We both been working in ceramics for about the same amount of time, but she honestly makes me feel like I'm standing still compared to her. If you know me, if you know my drive for ceramics- you know I'm very passionate & chasing knowledge. Seeing this studio space. The walls of clay and glaze test tiles are works of art in their own!!!! The kilns! Ohhhh my, the kilns. I have kiln envy, mine is small... and old.... they have all the kilns! It's really is spectacular to see how advanced this program is. And i met one of the other students while I was there! Love the tiny bit of the school I was able to see. And the campus is crazy. That stadium smack in the middle!

My daughter did two semesters at Coastal Carolina, and my son did three semesters at Western Carolina, before transferring. They are both very happy at AU and proud of the school they attend. They both run Cross Country, and Coach Eagle is a good man who has treated my kids wonderfully. My kids like their classes, their professors, the food in the cafeteria, and their housing, and have made wonderful friends there. I couldn't ask for more. As a parent, not much is better than when your kids are happy.

The tour was very informative and we were taken through dorms and multiple buildings. Their student center is great and I personally was sold on the school after seeing the dining hall (so awesome). The campus is small and easy to get around. I love all the trees and just the general vibe on campus. Highly recommend a tour, if you're looking at colleges with your high school senior!

Very solid Computer Science program (that's what I'm graduating from) with lots of employeers coming here to recruit. I had no problems finding a good job. The engineering and science program is nationally known and has a very good reputation. I know this from personal experience. Other programs I'm probably not qualified to comment on.

I visited with my ex, who got his undergrad here. His Furman degree must have been math because he went on to be a composite materials engineer. A little backstory from their website: "Founded in 1826, Furman University is the oldest private university in South Carolina and among the 75 oldest institutions of higher education in operation nationally today. The university is named for Richard Furman, among the most important Baptist clergyman during the early decades of the new nation and an influential advocate of educational institutions throughout the country." Amy Grant and Victoria Jackson are both notable alumni of Furman. If you are in the Greenville, SC area, do visit the Furman campus! It's lovely!
