We stayed at a hotel in Jacksonville that night, so I called several dentists in the Jacksonville area to find out if they can see me on a short notice, and finally this office could squeeze me in (I think on their lunch hour, which I noticed later). Everybody was super nice and they even emailed the xrays to my regular dentist. Turned out I had an abscessed tooth and got antibiotics. Dr. Miller was right, I had to get the root canal redone, because one of the roots was not filled out completely and that is what caused the infection. Thanks for squeezing me in that day, so we could continue our vacation.

She is a clear communicator and keeps me informed of anything I need to know as well as answering my questions. Last winter I had to have a cracked rear molar removed. The oral surgeon that worked on me did a superb job. Afterward I had no tenderness at all. I can't remember how many years I have been coming to Premier Care Dental but I am very, very pleased with the care that I consistently receive.

That said, the last visit I had with him a few months back was both a bizarre and troubling experience. He basicallly destroyed one of my teeth, leaving a massive ridge across the the back of, that I have since had repaired by an ethical, good dentist. He also refused to do a filling that he insisted needed a crown, something I did not feel good about and have since had filled with no problem- the other dentist didn't even make mention of a crown being a potential option. He spent literally 10 min. in my mouth to do 2 fillings, the epoxy he used did not remotely match (my other tooth looks like a candy corn or something) and the other is the included image (taken by the dentist I saw a month later) I seriously felt he was high on something. AVOID.

He's not inexpensive - but you get the care for which you pay. He does recommend more complete solutions to a dental issue - he tends to favor long term solutions rather than quick fixes. His support staff are good and very competent - as well as enjoyable and fun to deal with (and that's a sentence I never thought I write about a dental office.) I'd recommend Dental Excellence without qualm.

They did not discuss with me any of the procedures they were doing or the cost of the procedures. I would not have consented if I knew they were not covered. I am a senior surviving mostly on my Social Security and I received a huge bill. I feel completely taken advantage of. I appealed with my insurance company, Regence, and they have denied my appeal. Evidently , there is another dentist Dr. Fox in my city and who is in my network. I made an appointment with the wrong one. I don't understand why this other Fox Dental did not inform me at any time that I would be charged for my exam or X-rays. Sadly, I can't recommend them. My husband and I had just had full mouth x rays done before we moved and we know we needed work done. I called a week ahead to have all our records transfered over and then called to confirm with this office that they had them prior to our appointments. I drove an hour round trip for my early morning appointment and was told after several minutes of waiting that my records could not be found. I was then told that my insurance was probably not going to cover any of the fillings I needed to have done. I specifically asked about the insurance on the phone before making the appointment and was told that the work would in fact be covered. I was also told that I would have the exam and some of the work done during the first appointment since I had already been seen by another dentist and no cleaning was needed. In summary, the staff was rude, contradicted themselves and condescending! The office was ugly and unwelcoming. And in closing I would like to say that one apology for the incompetance would have gone a long way and kept me from writing this unfavorable review. Avoid Dr Workinger's office if you want a proffessional experience.

I felt heard and considered in all conversations. The dental hygienist, Donna, treated me with respect and I received excellent care. I had a crown replacement soon after my initial appointment and received the same level of care.
