I've been going to Southwest Eye Center for about 6 years and have had excellent eye care. Dr. Petracca is the most knowledgeable and kind Optometrist I've ever had. He catches the smallest details and gives a thorough exam every time. He caught an anomaly in my left eye that no one before ever did. This, with a simple flashlight! I recommend SW Eye Center totally. read more

The most unprofessional business in New Mexico ! This place opens and closes at random and may or may not be open during stated business hours. The stated "warranty " on eyeglasses will not be honored if anything happens even though they will agree that the damage was due to their defective frame. Would you trust them with your eyes when you can't trust them to be open or closed on any given day or at any given time which are their stated business days and hours . You cannot trust them to honor their warranty or anything else if you believe that actions speak louder than words then this place should not be a State licensed business !!! read more

Unable to schedule appointment as returning patient lobby is full of Mexican Nationals coming here to get eyecare no room for the average U.S. citizen with full coverage eyecare insurance. Lady with purple hair and ring in her nose was very rude typical don't give a F' Deming attitude read more

I updated all of my information on their patient portal. Phone number, address and everything. Went for my appointment today to find the door locked. Knocked on it and a lady opened saying that they called everyone today to cancel appointments because they're going to be out for 2 weeks. She said they tried to call me at a number that was way out dated. I drove over 100 miles to make this appointment. So apparently the patient portal and their system are not communicating correctly. Rescheduled for February. She was very apologetic and I'm not upset with her at all. Just a little disappointed in the fact that nothing seems to be on the same page. Also unsure of why they would suddenly cancel everyone's appointments to be gone for 2 weeks. read more

I had a very positive experience when it came time to have my eyes checked. Very busy office. They were very thorough. I have diabetes so they do a special test of my retinas. I've had other offices that didn't do that extra test. Maybe it's required now, I don't know. Staff was very pleasant. But a very busy office like a lot of medical offices here in our small town of Deming. read more

Eyemart express said an exam would be $85. JUST for an exam, to get new glasses here, ***$210.*** I did explain I had medicare but not time for ophthalmology appt. Not happening, rather drive out of town than pay Such a Huge Mark up read more

But and most pertinent to this review; her staff people are great; she, the OD has the bedside manner of a reptile, snapped at me for making a little joke or two and said I was wasting her time. Not nice. Out of the two times I saw here she didn't smile once and I'm thinking, as an arm chair psychologist, she needs to retire. Silver City, go to Las Cruses, most people do for medical services. Not a nice woman.

The automated scheduling system for my eye appointment called and helped me schedule an appointment for May. I arrived on time and was handed an iPad to check in. The staff are very friendly and methodical about what they are doing to get you ready to see the doctor , I was amazed at the amount of technology that is used by the techs to test your eyes for the doctor visit. The staff was very polite and courteous letting me know what was happening and what was next. This was a well oiled machine that moved patients through efficiently. I would recommend this place because of the people in it work together as a team. read more

Dr. Diaz is an excellent Opthalmologist his expertise, knowledge and skills are which impress me the most. The office is definitely maxed in the waiting room in Deming NM we have a long wait but for me it's well worth it. The staff is very organized and this office works together as one team. I trust Dr. Diaz with helping me to improve my vision knowing that it will never be 20/20 due to keratoconus 2 corneal transplants lot's of stigmatism difficult patient for sure. I appreciate his patience with me and answering any questions that I may have. I am satisfied with Dr. Diaz for my eye care. read more

Absolutely Wonderful Eye Care. You are treated A#1. I have always had Excellent Care, Great Eye Exams.... Wonderful Dr's an Great Staff. They make sure you are taken care of, that you can see. Any issue are taken care of. This is a Great Deal to me, I have very poor vision. Dr Brian Petracca Always makes sure I come out seeing Better than when I came in. My mother, sister and I have all gotten excellent service. We're told when there are needs that need to be addressed, pending issues we'll have to deal with and the current condition of our eyes. Our prescriptions for glasses are always spot on. That has not been the case elsewhere. Staff members are professional and courteous. The facility is always clean. read more

I realize how hard it for some Drs. To see patients within a few months. I usually see Dr. Once a year. But my husband insisted I see him sooner than later. I love this Dr. He is very friendly.
