parking structure where you got to pass through a guard shack first to get in. Right below that is the field, very nice and modern. They have a nice cafeteria. They also have a laundromat in the basement and a convenient store that sells pretty much everything the students need. From her dorm room on a clear day you can see Mt. Rainier and pretty much everything. I am so glad I had the opportunity to checkout the school my daughter's attending. I feel safe for her in knowing that transportation getting around is easy with so many different options. I recommend this school for any student attending college.

We were mostly in the JMB, Jerry M. Brockey Student Center and some of the surrounding classrooms. Its not the easiest to find and not the most labeled campus I've been to but if you ask around, people will point you in the general direction. Super diverse campus and because of that, you'll see and feel the culture here. What's kinda cool about this place is that they have a wine academy, a garden center, and an up and coming Automotive Technology program where they are working on electric and hybrid vehicle trainings.

This review for GRCC is on booking a meeting room for an outside business. Booking the room was…read moreeasy via a phone call and filling out a form. I got the time slot we wanted for an all-day meeting. I worked with Pam Dally, and she was great. When we arrived to the room, the guest login and password along with the phone extension were written on the whiteboard for us for the desktop we were using for the presentation. I had asked for an easel which wasn't there, but after asking at the front desk, one was brought up right away. The room was clean. GRCC doesn't set up the tables and chairs for you, but it was easy for us to do that ourselves for the small group we had. When we came back from lunch, I asked security to unlock the door for us, and he was happy to do so. He was a friendly guy who chatted me on the way there. The place was deserted on a Friday. I don't know if that is because there was a break in the semester or what. It was very quiet, which was perfect for us. We had one student bang on the door in the middle of our meeting asking to use the pencil sharpener, which wasn't a big deal. The only other disturbance all day was someone's car with the bass cranked up so loud it was shaking the wall on the third story for about two minutes. There is a big parking lot on the west side of Kent Station, next to GRCC which makes parking easier if the garage is full. There isn't a cafe or any vending machines anywhere that we could find so bring food or go out to eat. The bathrooms were well kept.

I understand certain teachers teach differently just as some students learn differently. The only reason I give it a 3 star is bc they tend to get political and push negativity about certain political parties! It's pretty awkward and uncomfortable when they get upset at a student for their political beliefs. Should only be focused on the study at hand, not education based on which party is best and hinting otherwise pushing you towards their personal beliefs... unless of course your taking political science and such.

It is a CHRISTIAN school that submits to Jesus and does not conform. At one point he whispered in my ear "You could've told me to Fuck off with the offer I gave you". After he kicked me off the team, he told me the only way for you to be on the team is as a film analyzer, I would watch games and give information. Probably the most disrespectful thing someone could ask a serious athlete. The problem at NU is that as a Christian school there is no form of accountability with staff. There is a thought that a Christian isn't capable of atrocities, but as we have seen time and time again on the news. Disguising themselves with the religion to still have ill intentions and be overcome by human nature like Gary McIntosh. The most devoted Christians are sometimes the biggest devils; pride is the devil. I have brought this to the president's attention, and I was told by Dr. Castleberry that my accusations weren't credible and told me to rather place the blame on myself. The men's program hasn't had a successful year in all the time Gary has been there, no accountability. A former teammate told me that Gary spoke about not caring about winning. NAIA is a competitive league with many players seeking to become professional, do not go to NU if you want to have an athletic career. Gary allowed my teammates to tell me to "go fuck yourself" and even when they said it directly in front of him, Gary took action once by sitting him out for about 5 minutes. Coach Titus was also a witness to many of these harassments during spring season and regular season. I openly expressed to Gary my thoughts on the season prior and how I wanted to Transfer to a different program, I don't think my honesty sat well with him. While he was giving me phone calls praising how I was doing with the team, he suddenly in the middle of practice got into my face and yelled "GET OFF OF MY FIELD" after I hadn't moved into a certain position. Before he yelled, I told him " I thought I was in a good position" does that warrant punishment for Gary to turn orange like a red peach and yell while water falls of saliva come out of his mouth? Ultimately that was my last practice as I waited three weeks in "Probation" for him to come up with an answer whether I would remain on the team or not. In those three weeks the men's soccer team were throwing house parties while I sat depressed in my room just wanting to play. Days before the dropout deadline Gary wasn't responding to me, I had to get Vice President Rick involved. Well, I didn't drop out in time, so I am also 7,000 dollars in debt, debt that was sent to collections. I tried appealing this even when I have emails proving my intent to drop out before Sept. 28th and proving Gary was not in cahoots' with me. Vice-president Rick and President Castleberry denied my request without any investigation. After all I experienced with NU, I still followed the men's and women's team. Never missing a home game for either team, or even traveling to Oregon on my own to support the women's team during their playoff run. Rick was also in attendance at every home game; he never approached me after everything that had happened. I was an outcast at a Christian school, let that sink in. NU did get me closer to God, but not in the way I expected.

One glaring flaw, however: for an institution founded upon the principles of sustainability, progressivity, and diversity, the menu-planning for the monthly weekend retreats on Bainbridge are a joke if you don't eat meat: $80 a day for a meager ration of oats and fruit and salads? Who's not smelling the shade-grown, fair-trade organic coffee that's brewing? If you find out, please let me know.
