They have great casseroles. However the cake I ordered was on the dry side. I was disappointed.

I want more than anything to love this bakery, but it's just too inconsistent. At the referral of a friend, i stopped in to try their locally famous Amish Friendship loaf. It was amazing! Moist and perfect. I was excited about this bakery, so i took a friend on another occasion. Same bread, but it was dry, crumbly, and disappointing. Also embarrassing because i had hyped it up so much to my friend. But i really wanted it to be great, so i gave it another try yesterday. The same bread, also the zucchini bread, and the crinkle cookies. The cookies were perfect and delicious. But both breads were disappointing--hard, tough, and seemed old. Now I don't know all ins and outs of baking, and of course i know that a small, local bakery can't bake everything daily, but these loafs were far past their prime. The dates were 12/9 and 12/10, which i assume is the last day to sell them. I visited on 12/7, which means both had several more days on the shelf. I don't know how long the owner considers these as salable, but even 2-3 days before the marked date, they are not good quality. And at more than $8 per mini loaf, it just isn't worth it, Please, please reevaluate the shelf life of these products that i know you want to be superb for your customers. My wife and I are from New Orleans. We have tried several pastries that we just did not enjoy. Even our family visiting from NOLA disapproves. The king cake is in no way close to a true King Cake from New Orleans. The Icing is way too thick like cake icing, the bread is all wrong and it's overpriced. Real King Cakes from New Orleans don't even cost this much! I'm all for supporting local and hope the business does well, but we will not be giving this place our money. I'm sure people will disagree and attack this review but, i'm hoping the business owner would like some constructive criticism to make it an authentic King Cake. read more

I ordered a cake, to pick up @ 10:00 am! I got an email @ 9:30, on the day to pick up my order was ready! I was 15 minutes away, so I started that way. When I arrived, the lady was putting chairs etc outside. I started toward the door and she told me they were not opened yet it would be another 6 or so minutes! I told her I received an email my order was ready for pickup!!! Apparently that didn't matter! I went back to my vehicle and sat until she turned the open sign on!!!! Don't send email that your order is ready if you are not open!!!! Rude!!! read more

Friendly, albeit slow service here. The cupcakes are fancy, but are not the quality of bakeries that have high competition. One thing I can highly recommend are the cheese crackers...I can polish off an entire bag in one sitting. They're impossible to resist, like Girl Scout cookies! I love supporting small local businesses, so I still pop in and make purchases, but they are not my "go-to" spot for desserts in Columbus. I saw the bakery's sign on the road and decided to stop. I bought half a dozen cupcakes and am not really impressed with the three I've eaten so far. The frosting is delicious, but the cake is dry. The cupcakes could use more frosting since they are rather large. The cupcakes seem overpriced based on overall taste. I'm not willing to pay as much as I did ($16.35) for dry cupcakes again. read more

I heard about this bakery from my friend that goes to school at MUW. I was so excited to hear they actually had French Macarons. Sadly when I got to the bakery the flavor I wanted was sold out. I asked the girl at the counter how long it would take to make more of that flavor and I would definitely be back after meeting up with my friend. She told me that they do not make the Macarons themselves. The Macarons they sell are bought from a specialty bakery. I decided to give the pistachio macaron a try and it was hollow and very dry. I was very disappointed in this and even more disappointed that it wasn't fresh and made in house. read more
