He just entered my property and did the work and then left. It took this Yelp review to FINALLY get some answers. 6 months of me calling Russell's phone, business line and emails with NOT ONE RESPONSE to put a fire under his and DesignCo's feet. So yeah the roof isn't leaking as of now and hopefully it won't once the out of nowhere severe rain storms and occasional snow storm hits us here in Albuquerque. I was told that the front door overhang is not DesignCo's responsibility because they were not paid to repair or replace the 4x4 plywood. Even though it was damaged and replaced by a flimsy 1/4" 4x4 sheet when the had to replace the roof due to shotty workmanship. It rained during that time so the overhang was damaged from the inside out. But DesignCo claims they're not responsible because it wasn't part of the job to begin with but because of DesignCo it was damaged. I was told I was trying to get some freebies and that my roof is closer to 8 years old and not 5. I know it's 5 because I got the date from the pics I took during the installation of the first roof. So anyhow! Apparently my leak has been fixed but the 3 shades of gray, the front door overhang and the small triangular piece of facia. I'm Done! The overhang and facia I can replace myself. The 3 shades of gray and my roof looking older than the 2 neighbors who had their roofs replaced right after mine and still looking great. I'll just have to live with it! Would I recommend DesignCo for any type of roof work. NO! As far as the construction side of DesignCo? I have no idea so I won't say anything negative about their construction. All it took was 2 phone calls! 1 rom the guy to let me know he was coming to fix the leak, let us know it was done and a good bye. Second phone would have or should have been from Russell and or DesignCo notifying me that the gut came and did whatever. But NO! I had to make once a week calls and emails and I believe there were a few text for 6 months with NO response or replies and this Review wouldn't exist. Now I'm asked to remove it because they went beyond with their services. Which was another thing. Don't say you'll be there and never show up! This is what started all of this. So NO I will not remove my Review but have updated that the leak was supposedly repaired and I will not be asking for advice on how to Sue DesignCo.

One went up on the roof immediately cutting a 6"x6" hole in my rubber membrane roofing material that is still under warranty. I was just asking for a quote to see if it's feasible for me to do what I'm hoping to do here. Then they said he cut a core sample- are you kidding? without asking??? Who cuts a hole in someone's roofing material then applies some inappropriate calking that doesn't hold and says to me, "I just cut a slit at the top near the parapet and stuck my finger in". He made all the gestures and was very clear about describing a slit. Even worse when I called them out that this is destroying my warranty she belittles me by saying it's his language barrier and he didn't want to belittle me???? Don't let these people near your roof without climbing up there with them. They think they are pretty smart but cutting a hole in someone's roof without permission is not smart. The guy that came after them to also give a quote said, just to let you know, someone cut a hole in your membrane so I took a picture of it. He was shocked they did that and he is a representative of a big roofing company. So yeah now I have photos. It's called destroying property, lying about it, excusing their behavior then bragging about how capable they are.

This company's quote fell within the range we knew roofing should be for our size of house and they told me they could fit me in by the end of the month. They supplied things the other company were going to charge for and pointed out something we didn't even know we were missing from our home but after checking into it - yes we definitely should have had all along! They did a fabulous job, worked diligently for two days and finished up the last bits of things the third day in under an hour. The roof looks fabulous and the job they did was A+. Their initial quote was given to me while they were standing there after looking at my roof and it actually came in to exactly what I was quoted in the end, which surprised me and pleased me greatly! Angel patiently showed me many samples, covered the pricing in detail, answered all my question regarding the difference in quality of the various products, came to my house several times to see how the installation was going and if there was anything I needed. Irving and Juan were so meticulous in all aspects of the job. I had tile and carpet, part of which was over my partial basement that added a couple of complications where one part of my addition wasn't even with the original house. Richard came out and they worked out a plan to transition the two levels. It came out perfectly. I kept my original baseboards. Irving and Juan removed them without damage, numbered each one and reinstalled them. They were wonderful I can't say enough good things about them. In the middle of the installation, I came down with covid. After a week, they were right back on the job. I was afraid they would have another job in the works and was grateful to see them ready to finish. All and all, they were just about like family by the time the job was complete. I told them I would miss them!! I had a dark tile I loved and carpet in bedrooms. The lighter flooring has brightened my house. I don't miss the tile or the carpet and will never have either again. I definitely made the right decision connecting with ABQ Flooring. And I'll be calling them for another project I'm looking at for my kitchen counter tops.
