Specialties

Visit us in the spring and summer to pick your own strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, plums, and nectarines when in season. And starting in 2020 we will also have grapes, apples, satsuma oranges, and bananas. We have a large covered porch and 2 log cabins for sitting in the shade to watch the kids on our large playground. The most unique playground in the south, it's made up almost entirely of recycled, repurposed, or refurbished items, most of which came from the farm. Enjoy our homemade ice creams and slushies and shop our gift shop that has a little something for everyone. From boutique tshirts to toys to men's accessories, jams, jellies, salsas and pickles there is a little something for everyone in our store! Feel free to contact us to find out what's in season!

History

Established in 1998.

We first planted strawberries and blackberries in 1999, and had a small store in Enigma on Hwy 82. We also had a upick location out on the farm (across the road from where we are now) and a third location in neighboring Lowndes County (Valdosta). After years of trial and error and almost being ahead of the agritourism trend, we closed the Hwy 82 location, and then eventually closed the Lowndes county location and decided to focus on the home farm (4 miles south of Enigma) and do a better job here. We added the store, playground, and more options for U-Pick and it gets bigger and grows every year!

Meet the Manager: Jennifer M.

Jennifer McMillan, oldest daughter of owner Steve McMillan and niece of owner Tim McMillan has worked the strawberry field almost from the beginning when they added the strawberry field in Lowndes County years ago. It was with much prayer and conversation that the family decided to close that location and focus on the home farm location. Jennifer and Laura's (wife of Steve and manager of farm office) dream was to open a store again, country store with gifts, homemade ice creams, etc. As Jennifer began adding more and more items in the store, from boutique items such as trendy shirts, jewelry, and handbags, to country store fare: grits, georgia grown items, local honey, jams, jellies, pickles, etc, to men's hats and wallets, corkcicle tumblers, toys, even souvenirs they (after 2 years) had to expand the store to accommodate the added merchandise. Jennifer dreamed up the idea of the recycled playground and Steve ran with it making it locally famous!
