Such a cute shop to browse for unique gifts. They have a wide variety of items, from baby gifts and…read moreapparel to kitchenware, home décor, and books. I didn't have enough time to look through everything, but it's the kind of place where you can easily find something special. Some of the items were a bit pricey, but there were plenty of unique finds that would make great gifts. If you're visiting Nashville and need to pick up a gift, or just want to do a little shopping, this spot is well worth a stop.

The Store That Sells Everything You Didn't Know You Wanted…read more I was wandering down what I think is called 12th Street in Nashville -- that trendy stretch where even the sidewalks feel cooler than me -- and I stumbled into White's Mercantile. This place is like if a country singer, an interior designer, and an old general store all decided to start a lifestyle brand together. It's packed with everything from candles that smell like wealth and nostalgia, to mugs that make you question your current kitchen aesthetic. There's leather, linen, and probably something made from reclaimed barn wood -- all tastefully arranged to make you wish your house looked like this. After exploring all the treasures and fighting the urge to buy things I couldn't pronounce, I did what any sensible shopper would do: I bought a book. Because clearly, I'm a minimalist at heart... just one browsing session away from becoming a home décor influencer. Final Verdict: White's Mercantile is dangerously charming -- the kind of store that makes you believe you need artisanal coasters and $40 soap.

This place is filled from floor to ceiling, no embellishment, with doors, windows, mantels, hardware, door knobs, lights, handles, cabinets and other items. While majority of the items were aged quite a bit, it did appear that they had some new build doors and such if that is what you are after. Honestly, I think 50% of the inventory is doors of some variety, and I wasn't mad it! It is such a cool space to wander around for a bit. We stopped by looking for antique furniture and while they have a few pieces, that is not what this place is about. Even though we didn't find what we were after, it was cool to wander up and down the hallways and through the maze of rooms scoping out the goods...we really loved some of the windows and lights they have hanging around. Some absolutely beautiful, and pricey, finds that I could see absolutely making a space! The staff was pleasant and friendly, she greeted us when we were walking around and again as we were leaving. Overall, I could see the need and popularity of a place like this, especially when it comes to remodeling, replacing or upgrading a space.

Stumbled into this store location before visiting the OG GasLamp Antiques, and I was happily…read moresurprised! Much prefer this storefront to their other locations, and possibly due to how thought curated the booths appear to be. You can find lots of different styles and treasures throughout the store. Prices were a little high in my opinion for vast majority of the booths, but there were some reasonably priced ones as well! The store is in a warehouse, but it looks fairly new and doesn't have that old antique or thrift smell you sometimes get with antique malls. Was a nice bonus that it's not only air conditioned, but also has a little area for purchasing snacks and beverages. Parking was plentiful on a weekend (much better compared to the other location), and the staff was super helpful and sweet! Will be coming back in the future and am excited to find some new treasures!

The original GasLamp location is just right around the corner from this location...they needed to expand, so they did it right and got a second location that you can walk to from the original! GasLamp Too is a massive antique mall that has hundreds of vendor stalls with items ranging from mid-century furniture, jewelry, artwork, holiday décor, clothing, new-build chairs and tables, records, toys and much much more! GasLamp Too is king of hidden, but if you follow the signs then you will be solid! They are located right off of Powell Place. Turn at the light where Home Depot and Staples are and right before you enter Staples make a sharp left and follow that all the way to the end and here you will find a small sign on the building letting you know you have reached GasLamp Too! As mentioned, this place is massive. One thing I really enjoy about GasLamp Too is while they have a lot of items, the place is super spacious with well mapped out aisles and stalls. Additionally, none off the stalls are overran with goods. All the stalls are organized and have an appropriate amount of goods. So, that is definitely a welcome change from some of the overwhelming antique shops I have been to! Overall, we are fans of GasLamp Too! We usually swing through each visit and I will say that the selection of items is always hit and miss, but that is the fun of an antique shop and what they are at their core, so we never get upset about it!
