We stopped by for a sampling after seeing their billboards. The winery is cozy and cute with charcuterie type meals in the cooler. The wines are muscadine based made from the vines growing next to the building. They offer a range of reds, whites, and fruit forward wines. Most are sweet with a couple of dry wines. Our server was friendly but admitted she needed to learn more about winemaking to answer our questions. We were a bit surprised to learn during our sampling that it was $15 for the 4 one-ounce pours. We probably would not have gotten two if we knew the price. We could not locate the price listed anywhere. We did purchase a couple bottles of wine but may have purchased more if the samples were not so pricy. read more

The sweet employee made our visit memorable. She was very engaging with our wine flight information and the knowledge of the area. It is in winter, so the grounds were barren, but the wine was very good. It is a nice building with clean bathrooms to stop and visit. The wine was worthy of a purchase. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our visit here. We started with a tasting and really loved most of the wine. There's something for every pallet, sweet to dry. We had the Chardonnay and the Hahira Red Supreme with our dinner over in their restaurant. We sat outside overlooking the back side of the beautiful vineyard and enjoyed some great live music. While camping nearby....... we checked out the Horse Creek Winery & Bistro. We stepped into the lobby and it was welcoming. Peyton was in charge of the wine tasting today.... very nice young man. He handed us the "wine menu" and explained the system of dry to sweet, whites to reds & which ones involved the Muscadines Grape. We had never seen that grape before.... they are very large. Anyway...$6.00 for the tasting, 6 glasses of 1 oz pours... and you keep the glass!! Cool. We started in the whites... Pinot & Chardonnay..... like the Chardonnay better. Dry is dry...sweet is sweet... white or red...pick your poison!!. Actually, the Wine mixed with Peach (can't remember the exact name) was very tasty... but still sweet. I think it would go great with a cheesecake dessert.....yum! We settled on a mix 6 pack of Chardonnay & Merlot. Left as Happy Campers and went to the Bistro for lunch. We were greeted by Jessica.... tons of personality, a sweet Southern accent & bright smile. Very nice young lady. Husband ordered the hamburger and I ordered the French Dip.... and a glass of Merlot! (Me....?.. Imagine that !! ). Hubby ate the hamburger so fast that I didn't get a picture of it. He liked it a lot.....seasoned right and properly cooked. My french dip with au jus sauce & homemade fries was overall good.... my only suggestion would be to put a bit more meat on it. (Needs to be more meat than bun). Make it hearty! And, the limpy fries needed to be crispier but again, seasoned well. I did enjoy my meal. Sat night, they have Heath Deloach coming in to play his Country music. I listened with uTube.... he's good in our opinion. Wish we could get there but we have other plans tonight. Yes, I would come back and/or stop by as we passed through. We noticed this winery on our way to Reed Bingham State park a few weeks ago and decided to stop in one day. First, great location next to I-75. Ample parking with large spaces (our dually fit nicely). Upon entering the large white front doors you are greeted with the wine tasting/bar on the right hand side. We chose to walk through to the bistro to grab a table and order before grabbing our wine selections to try. We were promptly given menus and our drink order taken by a friendly waitress. We ordered cokes and waters. All were served cold, fresh and quickly. Refills abounded as well without having to ask! We ordered kids burgers with fries which were large, tasty and had leftovers for two of our kids. Highly recommend. Also we were asked if all toppings were okay or not and were offered cheese choices as well. We also ordered a grilled chicken wrap, grilled chicken sandwich, and grilled shrimp po boy sandwich all with fries. All food was delicious, hot, fresh and presented nicely. They were out of flour so no fried foods besides the French fries which was fine with us. The wine tasting is a great deal! You get to choose 6 wines to taste and you get to keep the small wine glass which is adorable and a great souvenir. We loved the red blend and other reds as well as some sweeter wines. We even grabbed 12 to take home. Will visit again on our next visit to the area. read more

Wine is ok at best but the food is horrible.. I know what you are thinking who goes to winery to eat but when you got Ribeye and shrimp on the menu you should at least know how to cook them. The shrimp were awful and the steak was a greasy mess. Way over priced and food was just not good. We could have eaten at most places twice for that amount. The place could use a good cleaning and you will leave there smelling like you were in the kitchen cooking yourself. Georgia has over 50 wineries, mostly in the north Georgia mountains. Horse Creek is the finest winery south of Atlanta. All the wines we've tried are muscadine or fruit based. But unlike so many, Horse Creek's are beautifully crafted and not over sweet. Every trip to Florida starts with a stop at Exit 41 for a case of wine and a stop on the way back to fill the case back up to 12 bottle.s Blackberry (Blackjack) is our favorite. Smooth and fresh. Peach (Traveller) is peachy, sweet and a wonderful dessert wine. Both are more fruit foward than muscadine. I nice difference from other muscadine wines. I'll also tip my hat to Miss Blue (Blueberry) with an interesting mouth feel. The best white is Winterville white. Crisp and lightly sweet (remember these are muscadines). Great with fish, or have a glass while sitting with your honey on the porch. The selection of wines is quite extensive. We have many more to try, but I'm certain these expert wine makers will impress us. read more

