August 1, 2021 Six and Freeman came to trim limbs over the house and raise the canopy to 20 feet. On the estimate he wrote 14-17 feet in stead of the 20 we discussed. As soon as the crew left I called to complain and they said they would be back in two days. Finally on August 23, 2021 I called after hearing nothing. They said they the lifted the canopy to 14-17 feet like on the estimate. I reminded them I asked for 20 feet. I also asked why did they not cut dead limbs. They responded that would be more money. I feel ripped off. Sox and Freeman came to day. I pointed out what had not been trimmed They agreed that there was work to be done. They came back and did a wonderful job. Exactly what I asked for. I had 2 difficult trees removed last year and got a quote to remove the rest of my trees. I decided not to remove them all last year, but they said that the quote was good for a year. It has been just over a year and when I got a new quote it went up by 25%!!! They said "our hourly rates have gone up since last year." That is a horrible excuse for a 25% increase in price. Their work is great...their price isn't. read more

I received quotes from multiple certified Arborist businesses through SC Forestry Commission and went with Sox and Freeman due to there customer service, price, and efficiency. I had a broken tree limb and two trees trimmed high and off our house. They kept a birds nest safe in a tree when trimming. Would recommend, although don't count on being punctual. Both consult and day of trimming they arrived late (consult was 15 minutes late and trimming day was an hour late). I wish they would account time travel when setting appt. read more

I have used Sox and Freeman at my work previously and have been very satisfied. Recently our neighbor had them take out a huge Gum tree that was within 2' of our newly planted Oak Leaf Hydrangeas. I figured that we would lose some of those plants or at least have some damage due to their proximity of the work. The Gum came down, and the 24" stump was ground and not one leaf on our Oakleafs was touched. I am absolutely amazed at how carefully they did the work. Kudos!!!.. read more
