Southridge Mall is one of my favorite malls I have been to. Every time we are in the Milwaukee area we stop here. It has the best balance of stores, entertainment, and dining out of any mall in the area. Never have had a bad experience here, if ever in this area would recommend a stop here. read more

I love Southridge! It's easily my favorite Milwaukee area mall. Store selection is great, especially for someone who's plus size! Food options are affordable and typical for a mall food court. The Icee's at the combination Mrs. Fields & TCBY are made perfectly, and I definitely wish I got a large size instead of a small. Service was great at the few stores I visited (Torrid, Rally House, Hot Topic, and Claire's). If you like shopping or even walking a mall, I highly recommend taking the trip to Southridge for your next spree! read more

Southridge Mall in Greendale, Wisconsin has a lot of stores that bring back great memories for me. I had the occasion to visit the Mall recently after a 10-year hiatus. I was disappointed to see that some stores had relocated, but I was happy to see a lot of familiar stores prospering. I have always enjoyed ambience and aromas while walking the main corridor. The entire mall is blessed with staff that is very Wisconsin friendly. All were helpful in helping our small group find and direct us to the appropriate stores to make our purchases. We needed some special products and because of their help we were able to locate them. As we walked in the main corridor staff members were saying hello and giving out samples, including food and fragrances. The mall staff/security were very helpful also. We were trying to find the best place to stand to get public transportation. He not only told us, but he took us there and stayed with us until public transportation arrived. He was the perfect representative for Southridge Mall! Great stores such as Macy's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Starbucks, Mrs Fields, Cinnabon, Foot locker, Claire's, JCPenney and many others are all located at this mall. They're undergoing renovation but it is worth a trip. Easy parking in the front or behind for those that decide to drive. Public transportation from buses to trains have stops located near entrances. I hope new stores will find their way to this location. read more

Southridge Mall is deceptively ho-hum from the exterior. I had driven by this mall many times and in comparison with other area malls it's exterior looked painfully dated. Which, of course, led me to think the interior would be so as well. So, I really had no intention of ever stopping. But, then, ever on the hunt for awesome craft beer, I stumbled across the Explorium Brew Pub on Yelp. Local craft brewery inside a mall? Yes, indeed. Not only do they have some of the best craft brews in the Milwaukee metro, they serve some pretty legit pub grub as well. Then, I was in the area and my son needed an outfit for a school interview. With the incentive of post shopping bites at Explorium, we headed to Southridge and ended up have a lovely shopping experience. The interior of Southridge is surprisingly modern (in comparison with the exterior). The floor we were on was entirely carpeted with what appeared to be newer carpet. It also helped to keep the noise level lower than one finds at most malls. Mall shopping will never be my favorite thing. But, I'm glad to know Southridge is there for when I need it. And, that I'll be able to get a delicious craft beer after shopping. Get to it! read more

Southridge mall has a good selection of stores, the guards are strict on costumers and easy on the restaurants or stores in southridge when I have a legitimate complaint. I actually stopped going into southridge for a couple years because they shut down stores I liked and other stores and guards mistreated me at times. (My wife says I have a strong personality that people either love or hate, but I am super nice!) I do like the 60 to escape there now, spent like 500$ on their games. And Though southridge has shut down most of the stores I went there for and kept stores I have complained about. The mall has a fair number of stores but what I'm here to talk about is how perfect it is to go with toddlers. They have a little play area (with phone charging stations for parents). There is even a toddler height sink by the food court. My daughter's favorite was the train driving around the mall that we got to ride on though! read more

Paper towel dispensers do not work. Escalators only have half in service, as usual. Mall sure continues to go downhill.

Today, I was escorted out of the mall by a "security guard" of the mall, for NOT even violating their code of conduct. The security guard kicked me out for taking pictures, NOT for commercial use. Their code of conduct states that pictures cannot be taken for COMMERCIAL use. Even after the security guard finally seemed to understand the purpose of why I was taking a picture inside the mall, she continued to ask me to leave. Sound bizarre? Well, it was. How does a company hire an employee who cannot even read/interpret their very own code of conduct correctly? Pretty scary. What's interesting is that just yesterday, another Yelp reviewer posted a similar comment about being told they cannot take pictures inside of the mall. Hmmmm. Luckily, the mall's GM was very kind, responsive, and apologetic when I spoke with her after the incident, but it still does not negate what happened to me today. What a liability this "security guard" is! Although it sounds like the GM will address this issue, I am still taking it to the owner of Southridge Mall, Spinoso Real Estate Group, as this was an incredible waste of my time today and just downright repulsive. read more

