Very convenient place to park for just a flat rate of $6. Entrance is on 10th Ave side. I park here when I watch a show at the Schnitzer Concert Hall because it's just one block away. Or even better, grab dinner at Southpark Seafood before the show, get my receipt validated, then be reimbursed for the parking fee when I return to my car. The only irritation I have is you have to wait for the parking employee to swipe your credit card at the entrance of the garage structure. They're not in a stand alone booth so they're not always present. I've had to wait 10 mins idling my car before I started to drive up the ramp to find a parking spot, which the employee then flagged me down to take my payment. Also, the winding pavement up/down the garage is extremely narrow so you have to be careful of reckless drivers going too fast at the turns. There will be standstills when two cars approach each other from opposite sides, which one car will have to yield to the other to continue driving through the garage. read more

DO NOT PARK HERE they don't tell you they will lock your car in at 11pm. Their hours are incorrect online and they won't answer their phone. I get closing the garage at a certain time but you need to allow people to get their cars out and you need to have signage to inform them. We got there right when they opened the next day and there are tons of other people waiting for them to open to get their cars out too, yet they aren't opening the doors. read more

We've been parking here for 14 years and gave a 5 star review until now. Prices went from $6 to $20 for "event parking" and soccer games are included even though it's a 15 minute walk to the stadium. We loved the friendly service, the price, tipping, and the walk. The service is no longer friendly so together with the higher price, we'll find a new place. read more

Our party came across Southpark Garage during our dinner plans to Southpark Seafood. This parking garage is conveniently located right next door and was a complete breeze from start to finish. I pulled into the parking structure and was greeted by an employee within a few minutes. He advised us that parking was $6 flat rate due to it being a Sunday. We made the payment and asked if the restaurant validated and if so, how it all works. The gentleman informed us that patrons will pay upfront and once they return with a validated ticket, money will then be reimbursed. 5 stars for the convenient location , the trustworthy aspect of the garage, extremely efficient and courteous workers. read more

I love this place! The people who work here are very friendly! I loved that I was able to drop my car off for valet parking before work. I rented a spot and can text to have my car ready when I get off work instead of taking the elevator or 5 flights of stairs. The parking garage itself is FINE! But valet parking at the hotel was $45.. say what?!? And there was no other option, like self parking. We drove around and around downtown finding parking garages.. which are everywhere and scooping the best price because some were $30 bucks for all day/overnight parking. Anyhow this place gave us a decent rate and allowed ins and outs.. no brained we said YES and we all lived happily ever after! read more

I am NOT a garage person - bigtime... I also, especially in the Springtime, enjoy a great many performances throughout the downtown area as I grab season tickets for White Bird, the opera, the symphony, OBT and a few other smaller productions. Sometimes I am seeing something right by the park blocks once or twice a week - last week I was at THREE! With that said I do like this area because there is parking available on the street. I find that generally the people in the garages are drivers I try to avoid at all cost. Also, many garages are cramped with a whole lot of exhaust, waits etc... I am also currently in a walking cast which I have to take off and on to be in and out of the car and a parking garage elevator on a good day can be a bit much - people are frustrating to deal with when you have ADA devices and I have had people walk into my boot, cause me to near fall over ....people are a challenge. With all that said - this was good and bad BUT honestly... these folks were great. I was running late to go to a show at the Schnitzer and saw their sign. The guys running the show in the garage were very nice and flexible - they had a few people trying to grab last minute stops and knowing that they remembered a few of us saying go grab your spot and just pay on your way out which was nice sign I still needed to get that boot on which is just exhausting. It took a minute for the guy at the counter to ring me up but it was nice knowing it was taken care of plus...I grabbed a crazy big short spot perfect for my tiny car that has huge doors. Coming out of the performance the guys remembered me and again - super friendly. Then there were the very snotty other drivers - my personal favorite was the older spry couple who practically checked me into the wall to take over the elevator. I was grateful there was a park bench by the garage attendants so I could just sit for 10 minutes and let the it crowd squeal off to whatever it was they really needed to get done. I then got to leisurely ride the old elevator up and head home. But...$5... and genuinely even pretty close to showtime to have a fairly straight walk a few blocks from the Schnitzer if your driving around does not pan out. This is a great option since it is also a pretty clean garage and has far less people than the bigger garages which get VERY clogged up before and after shows on the other side of Broadway. read more

The team here is great! I used to use this garage when I worked in the Fox Tower because it was cheaper than the Fox Tower parking. I also loved that it was valet service and felt I could trust the team to park my car safely. Now I live downtown and use the lot to park my moped. It was the first place I called because I remembered how friendly and professional the team was. It also feels more secure and safe than many of the other lots nearby. When the lot is closed you need a key card to get in. read more