I have to say, what we were expecting and what we pulled up to was not what we expected. This location is literally right off of the freeway. I was having to take pictures angled away to keep the interstate out of the background. My fiancee said it was "fancy gas station wine." Now, I know this isn't the original location from Nashville, GA, and I understand that. We actually drove to see the other location and we would have stopped there but they weren't open. Anyways! We received wine tasting vouchers from the Perry Fair and that is what sparked this trip to begin with. We were greeted promptly when we walked in and taken over to the wine tasting bar. We each tried 5 different ones and of course liked some more than others.I felt a little rushed to try them because the girl just stood in front of us. She didn't really inform us about any of the wines we were trying either, just poured them. Oh well. And apparently you're supposed to get the wine glass free with the tasting, but the girl was gonna charge us $3/glass. It was when we were eating at the bistro that the girl asked us where our glasses were and we told her they were being held at the bar. She ended up giving us fresh wine glasses for free! Thank you! As I mentioned, we ventured to the bistro after the tasting. I ordered the philly cheese steak and he got the rib eye steak sandwich. I enjoyed the philly and it came with a side of au ju sauce. We were both very pleased with the food. I didn't care too much for the apple based cold slaw. It was too sweet for me. The potato salad was okay; I ended up having to put a lot of salt and pepper. I think it needed more creaminess. I guess in sum, we probably won't be returning to this location. I feel it is more for a tourist stop on the way to Florida. Nothing against the staff, they were great. We may try the Nashville location some time though. read more

After all the billboard boasting bistro now open me and my sister were excited to try it out. Small backstory my sister is diabetes and basically has to plan her day around eating at specific times and if she doesn't eat she can pass out and go to the hospital. So we drive to the small town and even further to the winery/bistro and walk inside to see chairs on the table. According the the staff the bistro is only open Saturday Sunday none of the billboard signs specify that. My sister ended up getting very ill and passing out because her blood sugar dropped drastically. If you are going to pay for billboard advertising please add the operation hours if they are different from your regular business hours. read more

They had plenty of choices of wine to meet your taste buds. You so need to pay $6 for 5 small samples. I think they were 1/2 ounce but you get to take your wine glass home with you. There is a cafe in site that we didn't eat At. The wine prices are average for the bottle. The staff is friendly but could explain the wines a little better. I was on a road trip a few years back and stopped at this winery. I'm not usually a big wine drinker but I found 2 wines here I still crave to this day - Blackjack and Big Red. Since I live in AZ, it is almost impossible to get the wine but recently I had a friend buy a home in Waynesboro Georgia. I was able to arrange to have the wine delivered and my friends agreed to bring it home to me. I ran my request through Ericka Watson who is the Manager at this winery and she was WONDERFUL to work with. Ate at the Bistro. Was highly offended by the lack of respect for the great Dan Patch in regards to the menu. Great race horses such as Secretariat and Seabiscuit had honors mentioned. However, Black Beauty received the honor of being on the menu for just being a famous fictional horse when I feel that Dan Patch could have filled that spot nicely. Every year I make a few trips up Interstate 75 from Florida to the Atlanta area to visit family. On my way up, I would see billboards promoting Horse Creek Winery. Horse Creek Winery at Perry Vineyards in Nashville, Georgia, has a forty acre vineyard that produces wines made from muscadine grapes. Although the vineyard is off Exit 79, there is a tasting room/gift shop in Sparks, Georgia. It is literally off Interstate 75 at Exit 41. I stopped in here a few time to buy bottles of their Big Red red table wine. The label on the bottle promotes it as a semi-sweet wine, but I found it to be a little too sweet. Horse Creek Winery suggest that their Big Red wine be served chilled. This wine would be great for when you are home making a wine cooler on a warm weekend afternoon. A white table wine is also available, along with other wines from the Horse Creek label. Others wines such as Vinifera wines, are also available for purchase. Wines are also available for sampling. The gift shop also offers products featuring fruits grown locally, such as jams and jellies. I purchased a jar of Blackberry Moonshine Jelly that has a kick to it. Great on toast! On my last visit here in November, I made a stop on the way up to Atlanta, then a stop on my way back home to Florida. On both visits, the lady working the tasting room and gift shop rang up my purchase, but did nothing else as to inform me of other wines that Horse Creek had to offer. She seemed to be put off that she had to come out of the office to assist me. If you are traveling through south Georgia, either on your way to Florida or heading up north on Interstate 75, take a moment to stop in and try some wines made locally. There are some good wines coming out of Georgia. And you may just find one that you like. read more

My father in law and myself are both veterans and to be treated like white trash. my husban, in laws, and some friends went out to relax and all they had on the menu was burger, salad, and tenders. so after we sat down ordered our drinks. We looked at the menu and seen what they had to offer we decided to go somewhere else. we canceled our drank order and as we walked out the bartender made a comment " what they going to VFW ". It was like we wasn't good enough to even be there. I will not go back and will not recommend anyone to go there. The waitress had such short shorts on I honestly felt like we walked into hooters and they just wasn't friendly. You would have thought they would have had a little more class than they did. Worst service ever! My husband and I went to dinner for Valentine's Day and literally sat there for 2 hours with little attention from the wait staff and left with NO dinner. We politely asked for our check only for them to try to charge us for the meals we didn't receive. After finally getting the correct bill, we paid for the cheese sticks we ordered 2 hours prior and our beverages. it took my wife out here to get me to come here. everyday i drive by their billboards and thought how cool it would be to check this place out. and then she goes on to have FTR and beat me to it!!!! in my own hood!!!! like she said, this place is really new, and extension of their main location in nashville. it feels new and looks new. the grapes come from their nashville location, however, they have started an orchard of their own. the layout is very spacious, reminded me of some of the wineries in napa. 10 tastings for 10 bucks, keep the glass, and wine slushy included! you absolutely cannot beat this deal. their pours were also very liberal. i liked this place and have high hopes for those wishing to discover wines from the regional grapes, the muscadines. mostly sweet wines, but i know they are always tiinkering for more tastes. either living in the region or passing through, highly recommended stop!!!!! read more
