I just moved to Kennewick after being gone for 20 years in Alaska. I Went looking for a Holy Spirit filled Church and found Word of Faith in the local phone book which had a promising ad. It sounded just like what I was looking for, all the right words. But, It's not what I was looking for in an Anointed Spirit filled fruitful Christian Church. I gave it a good try, five total Sundays and one week night men's cell group. It seems there is a strong deceptive spirit there that is not from the Lord. Most of the people seem to be happy on the outside. But they are really empty on the inside. When you reach out to them and try to get to know them, they are carrying a lot of bent up anger, strife, sorrow and pain. They seem to be carrying a huge ball and chain that drags their joy and peace away, which they don't even realize, as though they are mesmerized. There is a bondage spirit there of misery as well as rejection and lost. Saw it even in the pastor and his wife, whom seem like very nice people with a lot of wonder in their hearts. I know He just lost his mother and father a short while ago. A large number of married couples have split up since they started attending there. A seductive immodest spirit is there, even among the long time members and leaders of the church in the way they dress. There is emotionalism and performance in the worship where the music is wonderful, but not powerful at all to change. The bible is taught and preached, but not practiced, which is nothing new in the overall Christian church today. Not hardly any fruit of the Holy Spirit there, just a lot of miserable people hoping for change in their lives but not really believing in it. No anointing of the Holy Spirit in anyone I saw, heard or met. Definately a church that needs a lot of healing, but not open for any outside help. If you want change in your life for the better, you better keep praying and looking for another church. This is definatly a prosperity spirit church too, so leave your check book at home. A positive comment, They do have a food bank, which as Christians we should all be willing to help feed the hungry, cloth and help the poor. I enjoy liberty in the Spirit of God moving freely and Freedom of the Holy Spirit to work through me and to me spontaniously from others through a prayer time in church where every service offers prayer as part of the service. It's totally missing there, the powerful Living Kingdom Life of Christ today. The message today from the Lord I hear, is "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord. Be Holy and pure through the Holy Spirit in us, set apart for worship and the Kingdom of God. Be a Kingdom child and come away from their filthy rags and be set free from the darkness within. Step into the waiting arms of Our All Loving Heavenly Father where their is healing, abundant Joy and Life from Christ, from Christ Living in you. We are Children of the Living God, children of the King of Kings and we are anxiously waiting for our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ to return soon and very soon. Keep your oil lamps full dear Bride of Christ. Keep our eyes upon Jesus and know the enemy and how to detect him. He will steal, kill and destroy any way he can, even using the Christian church as Jesus told us he would. That day is here, so test every spirit through the Word of God and know the Lord Jesus so personal, even as one would intimately know their own spouse. Pray for those you know as the Lord puts them on your heart and stay away from those who's spirit will drag you under. Stay in the Life Boat of Christ where Jesus is the only one at the helm, no one else knows where they are taking you, so don't trust any pastor or teacher who tells you they know for sure where they are taking you or their congregation. Only God knows where you are going and no one else can boast of the Good things the Lord has waiting for us in the Kingdom of God right now, today. Check out the Lord's pray for us: Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven...that's right now here on earth as it is in Heaven! We should be living right now in the newness and fullness of God's Love, Joy and Peace right now here on earth. If we are not, we haven't met the One True God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent yet, we just know of Him. You should have miracles, healing and prosperity in Christ already happening every day in your life. Finally, we all need to repent. Change from our wicked ways. Then let Jesus be the only Lord of our lives and always listen for His voice. If you don't hear Jesus when you talk with Him, you really haven't experienced the fulness of the Living Christ yet. Repent of your wicked ways, ask Jesus and believe He will speak to you and He will tell you great and mighty things that you do not know that will save you and make you a new person in the family of God.
