We travelled in a party of 4. Got to terminal 9:30am, was on a bus leaving at 10am. P456 per person (no seniors in our group). It wasn't that busy on a Wed. They asked if we had a minor/student, but there was no discount, so why ask? The station itself could have been more clean and inviting, but all we wanted was a safe, cost-efficient ride to the province. Overall, ride was smooth. I took an hour nap. A/C was fine, was able to put in 3 pieces of luggage in the cargo area. We arrived in Olongapo in 3 hours, then we had another hour to hit San Marcelino. Driving staff were professional, no-fuss. Would recommend if you are on a budget and have the patience. Victory Liner dropped us off steps away from my mom's house, right off the highway. The system worked fine for us. Would do it again if the ride is this smooth. Perfectly good option for most if you don't want to spend on taxis and unpredictable (or overpriced) personal drivers. Plus you don't have to deal with Manila traffic on your own, let the professionals at VL do it!

Was informed that you had to change the e-voucher to a ticket first, so I went in line. Only two tellers were working despite there being a lot of people inside the office. The line was long and I was seen at 8PM. Was told to inform the bus driver so I ran there, but when I got there they said they'd already given my seat to a chance passenger. I checked my watch, it was 8:01 PM. One minute lang. This means they'd started filling up that bus with chance passengers before 8PM. When their buses are late or delayed, passengers don't even get any percent of their money back, not even an explanation. There isn't even a grace period for passengers, not even 5 minutes. They moved me to a much later bus, and they wouldn't even give me a refund for the ticket difference, since I had reserved a more expensive ticket. Don't book your tickets online anymore, they won't hold it even for 5 minutes. There should be a grace period for passengers just as there is for your drivers and buses.

Oh, did I mention I was standing while scrolling through my Facebook feed? Yep, I had stand the whole time. Good thing the Wi-Fi was there to distract me. It's not really the bus line's fault, I think. Early morning trips (5:00 to 7:00) from Laguna (the bus comes all the way from Sta. Cruz, actually, before it passes through Los Banos) really tend to get packed, as it's filled with passengers who are off to work or school in Manila. Yes, there are people among us who patiently endure the long travel every day so they can come home to their family after-school or after-work. Living a short jeep ride away from Buendia, where one of their terminals is located, DLTB has become my go-to bus for my regular trips to Los Banos (where my sister and I studied and where I used to teach). The bus is clean, the drivers and conductors friendly, and the fare is affordable (Php 99). Their buses are relatively new compared to other buses plying the same route. And more importantly, there have been no accidents involving them in the news so far, so I'm quite comfortable during my trips and not stressing out over whether I'd make it to my destination in one piece or not.

Greenstar may have yet to offer Wi-Fi on board (unlike DLTB), at least as off last year when I last took their bus, but when it comes to convenience and safety, they are still a viable choice. They've carried me to and from Los Banos for years now, and I haven't experienced any major inconvenience or accident on my trips. Their buses can get really cold, by the way, which is a blessing on sweltering hot days. But if, like me, you don't like the cold that much, bring a jacket and bundle up!

Well, true enough, if you have a car though. But for common commuters, it won't be as easy as that since most inter-provincial terminals are commonly found in Cubao, which is way up north! Thankfully, however, the south has its own gateway to go further south, beyond the borders of Manila and towards an entirely different province. Conveniently, you can find this, the Greenstar busline, at Gil Puyat, along with other terminals of different routes. What makes Greenstar special? Well, for starters, its interiors don't necessarily give away the fact about it's former life of being a bus in Japan. Good air-conditioning, comfortable and reclinable seats, music pumping at a reasonable volume; never mind the traffic in Calamba, I'd have no problems relaxing in my seat.

Bar none…read more Green Frog is a bus service that goes from SM Mall of Asia in Pasay to Market Market in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, that passes through Buendia and Kalayaan. And it's absolutely fantastic. Not only is it the coldest bus you're probably ever going to be in (the bus was as packed as a train during rush hour at around 6:30 and it was still cold), but it is also hybrid and zero emission, which means that all of its buses are friendly to the environment. I'm not exactly an hardcore environment junkie, but the fact that there's a public transport service that's willing to spend a little more to run hybrid buses and keep it at a low price point at around P10 to P40 depending on how far you're going is a very good thing about the future of public transport here. Not only is it clean environmentally but it's also clean inside. Everything looks shiny white and feels regularly cleaned. The conductors (and some of the drivers, too!) are women, so it generally feels a little safer for girls who ride the service. Green Frog hopefully represents where our transportation services are headed. And I hope to see more similar services in the future.

