I missed my connecting flight and I had to buy a hotel room for the evening because there were no more flights available. After spending $500 booking a new flight and a hotel room, I called customer service to see if I could be reimbursed... long story short, no, I couldn't because I didn't book my connecting flight through them. Fast forward 2 weeks (Now), I have a flight home for Christmas through Contour airlines. I just received a text message stating that there's ANOTHER DELAY, which is causing the same issue all over again! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY and just take the train. This airline is unreliable and you will be inconvenienced just like me.

TSA is super fast and they were very pleasant to talk too. They will measure your baggage and ask your weight for safety reasons. It's a tiny plane. Pretend like your have a private plane lol cuz it's super slow. I like how Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois honor veterans with artifacts. You need to make sure you are here by boarding time. There is ample parking space and it is free. Baggage: the connecting flight was different and somewhat difficult. If you are doing a connecting flight and can not get 2 hours between them it may be less of a hassle to bring a book bag only. I was closed to not making it but I did thankfully! I would recommend but be mindful. We had to take a shuttle and that took more time as well.

They have 2 courtesy cars (when working) that are easy to use to get to the numerous restaurants in Perryville and in Chester across the river. Al's Diner is nearby and is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The FBO is nice with clean bathrooms, shower, recliners, water and coffee. Greg G has kept it well stocked with snacks and soda for a small price. Fuel is competitively priced. The only caution is the airport manager is not pleasant, and will not help you if you have a problem. She seems to only care about business from the Weststar company on the other side of the airport. She has refused to allow transients into empty hangers in bad weather, claimed to not have a key to the tenant hanger when one forgot his key, hidden the courtesy car keys to prevent certain people from using the car, refused to let the tug be used to move disabled aircraft, refused to allow emergency repair work to be done on aircraft, and then apparently notified the FAA when the aircraft had to be flown to another airport. When we have tried to bring flight students in for a week of training that needed hotels and would be spending money in the community, she told them to their face that she did not care and caused them to go elsewhere. It is a nice airport, a great community and a good place to stop on the weekend when the airport manager is not present.

The place seems mellow, low-key. Few distractions for shopping and eating here. (There may have been none; we just hung out at our gate.) Our flight left a few minutes early; I guess everyone was ready to go. Minus one star because the TSA agent was quite short with me. There was no line and I was not doing anything inappropriate. My companion noticed her rudeness too.

You don't have to wait long for your bags however they have what I think are public security guards of some sort in the front of the building or absolutely exercising authority, acting like police, being rude, unkind with people who are outside pulling up to pick up passengers. I understand it needs to keep moving however, you don't have to be rude, nasty or unkind or think you're a policeman of some sort. Also, the airport could use some kind of bus to take passengers to the parking lot. This would benefit, especially those with small children or the elderly. Of course they could charge for the service since we all know that one thing Allegiant is known for is the nickel and diming for every little thing. I think people would pay for a bus to take them to their car though.

It's…read moreso tiny, I'm 80% sure the person who checks your ID at TSA could moonlight as your flight attendant... and honestly, I wouldn't even be mad about it. It's tucked right off the main road in Paducah, which makes it super convenient to grab a bite before or after your flight. Bonus points for being stress-free from the moment you park to the moment you board. The bag check process? A breeze. TSA? Practically a polite wave through a high-tech bag scanner (they even have the fancy new machines). And every single employee I interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful--like, Southern hospitality in airport form. Now let's talk about the gate area. Sure, there are only two gates (and let's be real, only one seems to be in action at a time), but the seating situation? Chef's kiss. You've got your standard airport rows with outlets, Jetsons-style lounge chairs, pods with privacy dividers perfect for pulling out a laptop, and even a four-seat square setup with space to stretch out. Need to perch up high? There's a high-top table too. It's basically the WeWork of tiny airports. There's also a small vending area with a few snacks and drinks--nothing to write home about or hold your breath for, but it'll hold you over in a pinch. And shout out to the bathrooms: super clean, well-stocked, and clearly cared for. Barkley may be bite-sized, but it punches way above its weight class. If every airport ran this smoothly, flying would feel a lot more like teleporting.
