The manufacturer (Burris) made 1 window not according to the order specs, so I would ding them a star for that, but that's not Angel's fault and he communicated clearly with me about the solution, and came out to fix it quickly with no extra charges. Very affordable because he doesn't have separate sales staff (no 2-hour sales song and dance here) and lots of overhead like the big name window companies do.

I called them mid-day (a few hours before they were supposed to arrive) and they said they were coming and to send photos of the shower door. I sent the photos and followed back up before they were arriving to make sure everything is ok. They stopped all contact after that last call and I never heard from them. I called a few more times to see if something happened and they were still coming but no response. I had to pay double to get someone out on overtime pay to do the job as we could not push back the hvac install. This company really screwed me over and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Here's the full story: The brutal Texas sun has never been kind to our west facing front doors. In fact, it wants to burn them to a crisp! Before we fully grasped this concept we mistakenly bought doors made of solid wood. Over time they badly faded, cracked and split. The doors were basically destroyed in a couple of short years, but they weren't going down without a fight! They wanted to take our entryway hardwood floor down too. The door cracks allowed water to seep in which buckled, warped and molded the hardwood floor. Obviously they HAD to go. This is where Designer Door & Window comes in. When we visited their showroom looking for new doors Steve gave us a great sales pitch. His doors were durable! Beautiful! The best doors ever! That all sounded well and good but at the time we just desperately needed ones that didn't leak. Of course he swore to us that that would not be a problem at all. Two months later and $10,000 poorer we got our new Provia doors installed. I have to point out here that we did ask Steve during the ordering process if we could move the speakeasy windows down slightly so we could better see out of them. He obliged but didn't make it clear just how low they would be. When the doors arrived I took one look at them and my heart sank. The speakeasy windows were practically in the center of the doors. It looked odd and ugly. But it was too late to do anything at this point as these were custom made doors. And as long as they didn't leak I guesssss I could live with their unattractiveness. But they did leak, A LOT!!! About a month after installation Steve made his first house call to deal with the already leaking doors. Then over the course of the next couple years he came out several more times to service the continually leaking doors. He made adjustments here and there, replaced seals and reattached hardware, all the while assuring us that THIS TIME the doors were fixed for good. He also disclosed that Provia is a company based up north so they hadn't originally designed their doors to withstand our Texas heat, which may explain all the issues we were having. Now roughly 2.5 years later I get panic attacks when I hear thunder rumbling because the rain leaves puddles inside the doors to this day. And, the hardwood floor (that was replaced at the same time as the doors) has buckled and warped again as a result. Steve stopped coming out to service the doors several months ago even though they are still supposed to be under warranty. But it's not like his solutions ever effectively fixed the problem anyhow. Saying that this entire experience has been a nightmare would be a gross understatement. So it bears repeating, DON'T BUY THEIR DOORS!

He came out and did a good job of replacing a broken pane and servicing the other windows. We were in the market for a new roof as well, and Greg told us he did roofs too. He provided us a quote which was the lowest of the quotes we had solicited. Greg and his crew came out and in one day had replaced the entire roof, installed 6 turbines, and a metal drip edge on the house. They got everything cleaned up and we didn't find a single nail left in the yard. The roof looks great! The next day after the roof, my wife sees water running out of the bathroom ceiling and assumes it is due to the new roof. Greg comes out to the house immediately, and we discover that it is a broken condensate line on the air handler in the attic, and has nothing to do with Greg's work, as they were not in the attic. Greg was really cool about the false alarm and didn't charge us anything for the emergency visit. Greg is a great guy who does good work for a good price. I would recommend him to friends and family.

He could have told me to replace the entire door and do it right - but instead, he applied silicone (a step that was previously skipped) and suggested we watch and wait. If this doesn't do the trick, to call him, and we'll look at a replacement. Since he only had to apply silicone, there was no charge. I WILL DEFINITELY call Don if I need a future glass repair.
