She was apologetic, took down my information, and confirmed that the manager would call me as soon as she's able to try to help me. I called an email multiple times over the next two weeks without a response from anyone at The Pinnacles, let alone the manager. The person who made the reservation finally contacted them through the platform where they booked it and finally got the manager to call me back. She began the call my telling me she didn't call me back because they're more focused on finishing their rental season - a great start /s. The manager said that they lacked a CCTV system, which I understand is out of her hands, but when I asked her to help be understand which red cars could have hit my car, she told me that helping me would be too inconvenient. There was not a single customer service bone in her body.

It's always a challenge to find a hotel that will allow you to bring your bikes in to the room. This place really gets it! They have a wash rack right outside the door with some clean rags to wipe your bike down after. They even give you a folded tarp to put your bike on in the room. The staff are kind and the location is wonderful. They will even give you a voucher for a discount on your lift pass! It's not the fanciest place out there, but it's perfect after a long day on the mountain!

I got a package for 120$ which included rentals, a 2 hours lesson and a ski lift pass. I was quite nervous since it was my very first time trying out a winter sport and Rhys- our instructor- was super helpful and super encouraging. At the end of the lesson, he provided us with feedback on what we need to improve on so that we're ready to hit the green runs. I ended up doing the very easy, pre-beginner runs right after the lesson and it was really fun! I fell many times but that is only because I didn't really follow my instructor's recommendation to practice on the bunny hills before I head to the runs. Anyway! Highly recommend taking lessons and enjoying the fresh snow at Big White!

Lodges are old and offer food that is sub-par compared to other resorts in its price range. It's clear that investment has prioritized building a ski village - I guess so you can stare at the muddy slope that is supposed to have snow on it. Go here in the dead of winter. You may freeze your buns off, but you'll get all of the above. In under six minutes, the high-speed quad chairlift takes you to the top of the mountain. From there, you can access 1,112 acres of fall-line skiing and snowboarding. 67 runs, the area also offers expert , beginner and intermediate skiers an inspirational experience on gentle rolling cruisers, groomed to perfection. The resort is intimate and cozy. A village snowball's throw from almost all the winter things you need. With a variety of restaurants, and java joints abound. There's cabin, condo, hostel, hotel, or bed & breakfast, available in the area. Apex Mountain Resort is located 240 miles (405 km) east of Vancouver (4-1/2 hours), and 21 miles (33 km) west of Penticton in the Okanagan Valley. From Vancouver, take the Trans-Canada Highway 1 to the Coquihalla Highway, then Highway 97 to Penticton. Follow the Green Mountain Road for approximately 1 hour to Apex Village. I enjoyed the Gil's bowl area the most. Even in a year when we have the least amount of snow, the weather kept it well. It's much better than the coastal area resorts. The lines are also shorter. This is a great family resort, may not be for the elite thrill seeking crowd but has enough for everyone to do.

Treat yourself to one of the famous cinnamon buns. I just wished, we had more Sun during our visit. Watch out for the grumpy grouses.

From the moment we arrived we where welcomed with open arms....Molly one of the ranch dogs was the first to greet us as we drove down the driveway. I have to honestly say Martin and Bernie and the girls blew us away and exceeded our expectations!!! We wanted a vacation to remember and to do some riding and wow...ride we did. We rode aprox. 6 hours a day on some of the most breathtaking trails in the area. We are both riders and have both done trail rides but nothing like this. This just took our breath away. The views from the mountain tops and the beautiful lakes made for the most amazing experience and some great photos. The horses are so well cared for. Bernie take pride in her herd and you can see it just by spending some time her and with the horses. She loves to share her knowledge of horses with you and I have to say I not only had a great vacation I also learned a lot. As for relaxation I can't think of a better place to unwind and relax after a day in the saddle. Martin made the freshest most amazing homemade meals. Coming back from a morning ride to homemade chicken soup with salad to homemade burgers, guacamole and the best blueberry pancakes ever with fresh squeezed orange juice!!! We were so spoiled!!! The atmosphere was very laid back and the owners and volunteers actually sat down at the table and enjoyed meals with us. Honestly by the end of our 6 night stay it was hard to leave as you really start to feel like family as you spend so much time with them. We made some great friendships with other guests and with the volunteers and we are already talking about our next trip back to visit.
