A confirmation email was sent to book for grooming. We also received a reminder email less than 24 prior to appointment. We were then turned down at the door and they would not groom our dog due to the new policy. This is something we wish would have been known prior to the appointment or listed in the confirmation email on any changes made. I sent an email explaining our experience and never received a reply. We have been going to Pet Resort for years and it's sad for our small town.

I only do so because I truly believe he is running a dangerous operation, and I am thinking of the animals, too. Won't get into the details of it, but basically had a pup with Customized K9 from its birth to a little under a year, and we are still questioning about whether he will be able to overcome the damage from the bad habits we built in our time at Customized K9. Yes, there is no one "right" way or method of training, but there are things that can be seen as a "wrong" way because of the negative long term effects/etc. Regardless of my poor "messed up" pup, who my heart aches for every day and that I am now paying for again to undo training I had paid Customized K9 for, there were issues from the beginning. It was incredibly unorganized, we got very mixed communication/information, if any, and were handed a very complex breed of dog as a puppy (too early, might I add) with no guidance. I wish that we had met our current trainer first. We were too naive to know any better, honestly, which is why I'm making this review. There's very little information out there on the type of dog training Customized K9 does as well as the type of dog they breed. Their Facebook page has a video of the trainer stating that everyone needs to calm down about training styles and it's just about taking your dogs out and "having fun." Well, it's not so "fun" if your dog ends up messed up, or even dangerous, is it? Update: I also left a shorter version of this review on their Facebook page and they removed it.
