I paid another Driving school for 5 lessons and My son had a bad experience where he learned nothing , So I contacted South Shore Driving School and He was Instructed by a very Professional experienced Teacher named Bandula On his first lesson with Bandula he learned more then learned in the five lessons from the previous school. Bandula was very patient and professional, I am very pleased . He was taught parking and K turns along with proper turning skills and I felt comfortable with him Driving after just two lessons . What I really like about his Instructor was he contacted me with The progress of my son's lesson and how he is doing and what he needs to practice. After a few lessons he was ready for the Roadtest . And of course he passed on the first try. I would definitely recommend South Shore Driving School . There prices are very reasonable and they don't try to make you pay for outrageous Driving packages that are not necessary. I would like to thank them and there Instructor. Bandula . I had a great experience with this driving school as a young adult with anxiety learning how to drive. Phil was my instructor and he was very patient, kind, calm, honest and helpful with every lesson. He's done this for a long time, he knows what he's doing. He scheduled a great location for me to take my road test in a quiet area and always gave me reassurance. He has great tricks and methods of learning all the skills and techniques which helped me park perfectly almost every time! I really appreciate all he did for me in the three months I took lessons. He gave me as many lessons as I needed and didn't try to screw me out of money or anything. I also loved driving in only the SUV's, the Nissan Rogue, felt like a safe car that was comfortable, even for someone small like me. He taught me techniques how to drive safely, make K-turns and especially with Parallel parking as I was having problems on how to fix the car. Prior to taking lessons at South Shore Driving School, I struggled with driving and definitely wouldn't have passed the road test. Luckily, Bandula is a great instructor. Conveniently, he would pick me up for each lesson, and patiently teach me how to scan and maneuver the road. I struggled quite a bit with parallel parking. Instructor noticed this and we specifically focused on it for a few lessons. His step by step instructions for parking were extremely easy to understand and made parking simple. The day of the road test I was picked up early and given a refresher lesson. Needless to say, I passed the road test, and am grateful for his help. I recently experienced car trouble in a busy intersection on Hylan Blvd. and Guyon Ave. My battery died and the car wouldn't start. I was right on the corner of a busy intersection. It was both dangerous and disruptive to traffic. One of your instructors, Jerry, an older gentleman with a heart of gold came to the rescue. He pulled over took jumper cables from his own trunk, and proceeded to give me a much needed jump. It allowed me to move the car from a dangerous location and get to a mechanic for a much needed service. He was quick to assist and refused to accept any form of compensation for his trouble. He is truly a good samaritan and a fine gentleman. Kudos to your company for employing a person of such character and compassion. read more

I took a chance and called Shore Island Driving School and spoke directly to the owner Phil. What a great experience! Not only did he arrange availability for my road test, he also was able to give me a lesson before my test.
