But it's not easy to get to Alnwick by train since the closest station is Alnmouth. Yellow Taxi to the rescue! We left it rather late but we called Yellow Taxi from the station we were traveling from and he was there waiting for us at the station. In addition to taking us to the castle we arranged a pick up from a different site later in the same day. At the end of the castle tour, my sister became extremely unwell and we called Martin back to pick us up. At the time, we thought he would just take us back to the bus station. However, he agreed he would take us all the way back to Edinburgh (and he hauled a$$)!! He went out of his way to help us and we greatly appreciate him! He literally was a God send for us that day.
