The 1 hour always flies by as we were trying to figure out all of the clues. We chose the Speak Easy puzzle which was great. We had to ask for multiple clues to get started however, once we got in the groove it was smooth sailing. The speak easy room was 4/6 difficulty so it made for a fun time. By the end of the session we were exhausted from scrambling around but it was worth it in the end. We were able to complete the puzzle however, the last two clues did not work so the staff had to come into the room to help us. From her knowledge they just redid that room and all the clues were not set up correctly therefore, we could not truly complete the quests. Overall, it was a good time. Great team building exercise. I wish they made sure the room was fully functional prior to allowing customers to book that space for the 1 hour session. I recommend checking this establishment out if you are in the area. Cheers!

The two of us went to the Amazing Escape Room in Green Brook for the first time. It's located in a shopping plaza on Route 22 with plenty of parking available. They have 5 different rooms to choose from with varying levels of difficulty. All rooms are private so it's just you and your party - no strangers. You book a room and time slot on their website. It's $33 per person with a maximum of 8 people. There's a $3 booking fee per person as well as state tax. One major con is that they have a 4 person minimum on weekends (Friday 3pm-Sunday 3pm). You can still play with less than 4 people, BUT you're going to have to pay a flat rate of $132 no matter what. I'm not a fan of that at all. Our reservation was for 5pm on Saturday. We were greeted by Erick, who was also our gamemaster. He checked us in and explained all of the rules. We did the Illusionist (magician theme), which had a 40% escape rate. You have one hour to escape. The room wasn't anything fancy or high-tech like some other ones, but still very creative and challenging. It was dim, so we had to use our phone flashlights at times. Erick was very helpful, patient, and had great communication with us during the entire game! You get 3 clues that are provided on a screen. He gave us bonus hints when we were struggling, which we appreciated. He even extended our time by a few minutes. For the most part, I thought that the puzzles and clues flowed well together. We wasted too much time on one puzzle that could have been executed better, but oh well! Sadly, we did not escape... we were 3 challenges away :( It was still a lot of fun! They do offer 50% off if you want to try the same room another time as a redemption. After you play, you can take photos in front of their backdrop with funny props. If you're looking for a fun team-building activity, I definitely recommend escape rooms! Just choose the right people and don't lose your cool ;)

Loved seeing all the halloween decorations and having them scare my family and I once in a while haha. Made it a memorable experience. They provide the golf clubs and golf balls, you get to choose the color or design on the ball you use during your game. Overall, the courses were fun. Just keep note of when you play as the bugs/mosquitos start to pick up when the sun begins to set.

It was a first time for my brother-in-law and his wife, and it started getting them kind of hooked. We've all done a few here and there since then, and we still think that this place does a particularly good job. There's a good level of challenge, and they provide some pretty good backstory to go along with the room too. More recently, we went to try out their second room, The Estate, which has a story connected to the first room. It was another fun and challenging room, and they introduced some really interesting aspects to the puzzles. Looking forward to when they open their third room!