Really…read more If there weren't shuttles transporting us back and forth to Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa and Cavite, we would all be taking several buses, jeeps, trikes, cabs--It's difficult, inconvenient, time-consuming and may not even be affordable. You probably won't see us ever again. These shuttles that travel to and from Makati make commuting so much more convenient. Fares are reasonably priced and relatively cheap, if you consider the time and energy you'll be saving, as well as convenience. There are a lot of specific routes to certain neighborhoods and other central locations, and from the drop off points for some people their homes are just a walk or a trike away. On a good time of the day (not rush hour) it takes me just around 15-20 minutes to arrive Makati and vice versa, thanks to Skyway. Queues can get really long during rush hour (as expected), or when there's a sudden downpour, as Metro Manila traffic does not tolerate rain too well. This station is newly built for more than a year or so already. It used to be so cramped at that station underneath the Ayala MRT (it was HELL), but this station is more spacious and even has a nice selection of food kiosks, vending machines, and a clean toilet.

This place is a five minute walk from Ayala MRT station, and is near Greenbelt, SM Makati, Landmark and Glorietta. In North, we don't have much shuttle services or I am not really familiar that's why when I learned that my boyfriend rides here to his place, I got excited and we scheduled one day for me to experience being in a shuttle. From the Terminal, we just waited a few minutes until the van makes his way on the street. In less than thirty minutes, we reached parañaque without hassle. The thing is, when it reaches 6pm, this place gets really crowded and the lines are crazy. You can opt to eat your dinner first while waiting because there are food stalls and vending machine available in the place. I checked their toilet and it's still new and clean.

Bus terminal is small as well. It is easy to find though. Located along EDSA and behind the hotel chain SOGO. For a long bus ride, I am sure everybody prefers comfort and convenience. The seats can be reclined, wide enough, and have plenty of leg room. They offer De Luxe (PHP 730), Executive (PHP 840), and Premiere (PHP 870). Both have restrooms inside except the latter does have a monitor in front of the seat with charging ports. The travel time takes 5 to 6 hours depending on the traffic.

It does tend to be extra cold but it's nothing a shawl wouldn't fix; and because the units are well-maintained, you can actually close the one above you.

This is one of the more known and reliable bus lines that I won't hesitate riding. I've ridden…read morePhiltranco for a trip to Daet with the end destination as Calaguas, and it was quite fast. My travel companions and I have ridden another bus line going to Daet and our experience was that Philtranco is faster, though still with the assurance of safety. I've always ridden the basic and air-conditioned bus, though sometimes I ride on the one with a restroom if that's the only available one for my trip. I noticed also that Philtranco is relatively cheap compared with some other established bus lines. I haven't tried riding a bus to Mindanao yet (yes, they have trips to Mindanao, too!), though I suppose it must be safe and pleasant enough. I was a bit surprised when I first came to Philtranco's main terminal in Pasay. It's well-lit, spacious, and quite clean. It's far better than most of the other bus terminals I've encountered. And, there are certainly many seats! So far, I haven't encountered the terminal yet so crowded that many are standing - there seems to be enough seats even on Friday nights, though I can't really claim the same during Holy Week as I haven't traveled with Philtranco yet during that time.

The company has hundreds of buses that cater to all sorts of travelers, from the budget-conscious to the business tourist. Their ordinary open-window buses charge the most affordable fares (Manila to Naga fare from PHP 500.00). They also have 45-seater standard air-conditioned buses (Manila to Naga fare from PHP 750.00) with relatively comfortable reclining seats. The Gold Service is their luxury class (Manila to Naga fare from PHP 800.00), perfect for group tourists bound for Bicol. Philtranco has day and night trip schedules. What I like about this company is that their buses have limited stopovers - no more than two - in the entire trip to Bicol.
