That being said, there are just some people that should not be in the medical profession . Those who lack empathy, care & concern should choose professions where those attributes are not necessary. Unfortunately, this "doctors" office is full of women who are clearly just there for a check. There's miscommunication between the front staff, patients & the nurse. Mismanaged time is expected, & there is no hospitality or care for their patients. Again, please do not waste your time here. Go somewhere else, I encourage you to go where your time & concerns are valued. You are worth exceptional care, you won't find that here. Well the opposite happened to me. After visiting Southern Crescent Medical Center in Stockbridge, I got a bad blood draw and my left arm has been week and sore for 6 month now. Shantel Bryant not only tried to turn a blind eye to the fact that her medical assistant did a bad blood draw on me, even after the girl admitted it, but she also got hostile and hung up the phone on me for asking her to pay the $77 imaging fee to have my arm looked at for blood clot etc. She had the audacity to state "blood draws don't cause blood clots, especially when done with a butterfly needle." This statement shows Shantel's lack of medical knowledge. Not only is she not a nurse, there is no doctor at this facility. Which concerns me. How can you call yourself a "doctor's office" with no doctor practicing in the building. If you end up at this facility ask to speak to the doctor before being seen. I will never use them again! You shouldn't either!

I thought I was hearing things. What has the health care I dusty come to??? I have a bit of an unusual case as my previous rheumatologist closed his office and decided he would be better suited for Lupus Research...I get it...But what am I suppose to do about getting my medical records??? I've called several numbers, several different times and was referred to several other people to get my records and have had zero luck with this...Needless to say, the robotic gentleman could care less about what I was saying and he could do nothing else for me. I strongly recommend NOT seeing anyone at this office because you are wasting your time. On top of that, I somehow developed pink eye and had to return the same night because my condition became worse after my initial visit. I understand that urgent care facilities can have long wait times, but when people are in real pain, sitting in the lobby for hours is very difficult. What's more concerning is that the doctors sometimes seem uninterested in gathering detailed information about what's going on. It gives the impression that they are rushing through visits instead of thoroughly addressing patients' concerns. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but after multiple visits without real resolution, the experience has been disappointing.

I am know a great number of physicians and specialist. My professional opinion is the Dr. O'meara truly spends significant time with his patients and tries to educate and heal the patients he encounters, instead of like most throw a prescription at you and send you out the door. He is the true definition of a home town physician that truly still believes in patience care and patient advocacy. Dr. O'meara was a paramedic in Florida before attending Medical School. He is one the rare gems that knows all sides of medicine and has worked from the ground up. Dr O'meara Is the only physician for me and my family.

I would like to break my review into sections. DOCTORS and theirs PAs: I have been treated by Dr. Choi, Dr. Orcutt, Dr. Schmidt, Dr Nourbakhsh and Dr. Wimbush. I received excellent care and attention from each one. I have to address Daniel Brown. by himself. He is a PA but he has been invaluable in my care throughout. Dr. Wimbush literally saved my life by recognizing I had blood clots and sending me out for evaluation. She also recognized the pain I was having in my neck needed immediate attention and sent me to Dr. Choi. She and Jessica (her PA) have left Piedmont and I consider that a great loss for this hospital. I can't begin to tell you all the things she did for me. It would make this post longer than it will be. Dr. Choi performed my Cervical surgery. He did a wonderful job. He wasn't the best when it comes to communication but that's why you have to do your research. He has left the hospital too. Dr. Nourbakhsh performed my spinal surgery and he did an excellent job. I have suffered from serious back pain for years and just recently could barely walk. I am 100% better now and any pain I have is nothing compared to where I was. I am very happy. Dr Orcutt performed my scope on my knee and will be performing my total knee replacement in about 24 hours. I have complete confidence in his abilities. That's where your research comes into play. I'm not looking forward to the surgery and pain but I'm confident I am in good hands. Unfortunately he is leaving next year. Dr. Schmidt was the first Dr. I encounter here. He evaluated me after I came here from another practice after they were ready to do hip surgery without doing their own evaluation. I ran. He let me know I have a few miles left on these worn hips. I was grateful. Daniel Brown has been the person giving me shots, discussing my options and keeping me out of pain as much as possible. He has a way of putting you at ease and working with you to keep you moving until you get up the nerve to have surgery. He is leaving with Dr Orcutt and will be a great loss to this hospital. Thanks to all of you for the care I have received in your hands. THE STAFF: The clinical staff is great!!! THE EMERGENCY ROOM: A total NO GO!!! I pray I never have to go there again. When I walked in the RN(A black woman with her hair in a bun) I didn't catch her name she was so…read moresweet and helped me right away, even had someone from medical records to update and merge my charts. She had to tell the rude lady Jewel(white) to assist the other lady that was sitting in the waiting room and her response was she didn't know anyone was back there she saw someone came in through ambulance. The sweet lady was like no it's literally someone sitting in the waiting room. Jewel responds with I can't keep sitting here with this light flickering I knew then she was going to be a problem. So when it came time for me to have vitals done Jewel called me I sat in the chair it's 6am I'm sick and had been sick for days with flu like symptoms and my temperature would not drop. So she says she's going to do a Strep flu and Covid I said I had a flu and Covid test done yesterday because I was at another Urgent care yesterday and it was negative and the Dr informed me if my Temperature didn't drop to go to the Emergency room so that's what I did she tells I'm going to call him Nurse Nick I think that's his name (he has a nose ring) she tells him I refused testing I said no I never refused it I just told her that I was tested yesterday and it was negative. He said our test checks for everything and sometimes the rapid test doesn't pick up everything so he tested me and swabbed my throat. Simple and after I got my clinical notes I see that she also fabricated that I wouldn't take off my jacket and that she advised me too such a liar they need to put her somewhere else because dealing with people is not it. She's such a liar and maybe just maybe she was having a bad day but to think the amount of people that have to deal with that while being sick is crazy. I did have the sweetest nurse Josie so kind and compassionate and cared about me feeling better I truly appreciate her and the nose ring nurse and the RN that checked me in wish I could've gotten her name.