If you want to shop and Southridge has about every store one could ask for available. I know the place is a bit dated and seems a bit retro-ish but it works. Multi-level with glass railings and just store after store. It's better than Mayfair... depending on what your looking for. It's got Kohl's, Penny's, Macy's and Boston Store all attached to the one mall. Boom, hit all 4 up and found the quilt we needed. No driving from place to place. This is exactly what this spot is good for. When your on a mission this is the one stop get, grab and go! Perfect. read more

The bathrooms were filthy. they have no elevator for people in wheelchairs. none of their escalators in the mall were working. you'd have to go into a store to use an escalator to get up or down to the next level. very little foot traffic in the mall. I don't know how any of the stores there stay in business. the people I did see weren't buying anything or even carrying any bags. I know see why I don't go to malls after being there. read more

Worst customer service ever. The employees don't care. When asked why it takes 40 minutes to cook a pretzel the child it in charge says "I don't care " and "get the f@$k out", verbatim. I know it's flip pickings as far as employees but you may not want to hire someone who is trying to fight your paying customers. read more

I think Southridge is having a midlife crisis....I don't think it knows what it wants to be or should be, in terms of it's appeal to the community. It has it's five anchor stores, four of which have been there since the mall opened in 1970. The fifth, Macy's, is the sixth store to be in that space since I've been around (remember Gimbel's, Younker's, Steve and Barry's, Linens and Things and World Market?). Boston Store and Kohl's are still alive and well and JCPenney is holding it's own, but Sears? What is going on there? The departments are all placed willy-nilly to each other, there are multiple "side" businesses going on in the space and there is no continuity. The only department in the whole store that I can see has remained the same is the hardware section! The food court was a nice addition, when it came along, consolidating all the food into one spot, but then why have Gloria Jean's, Buca di Beppo and Auntie Anne's pretzels scattered throughout? Is the mall going back to that? How about attracting some new vendors? I can get McDonald's, Arby's, Sbarro and Subway anywhere. The clothing/shoe and accessory stores, for the most part, are geared towards the under 30 crowd, so what's left? Teavana and the massage place next to it, The Disney Store, Victoria's Secret (2 locations are needed in this mall?), Bed Bath and Body Works, Buddy Squirrel, Yankee Candle, a suit store and 2 high end jewelers. A train that drives children around the mall? Why not just turn the middle of the mall into a small amusement park akin to Mall of America? I not only have to watch out for absent minded shoppers and unattended children, but a small train too??? The mall isn't that wide, especially with vendor carts placed every 20 feet! Southridge, you need to look at Mayfair and Brookfield Square, as well as other malls around the nation to see where you need to improve. You took a cinema out, Mayfair put one in..... I don't know, I'm not an expert on this stuff, I just know that I don't shop here, as an adult, that much. The other malls are much more appealing options. 22/2015 read more

I echo many reviews here by saying Southridge brings back some memories. When I was in high school it was a pretty cool mall with good stores (to a high schooler of course). I hadn't been in the mall for a good long while so it was certainly interesting to see what had changed. You can tell the owners have put some coin into the public spaces as they look recently refreshed. They've also done a decent job attracting additional businesses to the mall itself (Macy's, Buca's) as well as the outlying lots. The stores, excluding the anchors, are pretty downmarket - lots of "disposable" clothes like H&M and Old Navy. It's probably still a great mall for teens looking for stuff at reasonable prices. For me, the trip down memory lane was interesting but I don't need to head back anytime soon. read more

This is one mall that lost a couple of anchor stores, which is very disappointing. Sears and Boston Store are gone. I've been going to this mall since I was a kid. I've seen stores come and go, but it still stayed in business. With the two anchor stores leaving it's a challenge, but I believe it will still stay in business. The holidays really make this mall more popular. The decorations are beautiful and festive. Not much crime or loitering. Security has a handle hear. It does need some more restaurants inside the mall. They've built a beautiful Marcus theater on the outside of the mall and there are plenty of restaurants outside too. I've noticed they've been putting more restaurants in the mall, hopefully more stores will be attracted to the influx of more people. read more

