They cared for our children as if they were their own and truly became like family to so many of us. The teachers and staff created a loving, safe environment that my family trusted every day, and I will always be grateful for them. What makes this so heartbreaking is that on June 16, families and staff were notified that the school would permanently close on June 26--giving everyone barely over a week to prepare. Families are now scrambling to find childcare, while many dedicated employees are left facing uncertainty about how they'll provide for their own families. While I have nothing but appreciation for the teachers and front-line staff, I am deeply disappointed in the decision by COO Tammy Dagey and company leadership to handle the closure this way. A decision of this magnitude deserved far more notice and consideration for both the families who rely on this center and the employees whose livelihoods depend on it. The staff deserve 5 stars. They were the heart of this school. This review reflects my gratitude for them and my sadness and frustration with how this closure was handled. My heart breaks for the children, families, and employees affected by this decision.

An anonymous child in my family attends this school....it was the only school left for him since he failed out of a fancy private school and a magnet school and his mom refuses to put him in the school he's zoned to in HISD. He regularly submits blank documents and is given the option to redo assignments...all the way til the end of the semester! This is a child with no learning disabilities, that is gifted. He could read at a high school level in lower elementary and passes state testing easily. He just hates to write and he hates to do something outside of computer games. The teachers seem dedicated and caring,..but to the point of stunting maturity and growth in a child fully capable of easily passing school- if he chose to!

This school also has teachers who my child and many others have said to be "total nuts" due to the way some of these teachers use their class time. One night I pulled out a book to read to teach him sight words and found out I was completely behind! The kid read the entire booklet to me by himself (it was small but so not the point lol). Their teachers are amazing, caring, and not just there to babysit. My children never cry when I drop them off actually my older son has cried a few times because he didn't want to leave and he's actually a mommy's baby so that says a lot! The other school was horrible and it was nowhere up to speed with electronics or the science program. I had to sacrifice and find a way to move back to this area. The teachers are a pleasure. Even though I am familiar with vlookups and pivot tables, Rodger was very informative with all the different ways to utilize the functions. You get a mouse pad with some shortcuts and a handbooks with the items you learn in class so you can revisit the information. I was impressed with his knowledge of shortcuts that I would like to take the class that is specifically for learning shortcuts. Can't wait to see what all level 3 entails. My only concern is that it is semi fast paced and although I was able to follow along, I could see some others struggling so beware if you are a little slow. He will stop and repeat or go directly to your computer and show you if you are confused.
