Then the communication with the front desk was not all it could have been. Like he told me they would give some meds for my eye one time and the staff did not get the word - so i had to stumble through asking them for the sample of something I could not pronounce as they were trying to rush me out the door. Then they did not communicate well with the VA which had approved my treatment and sent me to them. They changed it from a two-eye cataract procedure (with a break in between, of course) to only one eye - rather than one eye first and schedule the second operation at the time. The point being my second eye got delayed longer than it could have (so I was dealing with a patch over one eye for a longer spell than necessary) as they had to request a second authorization and wait for a second approval. For the second eye they scheduled me for 7:00 a.m. so I had to drive in to Cedar in the dark, with one eye with normal vision and the other with my glasses with one lens, wishing that they had given me some consideration as an old man coming from so far out of town - scheduled it sooner with a time slot later in the day. For that second eye surgery they were more rushed than for the first eye. Like they asked me my d.o.b. only twice - as opposed to five times on the first surgery - and came into the change room before I was finished struggling into the surgical gown and one nurse hurried to take my bp, reaching over the other nurse who was inserting the I.V. And they rushed me into the operating room before I was out - which was O.K., but on the first eye they had waited until I was asleep before wheeling me there. Not complaining about the professional services - the surgeries turned out fine - but it didn't help my anxiety level to think that they had someone more important to get to and wanted to just get me out of the way. Maybe it was that they don't feel Viet Nam veterans are worth the trouble or that they just hate dealing with the VA because it tends to not pay. Which I can't blame them for that - but they could have treated me with more humanity or even respect. Then I needed to new glasses - because my new lenses that Dr. D. had inserted into my eyes were for distance, so I needed reading lenses and U.V. protection - I priced the glasses at Mountain Eye and then at Southern Utah Vision and ended up at the latter: they allowed me to use my old frames and came up with a price about 100 dollars less than Mountain Eye - $241.00, which I paid because the VA was stalling on approving them. And BTW Dr. Brown at Southern Utah Vision said the surgery on my eyes was very good when he made the examinations.

Sooo, I remove the pane, and drive the 30 miles to Cedar. Went to another glass place on Main, and I stood around the lobby for about 10 minutes before somebody came out to help me. They had a definite " you ain't from around here" attitude, wanted $130 to fix the window, and were "to busy" to "maybe" fix it that day. so I left. Found Jones Glass & Paint on Google, and was immediately greeted like they were happy to see me, fixed the window in an hour, and only charged me $75. I also discovered that they sell Dunn Edwards paint! I used to have to bring it with me, as it wasn't available in Cedar City. It is the most durable and easy to apply paint I have found- lasts 8- 10 years on the outside wood siding on my cabin! What more can I say? Excellent service, great products, and fair prices. 5 stars for sure.

I scheduled an appointment to be evaluated for a condition . When I arrived, I was informed the…read moreappointment was for an ultrasound. I explained that this was incorrect, as I had already completed an ultrasound elsewhere. I had called the office twice prior to the appointment to confirm that my report had been received, and both times I was told it was on file. However, upon arrival, I was told they did not have the report. Fortunately, I had brought my own copy to provide. While I was attempting to clarify this issue at the front desk, one of the staff members abruptly and loudly stated, "my medical information and history" in front of everyone in the waiting room. This was extremely inappropriate and a clear breach of my privacy, as my personal medical information was shared publicly without my consent. When I calmly expressed that this was unprofessional and not appreciated, the staff members mocked me, closed the privacy screen, and proceeded to make unkind and unprofessional remarks about both me and my husband -- comments that we could still clearly hear through the window. After this, I requested the office manager's contact information, including their name, phone number, and email address, so I could report the incident and resolve the matter properly. The staff refused to provide that information, which I believe is another violation of my rights as a patient and a failure to allow me to report a serious concern. In addition to the privacy breach and unprofessional conduct, the appointment itself was incorrectly scheduled, and I was nearly charged for services that I did not request and should not have been billed for. The entire experience was distressing, unprofessional, and unacceptable for a healthcare environment that is supposed to prioritize confidentiality, respect, and patient care. I then called them about a week later to see if I could get the office managers email and phone number and was refused again. This was insane.
