That crew worked extremely hard in record heat from 9 to 6 every day. They worked fast - not sloppy fast, but efficient fast; like they have done this a thousand times before. And they left the job site clean and orderly every day. Our agreement was that IW would build the structure and I would procure the door and windows, which they would install. We had to wait a few weeks for the windows, but IW came back and finished the job as soon as the windows were available. We got quotes from several builders, and IW's price was in the middle, but they gave me the most confidence that they could actually do the job. And I liked that they did not ask for any money upfront, but rather pay 25% at 4 agreed-upon stages of progress. We had a good idea of what we wanted, and provided IW with some sketches and approximate dimensions, and they did the rest. When there were design choices to be made, they laid out the options and let us decide. They did NOT nickel and dime us with lots of billable change orders. Our project was slow to get started due to a snafu getting the building permit (which IW handled completely ) but once they got started, they made amazingly fast progress. I hired Josh to do a renovation of the main bathroom in my house. We started the second weekend of May. We had a little bit of a rocky start but then the demolition got rolling and I was feeling optimistic. After that there were a lot of days I didn't see Josh even though he said he was on his way, or he wouldn't arrive until well after lunch and only work a few hours. We got through the demolition and the plumbing updates (replacing a lot of cast iron) and then things got hinky again. I am a chill person. Things happen. But Josh was clearly disorganized, had no contingency plans for when he needed an assistant, and the last straw was when I had a leak coming from work he had done that was causing issues in my only working bathroom and had to pay for another plumber to come in and address. While that plumber was there they found other issues that I will have to pay to remediate. On 7/1 he was supposed to pick up the shower surround from Home Depot and get that in but he never showed. It has been excuse after excuse and I had to fire him. The dumpster arrived mid-May. It is early July and my bathroom is still fully gutted. I have paid out thousands of dollars - almost the entire contract amount at this point and now have to pay another contractor to finish the job. I will be consulting an attorney. I cannot NOT recommend JBH/Josh Horner enough.

They submitted a detailed proposal that accommodated our budget constraints and we got our job in their queue. Fast forward a few weeks, and we have a beautiful new floor-to-ceiling tiled, curbed shower with glass doors, new fresh tile floor, new wall color, new vanity, new light fixture, all new plumbing hardware, new matching accessories. We could not be happier with our remodeled bathroom. Josh has a crew of highly skilled craftsmen working for him. The tile guys (Oscar and Renan) were absolutely masters and Elias, who did the final painting and finishes was a definite standout as well. Finally, the most appreciated distinction of JBH was their communication. We were informed when trades would be on site and concerns were consistently addressed in a timely manner. I encountered issues with Northside Remodeling during a basement renovation. I learned they had…read morehandled the permit application for our renovation without our knowledge or approval. They named themselves as the contractor on our permit without us contracting with them. After reaching out to the county for a copy of the application, I discovered that details were added to our form after my signature, without any notification to me. Not only was I surprised to see Northside Remodeling and Willie Middleton's name on the permit & application, I was extremely surprised to find my signature on a document I didn't fill out. This unexpected change left me feeling very uneasy, questioning the level of honesty with this business. The basement project itself was rife with issues - rough-in plumbing done incorrectly, window egress not installed to code, framing not complete or installed correctly. In Georgia, the licensed contractor on the permit is accountable and responsible for the work to be done to code. We have since had to hire a new contractor and pay additional money to fix these errors. It wasn't the smooth experience I hoped for, and I personally would want to find a company that emphasizes clear and upfront communication.

We needed a bathroom upgraded in an 80 plus year old home that did not work. The tub was cracked…read morethe plumbing was shot. I asked Chateau Sept Renovations to come out and provide a quote and to explain if the bathroom had any potential. Jose came out like the next day (IMPRESSIVE)! He explained what needed to be done, how long the job should take (unless they ran into issues with the home being this old) and all we needed to do is pick a day when they could get started. Since I did not have a clue as to what I was doing, I gave Chateau Sept Renovations, full control over renovating the bathroom. What I mean by that is they picked the tile and the flooring; we picked the paint. Even with authorizing them to create at will, Jose still sent several pictures of flooring and tile to ensure we were included in the process and to make us feel like we were truly getting what we wanted. When the project started, Jose and Matt came out to get everything in order. Products, materials and supplies started arriving at my home, so Jose and Matt created a staging area in the front of the house (my living room) ONLY because the day the project started a storm popped up and I mean it was storming. Although the interior of my home was used as a storage area, they covered the floor and everything around the supplies to ensure my carpet and furniture was protected. As the project progressed, Matt treated my home as if it were his own. When he didn't like how something turned out, he wouldn't leave until it was done the way he thought it should look based on what we requested. I mean the attention to detail surpassed my expectation. An example of that would be when the paint dried, he did not like how the dry wall appeared so the section he had a problem with, he sanded and painted again. I thought the room looked wonderful, but it was not where he wanted it to be. When a contractor takes that kind of pride in his work, then I will always use them in the future. My house is over 80 years old so they took their time to understand the potential problems with upgrading a house that old. Matt and Jose were transparent when they advised the potential problems when renovating older homes. They were correct, we ran into an issue with the plumbing and like professionals, they advised us of the issues, developed a plan and executed without even delaying the completion. It was certainly one of the best experiences I've had regarding contract work in a very long time. I will certainly use them for all my contracting needs.

I was very apprehensive going into this project but Jose was there every step of the way. He helped us with everything from deciding the layout of every room right down to the end when the last doorstop was installed. Jose was a joy to work with, even when we threw some ridiculous requests his way. He never said "I can't do that." Instead he would say "Sure thing. Let me figure out a way that I can do that for you." If you are thinking of doing any kind of home renovation, do yourself a favor and call Jose first. Then see if you can find anyone who can measure up to him. I'll just bet you can't.
