He told me he was a few weeks out, which I was okay with. i wasn't in a tremendous rush, but I did need the job done by end of the month because my bedroom had a furniture delivery, which I made sure to communicate to Brian. A day before he was supposed to show, I confirmed with him via text. The next morning he had to immediately reschedule from Monday to Wednesday as his partner called out. Wednesday morning comes and Brian again texts me with an excuse that he had a family emergency and had to reschedule to the following week. Of course I rescheduled due to his circumstances and told him to spend time with his family. But i did mention that my furniture delivery was the following Tuesday morning and I needed the work done by Monday, which he promised me It would be. That weekend i again texted with Brian to confirm and he responded saying that he would be at my house Monday morning. Monday morning comes- no show, no text, phone turned off going straight to voicemail. Today is Tuesday and I still have no communication from him over 24 hours after he was supposed to show up. As a result, my husband and I had to take the day off of work to get the job done before our furniture delivery, which has cost us money due to my employment being part time. I would never recommend Caruso brothers, nor will I ever contact again. Extremely unprofessional and little respect for others time!

He didn't balk when we ran into problems and the work scope got bigger. He worked from the time he arrived, till the time he left. We barely knew he was here! I swear, I don't think he ever took a break! Now, let's talk about his craftsmanship.... This guy is a perfectionist! And it comes through on the details. He clearly has the highest of standards and work ethic! European standards are high! It's SO REFRESHING!!! Yurii is by far the best contractor we have worked with in WNC. My neighbor sells lumber, so I bought materials from him...and I very much appreciated Tripp coordinating with him to make sure the design was correct. There were some minor disconnects that they were able to remedy giving us the look we wanted. I realize that I could have found a less expensive option, but I thrilled with the final results. And since it is composite, that's the last time I have to worry about it.

We paid a total of $54,858.87 in full for custom cabinetry, delivery, and installation. Ms. Andrea…read moreLeigh Martin has cut off all communication with us, is refusing to provide the location of our paid-for property, and has threatened to resell it. The Core Issues: * Paid in Full for Potentially Non-Existent Goods: We are currently on our second licensed builder for this project. Our first builder paid Ms. Martin / Meliora House of Design in full for our cabinetry. Despite that, she attempted to alter contract terms, wanting us to sign a new agreement and pay additional fees. Crucially, I contacted her designated cabinet builder, who advised that our cabinets were never actually built. * Police Intervention: When Police contacted her regarding the withholding of our property, she claimed that only our current builder could pick the cabinets up. However, our builder has no contract with her, and she still refuses to provide a physical pickup address to us (the rightful owners). * Additional Conditions: Andrea has stated in writing that she will consider our $55,000 worth of cabinetry "abandoned" and will pursue "resale" within 14 days, all while blocking our ability to retrieve them. Law Enforcement, Public Records & Legal Actions: * Department of Justice: Due to the nature of these business practices, a formal report has been officially filed against Ms. Martin with the Department of Justice (DOJ). * Federal Court Action: On March 17, 2026, a federal default action was entered against Andrea Leigh Martin and Meliora House of Design, LLC in the Western District Court of North Carolina, stemming from a massive $250,000 judgment claim. * Extensive Liens: Public records reveal that Ms. Martin currently has 6 active liens filed against her. Summary: Andrea Martin took a massive up-front payment, failed to deliver or install, misrepresented production status, and used threats of reselling cabinets we paid for--which her own designated cabinet builder confirmed to us were never actually built. To clarify her spin: she messaged our current builder to pick up the cabinets, but proceeded to change the pickup location and stipulations over and over until they understandably refused to engage further with her erratic runaround. Please note that on previous negative reviews, Andrea consistently blames the customer and claims she made "upgrades at no cost." To be clear: she did not provide any upgrades to us--and it wouldn't matter, because she never produced or delivered the cabinetry required by our contract. Also, be cognizant of any positive reviews that fail to mention Andrea actually completing or delivering physical work. Furthermore, Andrea claimed she had counsel and advised us to go through them. We would have happily done so, as we don't believe any ethical attorney would advise a client to do anything other than deliver the goods paid for in full. Despite her bluster, no legitimate legal representative has ever stepped forward to coordinate a resolution. Andrea will rightfully state this process has been drawn out over a 2 year period. In that time, we thought we established a "friendship." Unfortunately, as you can see from other reviews, that doesn't seem to matter. Due to the significant delays Andrea Martin has caused, we have had to hire a new cabinet company. In addition to incurring that expense, we were informed that her measurements were significantly off.
