Very solid Computer Science program (that's what I'm graduating from) with lots of employeers coming here to recruit. I had no problems finding a good job. The engineering and science program is nationally known and has a very good reputation. I know this from personal experience. Other programs I'm probably not qualified to comment on.

The university is named for Richard Furman, among the most important Baptist clergyman during the early decades of the new nation and an influential advocate of educational institutions throughout the country." Amy Grant and Victoria Jackson are both notable alumni of Furman. If you are in the Greenville, SC area, do visit the Furman campus! It's lovely!

We both been working in ceramics for about the same amount of time, but she honestly makes me feel like I'm standing still compared to her. If you know me, if you know my drive for ceramics- you know I'm very passionate & chasing knowledge. Seeing this studio space. The walls of clay and glaze test tiles are works of art in their own!!!! The kilns! Ohhhh my, the kilns. I have kiln envy, mine is small... and old.... they have all the kilns! It's really is spectacular to see how advanced this program is. And i met one of the other students while I was there! Love the tiny bit of the school I was able to see. And the campus is crazy. That stadium smack in the middle!

I worked and visited the 2024 Clemson Carolina game on Nov 30th. This was my first visit to the…read morecampus and stadium and I was impressed by the amount of diehard Clemson and Carolina fans. I was there as an usher and was fortunate to see the football field up close. It was a special experience. Go Tigers and Gamecocks!

It was opened in 2007, and I found it interesting in an architectural sense, as long as you're in the category of "inspired by stalinist brutalism/public buildings" design. The most striking feature of the building is the view from the fifth floor- they have the student discipline offices up there but they are placed like little offices on the roof, and you can walk around on the exposed roof/5th floor and get quite a decent view of the campus in all directions.

When I came in to meet the owner she explained that while they were new they had already had many esthetician students that had gone through the program and passed their exams. She was sympathetic to my needs and explained that while there are requirements from the licensing board I would still be able to take the vacation we had planned. I'm halfway through the program and couldn't be happier with my experience. My clients have enjoyed the facials I've been able to offer and our instructors give us great guidance on what to expect in the workplace once we graduate. If there is anything we feel we need more hands on experience or help with they don't hesitate to make sure we get that extra instruction. We have had several guest speakers who are talented in the esthetics industry who have added so much value to the course. As a parent with time constraints I really appreciate the opportunity to have started so quickly. If I have to miss a class they offer make up hours on a flexible schedule which I greatly appreciate. The biggest part is that I already feeling prepared to take the state boards as we talk about that thoroughly during instruction. I'm very grateful to have found Dree and TLC and Bella's. Sandra is one of the most amazing teachers I've had and we think of her as a friend not just instructor.

There are many options in the upstate for pursuing a nail technology certificate. Unfortunately,…read morethis establishment isn't one of them. The owner Mrs. Angela Chambers-Lee isn't well versed in the world of cosmetology. Her history is only in servicing hair, not nails, nor skin. However, her school only currently offers esthetics and nail technology courses. The curriculum, though that of the state board, is very loosely covered by her and other "cosmetology" instructors. The instructor claims to know the rules and regulations very well but has no real knowledge of the "do's and don'ts." In persuasion to get me to sign a contract with the nail technology course she informed me that I could obtain some of my hours at a nail salon. After I found out that it was in fact illegal to do so she informed me that since this was no longer an option I would need to pay $20/hr for the hours that I needed to make up. Due to learning early on in her course that she does not keep her word I recorded every private conversation after. A conversation in which she admitted to one of her hired employees forging my signature on a contract, a conversation where she stated she was better than me in life, and a slew of other things. The instructor ended up withdrawing me on the basis that I committed a crime. The crime was that of me recording our conversation. A process that is legal as long as I'm a part of the conversation.
