Went here for quick since my kid got hungry and we want to support Asian places too. The place is…read morewell decor and definitely felt like you're in a banquet room in a Chinese palace. Staff are nice and friendly. It upstairs overlook the street and hills and it's pretty. Sat next to the ceiling to floor window and got the sunlight and felt great. Foods are just aok, I know I can't be picky since it's in Bergen therefore I gave it a three instead. It's more catering for the foreigners but favor is there, just blanched and not well seasoned but it did the job of Asian foods and being supportive.

We decided to double the order of their dinner package for two to sample more dishes. The package included appetizers, sweet and sour chicken, and pepper beef. In addition, we ordered fried rice and their special noodle dish for variety. The ambience was pleasant with nice Asian decor and cleanliness. However, the food only received a rating of 3. All the dishes, including the fried rice, were overly saucy and lacked proper stir-frying. The standout dish for us was the sweet and sour chicken, but the sauces were thick with cornstarch. While the portions were generous, the cost was average. Our overall experience was mediocre and unlikely to return. Rated around 2.5-3 stars.

It should probably be called "Sushi House" rather than "China House" but it does offer a bit of both- however the menu definitely leads with sushi at the forefront. The Maki was good with fresh ingredients and rolled tightly (I can't stand it when it's rolled loosely and falls apart or is too large for a single bite.) The wonton soup was a richer chicken & salty broth than I'm used to- but that was actually a good thing because it gave more flavor than other wonton soups I've had. The chicken & cashew with pepper sauce had a thicker consistency than I'd like, however, the flavor was well-balanced with room for you to spice it up even more or just let the pepper flavor build over time. The spring rolls were meat-filled with minimal cabbage- but I loved the sweet chili sauce. The atmosphere was pleasant despite the generic branding appearance outside and the only lack of star was that it was a bit understaffed with what seemed to be one person running orders and refilling water on a Saturday evening.
