The employees are always friendly and helpful throughout my walk through of the museum. There is a train ride on a 1917 steam train that is a great experience for both children and adults. HCW was the last stop on a three day visit to various agribusinesses and was one of the most fun to check out! The Perry's are awesome and have an absolutely beautiful winery situated in Nashville, Ga., off I-75. They ALSO have a brand new tasting room directly off I-75 in Sparks, Ga., and it is beautiful. If you're passing through, definitely stop in to do some tastings. Many of their wines are made from Georgia Grown muscadine grapes, with other varieties as well. They have some really unique flavors and the winery itself is breathtaking. Wines are priced for purchase around $11-15 and they have a wine club with discounts.

The tasting room was very cozy and had such warmth to it. Here you can see all the wines, merchandise, and other products made with their grapes. And they have slushies! They have wine slushies, and non-alcoholic slushies. We got to try the Muscadine Wine Slushy, and it was awesome! They offer three lines of wines: The Family: muscadine wines, The Farm: fruit & specialty muscadine wines, Sweet Tree: wines infused with fruit flavors. We each chose different line of wines, so that we can try more flavors. I went with Sweet Tree line, since I love sweet, fruity wines. My hubby went with The Farm line. Each with beautiful color and scent. I LOVED them all! I wish if we can have a bottle of their wine every day... With the wine tasting, we also got their charcuterie board which was perfect with all the wines. It had some cured meats, nuts, cheese and crackers, and jam/jelly. This was such a great visit, we loved all the wines, and the charcuterie board. We especially enjoyed the tour of the facility and learning about the grapes, process, and the history of the Paulk Vineyards. If you love sweet, fruity wines, and have the chance to visit them, I totally recommend! They are also sold at many stores, and yes, they do ship to many states around the US!

Definitely a must stop if you're in the area. They do tasting (5 wines for $5) and have to go drinks. Because its muscadine, they all have a sweet kick but theres something for everyone for sure. Mary Lou was our flight girl and she was super knowledgeable on the wines, made great recommendations for me being that I'm anti sweet wine and picky about my wines.

I went to Art 'N The Loft for a group party recently and did a magnolia flower with pastels. It…read morewas so much fun! Jenni the instructor had cookies and crackers and other light refreshments and one of the girls in my group brought a pitcher of homemade sangria for us to share. We were able to pick our own colors and Jenni made it super easy to draw the flower - everything was step by step and she's super patient. The classes are taught in one of Tifton's older buildings, which is really neat and adds to the charm. I can't wait to go back!

There cannot be a bad seat in the house. It is conveniently located off I-75 across from the entrance to ABAC. There was plenty of parking although most of it was on grass. It was easy in and out for us. The auditorium is located inside the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center. I am sufficiently impressed with this facility for music performances that I am going to frequently check online to see who is performing there. It was an easy 2 hour drive from Tallahassee and there's always Hog 'N Bones for dinner before the show.

The way trackman works to analyze the swing it helps to fix exact problem. I would strongly recommend getting lessons because those expensive clubs will not improve your bad swing. You can also play actual courses and hit realistic shots. Really fun!!!

A BLAST FROM THE PAST!…read more This Art Deco theater has been around since 1937 and has obviously been renovated since that time. It is actually a very nice theater (great decor and comfortable environment), and I am glad to see that it is in use today. It is a great resource for the community and a great place for community functions. My husband and I attended a talent show here and one of our early challenges was finding a comfortable seat. You can actually feel some of those springs! Once we settled in and found the perfect seats everything was fine, (great sound, nice bathrooms, concession area available). The seating is designed so that you have a great view of the stage from every area. The one thing that was a little awkward was having performers and attendants enter and exit the stage from the front. This can be very distracting and I wish that a bit of mystery could have been maintained. A great "old school" theater that is even more special at night with all of its dazzling lights! You must take in a performance when visiting the area.

ARTS IN BLACK FESTIVAL…read more The Arts in Back Festival is an annual festival that showcases the talent of black youth in the community. The event started on Friday night with a talent show at the Tift Theater. I was so proud of the young people who participated in this event because they arrived on time and were well-behaved. All of the performances were very positive, (except one) and very up-lifting as they included lyrical dance, singing and spiritual interpretations of music. It was a perfect opportunity for families and youth to bond and have a nice evening out. The one act that proved to be totally inappropriate was the female group Bella. Their act was raunchy and performed along with explicit music which was totally inappropriate since this event was well attended by young kids. I am an adult and I didn't want to see that but I am glad that they were the last act because we left immediately following. The adults who planned this event really need to get organized because it was a disorganized mess. It was scheduled to start at 7pm but did not start until just before 8 pm. When the MC finally decided to start the event, no apology was made for keeping the audience waiting. The MC clearly did not know what he was doing and did not keep things flowing, (he actually had the audience waiting for a specific performer when it was revealed that the performer was not even present). Having performers just walk up to the stage from the audience was a bit awkward. Having the MC actually pull the curtain back to continually check if the next act was ready, was just unprofessional. Audience members who arrived late should not have been allowed in the auditorium in the middle of a performance, they should have just waited for the transition. This was not only disruptive to the audience but also disrespectful of the performer. Rules governing cell phone use should have been clearly communicated to the audience before the start of the show. For example: If you need to stand up to record, please move to the aisle so as not to block the view of others. DAY TWO The festival resumes in Fulwood Park with a few food and service vendors. The guy selling the Chicken Philly was the truth! That sandwich was perfectly seasoned with a generous serving of chicken and grilled veggies on a tasty bun. As far as events, this too was an unorganized mess so we stayed for less that two hours. The problem was that the scheduling of artists was very abrupt and the entertainment did not flow continuously. Although the artists were just standing around, they were not being called to the stage to perform and perhaps they were just trying to make the performances last. It was more annoying than anything. The technician would repeatedly yell from the audience to the stage directing the artists to press the red button or grab that mic. Very unprofessional! We were really enjoying ourselves after listening to jazz, rap and spoken word art forms and waiting for the Talent Show winners to perform. Although they had several acts that were to perform, they decided to put one of their unsuccessful musical acts on stage for TWO hours. This was our cue to leave. Attendees should have been encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets because minimal seating was provided on a very warm day. We actually had our own reclining patio chairs so we were comfortable. I do hope that someone steps up to make some positive changes for next year's festival because the participants deserve better. With a little tweaking and attention to detail, this could be a festival that people will be excited to attend. *** The stars are for the performers who truly delivered. *** Organizers may want to reconsider those large yellow stars pinned on the front of the performers. (Research history). *** The winners of the talent show were phenomenal and actually moved me with their interpretive performance.