Oh, Southridge. You're so 1995. You remind me of the now long-gone and defunct Northridge of my childhood. (Every year, every year back-to-school shopping at JCPenny. That catalog. That's the old-school shit right there.) Anyways Southridge, you look exactly the same as Northridge did back then. You kind of feel the same. But you're pretty far south, and well, you've got some stuff... but I'm not sure you're aging gracefully. You feel kind of lame. But! There are stores, lots of them. And some of them are pretty okay. And honestly, there's something a little fun and kitschy about the fact that this mall has continued to exist in a space that time has completely forgotten. Also... not sure why, but mall fountains make me happy. Southridge has mall fountains for real. While there the other day, I made sure to stay aware of my surroundings while texting. You don't want to end up like that one lady. So three stars for this spot that time hasn't changed, but continues to exist. Functionality? Sure. Oh... and The Animal Rescue Center! Yay! read more

Southridge is a great mall! It is two stories with lots of stores and a big food court. The mall has many big staples inluding JC Penny, Boston Store, Sears, Kohls, and newly added Macys. There is tons of parking and a few restaurants outside the mall like Applebees, Red Robin, and Olive Garden just up the block. The mall feels safe and always looks clean. read more

In a day and age when suburban mega shopping malls across the nation are dying, a handful continue to thrive. Not sure I know what the important causal variables are, but this one is full and busy pre and post holiday season. I think I would like them more if teenagers weren't allowed in, but then I guess it wouldn't really be a shopping mall. In addition to the usual department store anchors, this one also has some odd and interesting speciality shops, like Ragstock, and I needed a funny hat. Sadly, I do not visit Southridge often. However, this is my go-to mall when I am shopping for something specific and I feel confident I can find it on my own. It is nice they have multiple department stores and all the "cool" trendy stores (yes I still shop at Juniors stores lol). They also have Disney store! There are plentiful options in the food court. The parking lot still exists, unlike other malls that have build so many additions and add-ons to the exterior of the mall or stand alone restaurants there is no where to park anymore *cough*cough* That's you Mayfair and Brookfield Square. I think I shop here more often it was closer/easier to get to..... -2 stars is for the overall customer service I receive here on my last 3 visits. It's subpar. I can walk through an entire store unnoticed. On my most recent visit, which was mid-day during the week, I went into several stores and was either unable to get any assistance or the assistance was rude and not helpful :/ I also was grossly overcharge at the Starbucks and even after inquiring the cashier insisted my small size frappuccino cost $7. So tired of outdoor destination shopping malls (or plazas) that are not in SoCal! I don't want to stress a out parking or the weather. So moving to MKE and I find this. WOOT! What is not to like? I have not shopped at Southridge since late October 2013, and I will not shop there again until the bus stops are placed in a safer location for those of us with disabilities and the elderly. I have MS and, while I can still walk reasonably well without assistance from a cane or walker, I do have issues with balance and fatigue very easily from walking shorter distances. I can only imagine how hard this is on people with canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs. I will continue to urge those I know to consider shopping somewhere other than Southridge, as they seem to only care about the safety of the able-bodied, non-bus riding subset of their customers. I used to go here for Kohl's, Fan Fair, Name of the Game, and Bath & Body Works. I now go to Mayfair or shop online for those stores/types of items. In my mind, they will always have zero stars. read more

Ok, so it's true. I haven't been here since 1996 except for one unfortunate incident about 8 months ago when I was in desperate need of new jeans and I had to go to Maurice's. It was atrocious. The mall was dirty and gross and a million teenagers milling about (ok, yes, it's a mall, I get it) being annoying as fuck in general. I went to Southridge today, again, in desperate need of a very specific pair of shoes for a wedding tomorrow (yeah - last minute, quit judging me). What a change! The renovations (thus far) are fantastic. It is clean and sleek and brighter and carpeted, which made it much more quiet. Southridge has made a very commendable effort to not be such a shit hole anymore and that is pretty great. read more

Still a one star experience. Lots of empty stores, including one anchor store. The security there is rude. Several of the stores have way too many cameras and the employees treat everyone like they are about to steal. Nothing has been updated. The only two stores that are remotely useful to me are Shameless Soap (used to be Shameless Matters in Mayfair) and the Vitamins B Store. Nothing has been updated in decades. It's definitely one of the lower quality malls along the lines of Regency Mall in Racine. I hate malls for sure. I typically go to Mayfair. I guess I will have to stop here once a year to buy my Shameless soaps and lotions. Once their website is set up, I will purchase online and avoid Southridge like the plague. read more

