Everything was great except for having to wait to find out the pickup time. I was instructed that I would only be notified the day before the appointment. This makes it difficult to plan anything in advance because you don't know when they will be coming until the last minute. This company had an unfortunate accident when one of its trucks caught fire. Luckily everyone is okay! The reason for the one star review is that after the fire. They left our beautiful beach town littered with shredded paper. It's been weeks since the fire and there is now shredded paper everywhere because they had to empty the truck in a parking lot to put the fire out. I understand a small amount greeting blow around but this is toxic burnt paper that is now everywhere in our community. Do the right thing and come clean up your mess!! read more

Very pleased with Southland Shredding's service. I reached out via Yelp and Robby (owner) was the first to respond with the best flat rate and next day availability. I had a 4 drawer file cabinet plus 2 boxes of papers that I've been keeping since forever in my garage. The truck arrived in the designated time frame. The driver filled a receptacle with my papers and I followed him back to the truck to watch the shredding process on the monitor. He said it would take about 4 minutes to shred. They came on time and did what they came to do, which was shred all of my old tax documents while I watched on their camera, which was attached to their shredding truck. Very cool! Been going there for years for personal document shredding needs, simple drive up, & drop off your documents, they'll meet you at their front office door with their collection bin, & take care of the rest. As of 10/22, they charge $7 for a "bankers/file box" full of documents to shred. read more

Just did 15 boxes of shredding. The gentleman that came to the office was courteous and efficient. A peace of mind watching all the documents that are sensitive get shredded. They have the certifications for HIPAA compliance and charged a very reasonable minimum fee. All my documents came just under the minimum. I called other places and requested quotes. These guys responded quickly, had the fairest and best fee setup, and came within a week of my initial contact. I highly recommend their services.
