I went there back in April 2011 to set up an appointment thinking that this was a high end salon. But the staff is snobbish, and from what I heard from someone else after my experience in a review, it was pretty much a similar experience. If I were able to rate this salon on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a "-10!" I read the reviews online which I decided to check it out to set up an appointment. I remember this was in the beginning of April and on a Saturday afternoon when I went to the salon and when I opened the door there were 2 stylists. One of them told me it was closed, which I did not know because I did not see the sign and the door was open. Plus, it surprised me that a "high-end" salon would be open till 3 pm on a Saturday. The stylist was sitting on a couch and if the salon was closed, why was the door open? I told the stylist, who was pregnant and had medium length hair with blonde highlights, that I was there to check if customers needed to set up appointments, and asked for a price range for getting a haircut. The stylist told me that there is no set price and depended on the hairstylists, which she claimed that seeing her was going to be hard because according to her she is booked and that I would need to set up an appointment 6 weeks out. She was not giving me a straight answer of the prices or services rendered, and I got the impression that she was doing me a favor for going to the salon in the first place. She obviously did not want to answer my questions or give me her card or contact information so I could speak to her the next time the salon opened, as I have experienced in other salons, both regular and high-end salons. I was polite and asked for a card or a flier so I could set up an appointment (which I did not plan after her unprofessionalism). I do not recommend this salon if you want good service and professional stylists. From my experience in both high-end salons and modest ones, the stylists treated potential customers with respect and professionalism. I think that I have been treated better in low-end salons than this particular one, and it has not anything to do with being able to afford the service. But unfortunately, Liberal, KS along with Guymon, OK are small towns where you cannot expect great service. Don't get me wrong, there are few places of services (restaurants, salons, etc.) that treat customers well, but I guess they have a backwards mentality and do not like city folks!
