The overall experience was pleasant and the service was excellent. We got there on a Thursday…read morenight (non-holiday weekend) on a rental car from the airport, pulled up to the front, they helped with the bags, and checked us in. The hotel is in the outskirts of the historic center, which is a good idea because you will not feel congested and lost within the tunnels of Guanajuato.
We ate breakfast at their restaurant / bar, which offered amazing service. The waiter was always ready to fill up our coffee and make any custom breakfasts. Food quality was very good and the restaurant was very clean.
The rooms were a little cold and the beds a little stiff (hence the 4 out of 5 stars) but the quality of sheets and furniture was much better than the neighboring Holiday Inn Express that I stayed at a few months back. The pool was being repaired while we were there but it looked like it would be a lot of fun during the summer. I highly recommend this place.
