We could file for a reimbursemen. Steve Faulkerdon service department charged us over $5k for work on a vehicle. Within 350 miles the same parts needed repair! When I called the service department and talked to Joe and Tommie the response they gave me- We have the best mechanics but we cannot ensure the factory has working parts. We were told the parts and labor are under warranty for two years and we can take it to any Ford. Really this is why I paid $5k for a service job done so poorly. Be careful and do not waste time or money at this service department.

After meeting the manager on duty, Eric Smith, he explained to us that rental cars often get oil changes but do not reset the meter in the car. He showed us that our oil was completely fine and that he couldn't charge us for oil we didn't need. I told him that I didn't know how to thank him for his honesty. My 30-year-old car has 273K miles of wear and tear on any original parts, so the job turned out to be more than simply replacing the pads. The quoted estimate was $1500 for the pads, brake calipers, drums, brake rotors, hardware kits, fluid, and labor. I had seen my car on a lift before taking it to Advantage Auto, and after inspecting the wheels, I knew the brake job was going to be involved (which is part of the reason I didn't want to do it myself). Jason loaned me a car for the day, which I greatly appreciated. AA worked from 9:00 till around 5:30 (they had delays in receiving parts from across town), and got me out of there the same day. My final price of $1300 was lower than the estimated $1500, as they didn't charge me for all the replacement parts. The brakes have been working as needed over the last month. Was it a lot of money? Yes. Did I get what I paid for? Yes. Would I go back? Yes.
