We love Southside! My husband, my 1 year old, and I are all patients and will never leave. Yes, it's true that they require xrays before adjusting you.. and thank goodness, because otherwise you could be seriously harmed by someone who doesn't know what the bones look like on the inside. My husbands elbow was bothering him so he told the doctors and they adjusted it! No more pain. He has planter fasciitis, so in addition to back, neck, and hip adjustments, they also adjust his feet at every visit and it helps! If he misses an appointment, his body lets him know. I had severe pelvic and hip pain during pregnancy. I started chiropractic care at 28 weeks and was able to function the rest of pregnancy. Additionally, I had an extremely fast (5 hours) labor which I attest to chiropractic adjustments helping my body and baby line up properly. I started taking my baby at 1 week old for slight torticollis and difficulty latching while breastfeeding. It helped soo much! Adjustments for babies are almost like massages some their bones are only cartilage at this early age. Chiropractic care in babies can help drain fluid from ear infections, help colicky babies, gassy babies, everything! We are full believers in Southside. Such a scam!!! They bring you in for a consult that takes 1 hour. They make you have 198.00 for xrays. Ok. Then they require you to come E back for orientation. Around 2 hours any night. Then they will tell you what they require to fix you. Don't fall for it. read more

I started coming here a few weeks ago after being hurt in a car accident. I am glad that I chose this office. The entire staff is extremely friendly and actually remember who you are when you come in. They are also very personable and nice. They take the time to consult with me about my injuries and make sure I understand everything and the process. They make me feel comfortable and relaxed when adjusting my back, neck, and shoulder. I recently found out that my Chiropractor dropped out of my insurance network so i was looking into making a switch, this is when i ran into Southside Chiro at an event. I wish to start off by saying that ALL of the staff were extremely kind and accommodating, they have a process in place that i expect makes appointment scheduling and check in easy. For this I give them a 2 stars. Unfortunately the rest was painful. I don't generally write reviews unless it's complimentary, but i felt this one should be written for anyone who takes time to research a new Chiropractor before investing time and money. Below is my list of mishaps: 1. My first appointment was booked at an event, cost me $20 and an early leave from work since they close relatively early or are open only a couple hours mid day. 2. My visit lasted over an hour, was quite extensive which was ok but cost me an additional $60 for xrays. They did not adjust me and i did not see the actual Chiropractor. 3. Was then informed i needed to come back for a 90 minute presentation by the Chiropractor who would go over my xrays and paper and they were only in my area one day a week at noon. This means a day off work for me, i work an hour from the clinic. 3. Called me on my way home from the visit to say i had several more pages of forms to fill out they needed the next day to ensure my visit remained complimentary [although not really complimentary because i already paid $80] 4. I had no way to print the forms before the next appointment so they allowed me to come in 15 mins early to do this before the next visit. Not sure why all this could not have been done at the first visit. There does not seem to be much consideration to the clients time. 5. Finally made the second visit, filled out the 'additional' forms. Sat through a very long presentation by the actual Chiropractor who let us know he was on his lunch break in case we heard his stomach growl not ever a consideration to us for taking time off our work schedules or our lunch to accommodate him. There was good info shared but also a big sales and marketing pitch. 5. Finally, we move onto the final accessment and xrays - NOT by the chiropractor but a chiropractic student. 6. They then present you with a one or nothing payment plan, very expensive, very inflexible, take it or leave it and no good explanation to why this plan was the best plan for you and ALL their patients must plan to be adjusted once per week for infinite?? They tell you prior that they take insurance and have some type of special discounting they offer after insurance but they don't consider insurance in their pricing at all and the cost is not special, discounted or cheap in my experiences. It's actually more than i would pay to the prior Chiro outside my insurance network. 7. The worst of this is you still have no adjustment, if you want one you either sign away and pay their ONE SINGLE PLAN OFFER or the cost is an additional $45 and I'm not certain if the adjustment is done by the Chiropractor or one of the students, I expect it would have been a student. I don't know because now 2 hours later i am leaving with no adjustment a lot of missed time from work and $80 paid out of pocket. read more

Do not waste your time going to this practice. Either the Tyrone or Newnan office. First off, they have ridiculous hours and stretch their staff way too thin between the two offices. Secondly, you have to sit thru 2.5hrs of a sales pitch (spread out over two separate visits) before you can be seen. Third, they say they accept insurance but they push these monthly plans down your throat and claim it's "cheaper". This is a practice out to make money. Not to help people. read more

You will be treated specifically for what you are dealing with without wasting your time with nonsensical extras included. I am 6 months pregnant with twins and am in pain, as you could probably imagine. My midwife recommend this practice, however I don't think she's ever been to the practice herself she's just had other clients use them for chiropractic work. My husband and I both had an "assessment" done today. Sadly we were at the office for over 2 hours and got literally no where. What they don't tell you when you schedule your appointment is that you have to come in for an initial "assessment" then a separate "one hour orientation" and then finally you get adjusted. To expect someone who is in pain, who waited almost 2 weeks to get an appointment that worked with everyone's schedules, who had to just sit through over two hours of an "assessment" and who then was told I have to come back for a "one hour orientation" which only happens twice a week and then maybe I'll get adjusted or maybe I won't until my third visit, is absolutely insane. I would be lucky if I got adjusted in a month due to their schedule and our work schedules because of all these hoops you have to jump through. We happened to be in the room next to the "orientation" that was taking place while we were there and could hear that unfortunately the "orientation" is a sales pitch. We are not new to chiropractors and tried to explain this to the nurse and asked if we could skip the orientation because we didn't need to be sold on anything, we were already sold, we believed. We just wanted to get some relief and possibly get everything done in one visit instead of three. Which to me is not a crazy concept. The office is lovely and the staff is very friendly and like I said we already believe in chiropractic work. We freely made an appointment and walked into the office today looking forward to the outcome. But sadly we were extremely disappointed in the entire practice and their "business model". They should schedule their appointments in a different manner in which everything could be done in one longer initial visit. They also don't go over any prices with you until after your "orientation" so you don't even know what you're getting into. And to make matters worse the doctor called me after our appointment and I thought he was going to tailor our next appointment to us since we weren't new to chiropractic work but instead he talked over my concerns and insulted other chiropractors we had been to in the past. They may be great doctors but for us are not a good fit and we will not be back. My husband felt like we were being sold a timeshare and referred to them as the Scientology of Chiropractors. read more

Don't go if you are in pain and need some relief immediately. After spending an hour going through the assessment I was told I would need to attend a 90 minute "orientation" session before they would do an adjustment. This should be something they make their new patients aware of when they call and say they need an appointment because they are in pain. There website says the first phase is "relief care" and the "first objective is to help you reduce pain and start feeling better as soon as possible". I can tell you that leaving there with just an assessment did not reduce my pain. On their "what to expect your first visit" page even says Consultation, Exam, X-ray studies, Report of Findings, Treatment, and wellness program, I can tell you that is not what I experienced on my first visit. I was expected to come back for a 2nd visit before they would do any adjustment. I have been to many chiropractors before and I never have experienced anything like this. We chose them based on all their 5 star reviews and I can tell you that I did not experience anything close to 5 stars. I was told they are too busy to review each patients x-rays with them at their first visit that is why you come back for the orientation. Maybe if they would open their doors more and stop going out to the community to "sell" their chiropractic care they could actually treat their patients in a timely manner. This has now made me very skeptical of trying to find a real chiropractor that can help reduce my pain and not make me wait for an orientation center. They really need to change their website and make their new patients aware that they will not be treated on their first visit. read more
