This church has nice stained glass, wooden carvings of the 10 stations mounted on the columns inside. The nation of India was heavy on our minds during mass intentions, which is where Father Michael is from. We heard that an entire nunnery was wiped out by Covid. All 14 sisters perished. The country doesn't have the ability to report numbers accurately, and the cases of the dead are probably much higher than reported. There is also a gift shop inside to purchase various items, crucifixes, Devine figurines, etc. The community bulletin is well organized with lot of activities planned for every age and gender from Java and Jesus to Outdoor Excursions.

Father Eric is a very kind and well spoken priest. He gives excellent direction and a well practiced homily. Today was the first funeral mass held in person after the restrictions were lifted. Father gave a wonderful speech and celebrated my grandfather so well. Each pew is separated and there are specific instructions for communion and exiting. Extra hand sanitizer at the entrance/exit. While it's a challenge during this time, this church and parish keeps the faith and reminds us there is something more. Recommend stopping by for a quick mass and loving parish.

A lady then proceeds to go up to one of the girls taking pictures and tell her that she will be assaulted for what she was wearing. Maybe a little bit of cleavage was out but that was it. Disgusting to say that to a little girl. Rude people, we called ahead, its not our fault the office lady didn't tell the priest, we had permisson.

After church, DH had some lettuce overflow he had out for people to help eat up so I grabbed a bit to make a salad back at the hotel. Notably: HMC stands for Hamilton Mennonite Church AND Huber Mennonite Church - For a second I was like whoa where did he get an HMC shirt, and then my brain clicked in ;)