Growing up on the south side of Milwaukee, Southridge was probably the place I visited most frequently, to the point where counting would probably number into the hundreds. I've watched as the city (or village or whatever) of Greenfield has slowly built itself around the mall, and now traffic on 76th and Layton is pretty terrible by Milwaukee standards during rush hour. And Black Friday? Not unless you have a death wish. Here are some memories I have about Southridge: - I was a fat kid, so my times in the food court were mostly spent pining for Sbarro's, the cup of fries at Steak Escape, or Cinnabon, though I rarely received any of them. Probably for the best. - I still to this day continue to purchase all of my holiday cards from that same Hallmark gift shop, despite a Walgreens being literally a two block walk from my house. Most frequented stores: - Aladdin's Castle (the only video arcade I've ever known and/or loved) - Waldenbooks (nerd!) - Gamestop (née Electronics Boutique née Funcoland), - Suncoast (back in a time when a retailer could charge MSRP for a DVD) - K.B. Toys I never had money to buy anything, but a boy could dream, and in the case of Waldenbooks, read stuff for free. -The real pros knew that the best way to get to Southridge (if you're coming from the east on I-43) was to get off on 60th street and drive south to Edgerton or you could even get off on Loomis and go to Grange. Despite renovations, it will always seem a little run-down to me, especially because it's been without a proper fourth anchor store for more than a decade. And though Mayfair will always be more of the boutique-type with a hint of class, what with their movie theaters and Apple Stores and PF Chang's, but who needs a China bistro when you have the free samples enthusiastically offered by China Max? Not me. I will always hold an affinity to Wisconsin's largest indoor mall, regardless of its age. Plus there's no rioting here. read more

I like Southridge mall. They may have lost some anchors, but with dicks sporting goods and the arcade coming, the mall still has life. The food court here is way better than Mayfair's and Brookfield square in my opinion. They updated the interior, added several new stores and have plans for the anchor stores that have left. I agree with Leigh. In high school, this place was THEE place. That was four, five years ago. Now, it's worse than horrible! People, save yourself the frustration and just drive the extra 15 minutes to Mayfair. Trust me, the drive may be a hassle but it is not any worse than what you'll go through walking around this place. read more

I love this indoor mall.........This is Wisconsin.....if I really want a 'shopping experience' I will drive here! I love the people. They are usually ALL well behaved. And now they have such shops as 'Shameless' soaps and Renaissance Books and it is getting to be kind of interesting as days go by.......Pretty soon, bowling, billiards, etc.......What more can you ask for from an indoor mall??? How boring life would be with only stores like Walmart, Target, Meijer, etc..... I'd love to see TJ Max back in there.....and YONKERS and Shopko.........bring them on......... read more

Back in the day, this was the place to be. As a teen your parents would drop you off and you would literally spend the whole day there without spending hardly any money. Flash forward to present time - I spend as little time as possible there now. Southridge has some good things to offer. They do have many stores to choose from for actual shopping vs endless boutiques and specialty stores. They have made some good changes through the years and more currently with the new renovations. Glo Golf is really cool. Animal Rescue is a great addition. Hate the kiosks with the annoying people who try to spritz you with stuff or grab your hand as you walk by - those could go and I would not loose any sleep over it. Recommendations for the renovations: Add a few restaurants back into the mall itself and don't direct shoppers to go outside. What ever happened to the great restaurants that were right in the mall? Not everyone likes the fast food court. read more

Southridge had a makeover! Things to check out (new and old): The upstairs bathroom hall with the "now and then" pictures from the 60's to now. I couldn't take my eyes off of them. They are fascinating and still eerily the same. Macy's The children's train that no longer needs tracks. My daughter was a bit concerned that it drove through the mall amidst the people. She rides it every time we are there and she is still concerned. I may or may not have ridden it myself once. :) Taco Palace (formally known as Taco Johns) The Disney store (if you have small (or large) disney lovers in your life). I believe this is the closest Disney store to us until Wi Dells. The teeth whiting kiosk. I do plan on using this someday. There is a Kohls in the mall. Sometimes you have Kohls cash you just need to use. Depending on where you live in the city it is very convenient - like for us. The one dollar accessory store. read more

Went to the mall today with my youngest son looked around had a pretty good experience. We first stopped at GameStop the staff was very courteous and for the delay of 10 minutes waiting for the cash registers to reboot gave my son a free poster and a key charm and they gave us a 10% discount as well. After we left there we went to Kids Foot Locker it was okay there really didn't have staff approaches masses for anything or if you need any help. So we went next door to Journey and with my son being so picky about time shoes the young lady that helped us provided us with stretchy shoe strings and gave them three different selections of shoes. For picky child it was one of the best experiences I've had shoe buying with them. Thank you read more
