He said the basement would be finished and ready in 5 weeks. He worked only 6 hours on week 1. He asked me to give him a chance to make it right after I complained about his no-shows and said he'd still finish within the 5 weeks as I was expecting guests from out of state. He then showed up for 12 hours total over 2 days on week 2. I asked to end the agreement and for him to bill me just for the hours he worked because I was unhappy with his work ethic. He said yes multiple times but then absconded with my money. He also failed to respond to the Better Business Bureau complaint that I filed.

We saw the previous review regarding Landcore, but since it was the only negative one we found,…read morewent with our gut and hired Mark and his team. It was by far the BEST decision! When hiring a contractor, there are three things we highly regard: value, communication and commitment. The first company we hired to do our backyard renovation did not live up to those expectations. At the point of determining who next to hire, Mark was a clear stand-out. His communication was on target, he had the insight to project not just what looked good but what was functional as well, and his estimate was clear and distinct. We've been thrown a lot of curve balls while completing our project, but we tried to approach each obstacle knowing that this is a business agreement, and Mark was truly responsive and professional every step of the way. We are extremely pleased with the value provided for the budget we had and would, without a doubt, recommend his team for your future project(s). Landcore was truly the best contractor we have ever dealt with, and this is the 12th home we've owned.

Landcore Landscape, and Mark in particular, charges a premium price, promises a lot, under…read moredelivers, and does not stand by his work. We had another, lower, estimate but went with Mark because he promised his work would be better in several specific areas. For example, he mentioned larger plant pot sizes in our back row of plantings but when the plants arrived they were all the same size. This was changed once we mentioned it but this is just one of many examples where we had to stay on top of things. We thought we were paying a premium price so that we would not have to do so. Many of the plants did not look healthy upon delivery. When we mentioned this, Mark assured us that once they were planted, they would perk up. Three weeks later, one plant was dead and 3 others were looking sickly. Now two and a half months later, we still have one dead plant and now we have 6 other plants that are not looking well. Our irrigation system, checked by Mark, is in fine working order and we followed Mark's directions exactly. Finally after 4 texts and one voice mail, Mark responded that he thinks the 6 sickly plants may recover and the one dead one--well, we should just take care of that ourselves through a local nursery. Mark is very personable and we tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but his response of not caring about our dead and dying plants and that we are on our own has earned him this one star rating. Very unprofessional.

The guys that came out were professional and just super nice, especially to my five year old.