This is a reliable garage which is close to multiple Portland venues. We've used it multiple times when running late to events at the Schnitz when we just didn't have time to scout out street parking or park in Smartpark. They are generally attentive when you drive in and will let you know what level to park on. The only downside is that the spaces can be small and difficult to maneuver into or out of. They accent cash or credit cards, although cash is much quicker. read more

For those of us that commute to work by car to downtown Portland, Southpark Garage is one of the best kept parking secrets. Daily rates are some of the most affordable for the heart of downtown. Monthly rates are a steal! 24/7 reserved parking spots that are priced based on what floor your spot is on. The higher you're willing to park, the cheaper your monthly parking is. If you're willing to park on the 5th floor outdoor roof top parking, monthly parking can be had for $153 a month! The staff are some of the most friendly I've seen for parking garages in Portland. You can tell they actually have a fun time there and enjoy each other's company. The only thing that gets a little harrowing is that there's only one lane of traffic for everyone to share going up and down. It gets a little nerve-wracking when you happen to be going the opposite direction as everyone else, but this happens few and far between. You just kind of figure a way to avoid and get around each other. As long as their rates stay as affordable as they are now, I'll be parking here indefinitely! read more

Southpark garage IS one of the best lots to park in as far as you dollar goes. $8.50 in core downtown, just a couple blocks from the square can't be beat. Plus, they have monthly rates as low as $150 (and that includes using your spot on the weekend AND you can get a pass to let you in/out after hours). I found this place for my motorcycle parking needs originally. Unlike a lot of garages, who won't give you a break for taking up very little space, they'll do a daily rate of $4 for a motorcycle. I don't recall it offhand but their monthly m/c rate is cheap as dirt too. Nice people running this place, conveniently located, and good price. What isn't to like? read more

There is one large problem with this garage, if you are parked on the upper floors there is only one way in and out. If someone is coming up the ramp and you are trying to go down someone has to back up in this very narrow garage and hope there is a spot to back into so the other car can pass. A nearby hotel uses this garage for their valet parking and it can be very busy. If you are there when there is an event in town, especially at the "Schnitz" it can be almost impossible to get your car out if you are going against the flow. $8.50 is as cheap as it can get downtown and it's always nice to have someone to park your car as opposed to circling the garage. The only downside is that when you park there on weekends, it may be a pain to get out since other cars are driving up as you're driving down. Friendly people and the heat lamp is a nice touch when you're waiting for them to grab your car. If you go there frequently enough, they'll go run and grab your car as you're walking up to the shroff office. Oops, I mean cashier's booth. read more

After being one of the few hundred falling casualty to the city owned garages and being kicked out of monthly parking on a recent vote by our wonderful city council at my previous garage, I called on Southpark for monthly parking. The management, staff & pricing is impressive (some of the lowest I've seen downtown). The spots are assigned, so you've always got your very own. The single lane for two way traffic was my only concern, and is a bit of a trick but keeps me in check. The only few times I've come across opposing traffic, you may have to back into an opening to allow a car past, but it's quickly figured out and is not an issue. It's got character and truly is a hidden gem. They've earned my business for as long as this garage is around. read more

Parked in this garage for a year for work. Everything was great until they returned my car with a huge scratch and a denial that it was done while at the garage (despite the card not having any reference to it). Took 2 weeks to even get in touch with the right person. Filled out an incident report which the manager threw away. Contacted their insurance company after waiting 2 weeks only to be told that they aren't covered for stuff like this. Terrible customer service. Terrible experience. Buyer beware: you pay for what you get. It may be cheap but it sure costs more to repair a paint job. I will never park there again. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS GARAGE. I left my car there for business lunch and meeting. When I returned, I provided my slip for them to retrieve my car., and waited. And waited, And waited. Car after car came and went. I also noticed that the all-male staff was more than happy to wait on younger attractive women -- particularly blonde women -- who asked for their car well after me. Finally, they admitted that they didn't know where my car was and asked me to come in to the office to locate my keys. The staff was extremely rude to me and treated me like it was my fault that I could not find my keys easily on a wall of keys. Then, they tried to charge me AGAIN for the retrieval of my car! When my car finally came, the staffer acted offended that I did not offer a tip and offered me a prefunctory and completely insincere. So sorry apology. I will not use this lot again and I recommend use of it only if you wish to be treated the way I was which was poorly. read more
