The tickets are obtained via the Water Tower's website. We were greeted by Daniella - Manager, and Sue -Tour Guide at the Concierge Desk. During the 30 minute tour, we were informed about the history of North Michigan Avenue and the shopping centre. Each floor will be covered with which stores that is located on it. For any visitors or fellow Chicagoan, I would recommend this tour.

I got to my hotel to enjoy the butter low salt popcorn and it was stale!! Booo!! So disappointed. I opened the Carmel and cheese package the next day and it too was stale tasting. You'll find "The" Chicago location of this iconic toy store in a rather small storefront. This location has some of their famous lines, like cute Jellycat infant toys, and lots of plush toys, especially bears. Many of the toys here are cute, but most are rather expensive. They had a sign advertising a "50%" sale. We only saw that discount applied to a display of cute face-halfmasks of Beanie Boo characters such as Bamboo the panda, Giselle the leopard, and Coconut the monkey. They aren't NIOSH-rated PPE, so we left them. We did see some inexpensive "Charm It!" jewelry and "Mini Barbie Land" toys on the counter, so we'll make some young relatives happy :-) FAO was founded in Baltimore (!) in 1862 by "Frederick August Otto" Schwarz! Who knew? This location has been open since 2019! I never knew. We usually fly in and out of a different concourse. This shop is just a short walk south from the Central Market area where Concourses B and C branch off.

We opted for the ice cream because our go to place Was closed so we wandered over looked at some of the candies and got some ice cream and enjoyed it outside it was July. Nice warm day. This is definitely a place to bring the family. I did see quite a lot of candy that I have not seen in decades so that was very cool. It's not Walmart so you're gonna pay a little bit extra, but the experience is worth it.

Plus the session will be tailored to your needs. I scheduled an appointment and was paired with SA (sales associate) Jackie. Jackie is the best at her craft bar none. I was impressed by her knowledge of products in both makeup and fragrance categories. She definitely knows the brand heritage and really takes the time to get to know you. She is genuine, not pushy and in doing so she helped me find a bottle of perfume I plan to treasure for years to come. She also introduced me to some of the Les Exclusifs which are simply amazing. One thing I want to mention is that this location is strictly a fragrance and beauty shop. I remember a customer walking in asking if the store sold shoes. Unfortunately, this location is not RTW (Ready to wear) and/or a jewelry shop. If those are your aims, you will be disappointed. The only RTW/jewelry location in the Chicagoland area is their Oak Street store in Downtown Chicago. The only accessories I found outside of fragrance and makeup sold here are a limited selection of eyewear and small leather goods (mainly vanity cases). If you're looking to purchase something for the holidays and want to get a nice perfume or makeup set for your loved one, I would definitely look into Chanel. Their Winter Constellation 2025 Christmas packaging is absolutely gorgeous and complimentary with purchase. Lastly, the location was challenging to find. Although my appointment mentioned the store address and suite, they don't really tell you how to get there in detail. You have to figure it out. Oakbrook Center is hella large and it's a mall I don't frequent often. The unfamiliarity of the space almost made me miss my appointment so plan ahead. Also, this is a standalone boutique. If you're trying to find this place, I would park by Macy's, walk towards the fragrance section and then use the exits near Macy's fragrance section and hang right as you exit out through Macy's. The Chanel beauty and fragrance boutique is just a few stores down on the right-hand side near Tory Burch and Coach.

It has its own chill vibe, and it feels much more spacious and open. I went tonight, which is the last night and it closes tomorrow afternoon. Everyone at the all the booths are very kind and provide excellent service. The ice skating rink and huge Christmas tree are so festive. Great ambiance. I finally got a Bob's hot chocolate, which is amazing. The lines were always so long at the market in the Loop and I'm happy I finally got to try the fabulous homemade whipped cream, and the cookie with it was awesome too. My boyfriend's curry wurst was sooooo good, and served on top of a deliciously warm Hungarian bread. I was thrilled that I didn't have to wait at all for my favorite Raclette sandwich. This time I got it with ham. Excellent as always. We also stopped by a croissant shop and had Dubai chocolate covered croissants. Wow!! I stopped by my favorite alpaca booth for socks. Now I am all set with a hat, gloves, scarf, and socks from them (Winterborn Alpaca.) I believe I heard it's a family in Ecuador that makes all these amazing, high quality things that are keeping me warm this winter. I'm grateful this market stays open until December 31. I use them everytime I travel and they perform well. I love the lasting quality of their bags, cute Kipling accessory key chains, easy to clean materials, and durable zippers. The bags easily organize my stuff too, with multiple pockets. Found several cute items on my last visit here, and they were on sale. My Kipling tip: Sierra stores often have a few Kipling bags on sale for cheap too. I always look for them in the purse section.

Melania was the friendly and helpful young lady staffer patiently showing the kiddos what was available and what was on sale, and going back to the stockroom to pick out a new item (if available) instead of the display model. Idyllic used bookstore…read more Lots and lots of books (even the bathroom had bookshelves that we're completely filled)- a great selection of classics & all kinds of nonfiction. Really inexpensive prices, narrow aisles, imperfect order, kind/ helpful/ interesting workers (maybe owners?), a radio in the front tuned to NPR, a couple of dogs that like to follow you around... I ended up paying $5 for 4 books (although the actual total was 9.65... He wanted ones instead of bigger bills). Definitely worth visiting, but I'd call first. The hours are pretty odd.
